JR's Mom, Step dad, Dad, Step mom and his niece all came from AZ to celebrate. We are so happy they were able to make it and we had a good time with them while they were here.
JR with the other Sport Psychology graduates and his professors:
JR didn't really want to go to commencement but I kind of pressured him into agreeing to going but after sitting through his 2 hour hooding ceremony I gave him the ok to skip it if he wanted to he opted out of commencement but the hooding ceremony was really neat to watch. I tried to capture JR on the big screen as he was being hooded and got a pretty bad picture of him and apparently some other guy (JR is on the right).
I threw JR a little graduation party and by party I mean balloons, a pie, and a present. Wasn't much of a party to tell you the truth.
While we were in the bookstore the day before graduation ABC news was in there and asked to interview JR. He so didn't want to do it but they were really pressuring him (as was his dad) so he gave in. This year marked the 100th graduating class from Fresno State. JR didnt' really care much about being the 100th class so when they asked him how he felt about it he was caught off guard a little and he told me he had said something along the lines of "Well, I haven't really thought much about it but I guess it's pretty cool to be a part of it" Well funny thing is, out of everything they asked him that is the one thing they broadcast but they totally spliced it to sound like how they wanted it. News people! You can see famous JR here.So there you have it, JR is now a "Master" of Sport Psychology so if anyone needs a sport psychology consultant, you know who to go to.
