While in Boise this past Christmas, I begged my cousin Missy to take our family pictures. She does an AMAZING job and has taken portraits of Lucy before (they're plastered all over our apartment), which are an absolute treasure and one of my favorite memories, so I was thrilled when she managed to squeeze us in before they left for the New Year's holiday (plus she was 9 months pregnant with their fourth). I LOVE them!!

p.s. We survived Snowmageddon part 2-- the additional 20 inches we got this past Wednesday, but somehow my pictures didn't! I captured the mounds of snow, trees knocked down by snow, etc., but they got deleted somehow. Anyone know how to retrieve deleted pictures off a camera??

Snowmageddon!
It's true! We've heard the final count around these parts was that 28.5 inches of snow fell here in Philly-adelphia (as Lucy would say) between Friday night and Saturday. We are definitely SNOWED in!!
This was taken Saturday morning around 7:30 a.m., and the snow continued to fall all day until about 4 p.m. when it finally stopped. Lucy woke up and had eyes the size of quarters when she looked outside at all the snow. She said, "It's Christmas?!?"
We tried to take the kiddos outside to play in it for a little while, but it was such hard work trying to walk around in the waist deep snow that Lucy wasn't really enjoying it and Zachy couldn't move at all in his winter gear, so they were both pretty unhappy campers. I think they liked the snow a little better from inside where they could just watch it pile up.
The snow was as tall as Zachy along our sidewalk, and it was pretty fascinating to see how weather can shut down as a big a city as Philadelphia. The only cars on the road were trucks with plows, and just about everywhere was closed due to weather. We even got church cancelled today (not that I'm happy about that or anything:)!! They said it's the first time in history that Philly has had 2 storms in one winter produce more than 18 inches of snow (although we missed the first one when we were in Boise for Christmas). I guess I'm glad we could be here to go down in the record books, and they're predicting more this Wednesday!!
