Stamping T Tutorial ~ Cupcake Oven

I recently purchased a couple of tutorials from Stamping T.  One of them was to make a Cupcake Oven.  I attempted to create it today.  I know mine doesn't compare to Tanya's, but she does give great instructions and the $2. I paid for the tutorial was well worth an entire day's creating!  (And I didn't even make the cupcake to go inside yet!).....Here's the link to Stamping T's site and the Cupcake Oven she created.  Thanks so much for the great tutorial Tanya and for the quick delivery on my order...

I had to use Bashful Blue CS instead of Baja Breeze because I didn't have any 12x12 Baja Breeze.  Isn't it cute.  I know hers' is MUCH better but I was really happy with my first try at creating this.

As you can see in the pic' I got to use the new Build-a-brads for the burners, bottle cap for the frying pan.  Also used was Crumb Cake CS, Very Vanilla CS, Brushed Silver CS, Window Sheet for the oven door window.  Patio Party DSP for the Oven Mit, Patio Party DSP for the 312 in the center of the top of the stove, Clockworks and Itty Bitty Bits Stamp Sets.  Lots of punches and Framelits and the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.

Birthday Cards

I created two Birthday Cards with the same design (one for my Hubby and one for my Nephew).

I used Crumb Cake CS for the base and ran some Bashful Blue CS through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder for the next layer.  A little Crumb Cake Seam Binding for the ribbon.  I used the Ovals Collection Framelits to cut another piece of Crumb Cake CS and mounted my Happy Birthday To You Stamp from the Cross My Heart Stamp Set which was also cut with one of the Ovals Collection Framelits and sponged with Crumb Cake Ink Pad.  My Hubby loved his card and I'm hoping my Nephew gets his in the mail today (he's a Groundhog Birthday Boy! LOL!!!).

For You Card

Here's a birthday card I created with an idea from StampingSchool.com.  I used Elegant Soiree DSP and layered onto Bashful Blue CS.  The stamp I used was the For You Flower.  The stamp for the sentiment inside the card is free from Sale-A-Bration called So Happy For You, stamped with Night of Navy Ink onto Whisper White CS and layered onto Night of Navy CS with scallop border.

It's a Z-Fold Card using 5-1/2" x 11-1/4" base, scoring every 3-3/4" for a Z fold.  I used the 2-1/2" Circle Punch and then placed the For You inside after punching it out with the Fancy Flower Extra Large Punch.  It's a fun and easy card to make.  Hope you enjoy it!

Little Desk

I saw this little desk posted on a blog quite some time ago and printed out the picture.  Today my puter was sick (didn't want to turn on for me) ... so I had time to play instead of surfing all day!!!  Here's my version of what I found on Madeline Morcelo's site The Stamping Studio.  Hope you like it?  I used the Matchbox Die cut for the drawers using Chocolate Chip CS and little brads from the neutrals collection.  The top of the desk is Crumb Cake CS with a layer of Bashful Blue CS.  The desk pad is Crumb Cake CS with Whisper White CS.  The little cup is Chocolate Chip CS wrapped with linen thread and secured with a little Bronze Clip.

My Baby Buggy

I found this on-line by Sandi MacIver . She said it isn't her original idea but she does give all the directions on how to make it. She couldn't remember where she originally found it (sorry). You use the Large Sizzix Circle Scallop Die, (I used Bashful Blue CS) the Perfect Polka Dots Impression Folder. Whisper White CS punched with the Eyelet Border Punch. Use the 1-1/4" circle punch along with the 1/2" circle punch to make the wheels and the spinner on the hood of the carriage. A couple of brads from the Hodgepodge Hardware Kit and that's it. Check out Sandi's site for all the instructions. Thanks Sandi!

Blue Rose Birthday Card

I tried making one of the paper roses like Julie Williams at Simi Stamper shared. Those are NOT easy...but they sure come out cute, don't you think?

I used the Bride Specialty Paper and sponged it with Brocade Blue Ink Pad. The rose was Bashful Blue CS sponged with the Brocade Blue. The Happy Birthday is from the Well Scripted Stamp Set on Whisper White punched with the Wide Oval Punch. I used Old Olive for the leaves that were punched with the Extra Large Two-Step Bird punch. The card base is Bashful Blue CS and I rounded the corners with the Corner Rounder Punch. I also used Whisper White Organza Ribbon and behind the sentiment I added a Wide Oval Punched piece of Old Olive CS.

Happy New Year 2010

Here's my New Year's 2010 card. I used the A Brand New Year Stamp with Versamark on Whisper White CS and embossed with gold & silver embossing powder. Matted with Basic Black CS and ran my Bashful Blue and Night of Navy CS through my new impression folder; Perfect Polka Dots, all mounted on a Whisper White CS card base.

Merry Christmas Hot Chocolate Treat

I saw a packet like this in the Craft Sale Kay Sha had on her site .... so many cute things. Go HERE and check out her blog. I used the Bashful Blue CS and Top Note Die sponged around the edges with Soft Suede Classic Ink. The Merry Christmas is a stamp from the Yuletide Christmas Stamp Set that Judy gave me. Stamped Whisper White with Brocade Blue Classic Ink and added some red berries with the Real Red Stampin' Write Pen. Punched it out with Scallop Oval Punch and sponged the edges with the Soft Suede. I added a packet of Swiss Miss Instant Chocolate, a Candy Cane, Hershey Kiss and some mini marshmallows in the bag for a treat. Perfect as a Christmas Eve treat while awaiting Santa's arrival!

Crayon Resist Trees

I learned this from Linda at StampingSchool.com last night. I used a different stamp set than she did, but it was pretty much the same idea. You use black Staz-on ink to stamp the tree image on glossy CS. Then you add some white crayon to some of the branches that you want to look like have snow on them. Sponge the colors for the background (I punched out a 1" circle on a post-it-note for a mask while I did the sky), then took it off and sponged a ittle so it wouldn't be stark white. Use a clean part of your sponge to take the color off the places with the crayon and it looks just like snow. I added a scallop border. The background paper Bashful Blue I ran through the Big Shot with the Sizzix Distressed Embossing plate to give it some texture, added some Bashful Blue Satin Ribbon and Earthtone Base to match the scallop oval.

Best Wishes Tree Card

You can't tell in the photo, but the trees shimmer (I used the new Champagne Mist in alcohol put into a fine mist spray bottle), they're so pretty. I used the Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set stamped on Autumn Meadows DSP and cut two of the trees out with the oval punch. Ran the Dusty Durango CS through my Big Shot with the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder. Layered onto Bashful Blue CS. The best wishes is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set stamped on Whisper White CS and cut with the Word Window Punch and sponged with Soft Suede and layered onto Bashful Blue CS punched with with Modern Label Punch and that is layered onto Soft Suede CS punched with the matching die that goes in the Curly Label Bigz Die.

Beary Best Wishes Card

This little card I saw on the Stampin' UP! Demo website. I changed it up just a bit by running the Bashful Blue CS through the embossing folder Petals-a-Plenty. Used the border punch on the bottom and mounted onto Very Vanilla CS and then onto Basic Black CS. The hodgepodge hardware with pink tafetta ribbon ~ just like the sample. I used SU water color pencils on the little girl bear. She's just the "sweetest"! Thanks for looking and keep stampin'~

Boy Build-A-Bear Card

Equal opportunity ~ did the girl bear earlier so now it's the boy bear's turn ~ isn't he cute?
I used the Build-A-Bear Beary Best Friends Stamp Set and Beary Nice Wishes Stamp Set. I colored him with the colored pencils. Top Note Die cut in half (Dusty Durango CS) and Modern Label Punch to mount the Beary Best Wishes. I used a piece of Dusty Durango Grosgrain Ribbon across the center. The DSP is Pawsitively Prints and Bashful Blue CS and I stamped with Brocade Blue Classic stampin' pad.
Hope you like him!

Judy's B-Day Card

Here's the card I made for my Twin for her Birthday today .... she loved it! I found it on the site Tina sent me to look at something else (thanks Tina) ... Frantic Stamper

Birthday's are so much fun ~ I had a wonderful day, my Hubby sent me flowers to work and we met my Daughter, her Boyfriend and my Grandson for dinner at Outback n Modesto. Then we all stopped by Judy's (my Twin), what an awesome evening.

The card I used A Kind Word Stamp Set, the watercolor wonder crayons to color the image, DSP Bashful Blue. Black and Bashful Blue CS. The most important part is Judy wasn't expecting it (I told her we shouldn't need to exchange cards but she had already done mine for me so this was a surprise for her) .. and she loved it! Thanks Tina and Frantic Stamper!
