Chrisspy Girls Day

So we did a thing. We decided to spend a day playing with halloween makeup (using the fabulous chrisspy as inspo). It occured to me that I don't blog enough anymore because I'm worried about things not looking perfect enough. THEN I thought, "Oh wait, this blog is for me as an online journal. Screw it" and decided to post these here.
Heather was a gangster clown, Amanda a werewolf and I was an undone skull. Speaks for itself I think.

These outtakes the took with winston while I was removing my makeup are too perfect. I love them so.
These lovely ladies also snapped a few fall photos I have been wanting of my little family so I only felt it was right that Winston get a picture with his Aunts. * laughing emoji here* ( Why aren't there blog emojis??? Can someone make those?)
Halloween is SO much better when you get to play with strange makeup for a whole month!

The Esteé Edit

So I received these products for free in exchange for my honest review of them. The esteé edit is a new line from Esteé Lauder that focuses on the idea that "beauty is an attitude". The products seem to me to focus on glowy vibrant skin and a natural feel. I have really enjoyed using these products so far and have been pleasantly surprised! Details below.
The pore vanishing stick : is a stick that glides on and instantly minimizes the appearance of pores. ( think benefits pore-fessional primer in a stick ) This is my favorite of the 4 by far. I have CRAZY large pores on my nose ( mean girls moment. but really) and this stick blurs them like a in person Photoshop! They say you can use it over or under your foundation but I really recommend under. Putting it over kind of moves your foundation around #notafanofthat. It has a little bit of foundation looking substance in the middle of the stick so this would also be perfect for days where you want to go without foundation at all. Just a little swipe to smoother looking skin.
The Barest Lip Color : Is a lipstick lip balm hybrid. It comes in 6 colors and is a "your lips but better" sort of lipstick. It's very sheer but you can layer it for a deeper color. It contains Muru Muru butter and flower petal waxes. Honestly its very soft and really hydrating but I've been so changed by my lipsense addiction that I haven't worn it more than once. I will say the packaging is super cute though. It's heavy and feels luxurious.
The Flash Illuminator : is a liquid highlighter of sorts. The website describes it as a complexion hybrid that pairs hydrating skincare ingredients with instant illumination. It comes in different colors and each one serves a little bit of a different purpose (which is a little different than most highlighters). The lighter colors work for strobbing and golden highlights where the darker shades work as a blush or a bronzer. I find this works best BEFORE or without any powders (like most liquid highlighting products). Apply with fingertips to the light points of the face (brow bone, cheek bone ect)
Beam Team Hydrate + Glow: is a hydrating lotion and touch on shimmer concentrate duo. I have applied this under my foundation, mixed in with my foundation and as a subtle highlight. I think this would be stunning on ladies who wear minimal foundation but want an extra summery glow. The cap flips open and has a shimmer concentrate you can apply with your finger tips to the high parts of your face that would reflect light and also bronze in the summer.
Hopefully this gives you a better idea about this new line! It really fits a glowy summer look and it's worth at least giving it a swatch at sephora :)

Peach Palette Swatches & Review

Hey there! May's #monthlymakeupinspo is all about grabbing the soaking in the last parts of spring and I thought why not review the Too Faced Peach Palette while we're at it? ( I know. Two makeup posts in a row. CRAZY.) I'll also link the other products at the end of the post!

So if you are part of the *makeup world* ( aka you stalk all sorts of brands and hoard beauty products) you've probably heard of the peach palette. It smells like peaches ( IT REALLY DOES) and it has 18 gorgeous shades.
The hype is real for this product.
It sells out of the sephora and ulta website in 5 minutes. It flies of the shelf and they're currently restocking. I had to stalk this baby to get one and there were 2 left. I saw the other lucky lady clutching hers in sephora. I'm talking iron grip.
Here's the skinny :
+ You can buy it at Sephora, Ulta and the Too Faced Website *
+ They retail for $49.00
+ 18 Shades
+ Limited edition
+ Mix of mattes, shimmers and satins
+ Smells like Peaches (or peach rings?)
+ Same size as the classic chocolate bar and semi chocolate bar palettes
*when they come back in stock

Do I like this palette? OH YES. Is it worth it? Well, that's up to you. I think so. It has become one of my most used palettes even though I don't use all the shades. It has a nice mix of every day and glam and only one shade contains chunky glitter. aka the enemy.
Like most Too Faced eyeshadow products they are VERY bendable which is a big YES (or YAASSSSS) when it comes to shadows. There is nothing worse than a chunky, unblendable shadow.
There is a small amount of fallout, but not as much as say, the lorac palettes.

On to swatches!
Admittedly not my best swatches. Nothing says beauty like a creepy view of my gumby arms, amirite?

SO there you go, a little review and some swatches. If you think this palette might be for you I suggest you stalk too faced and wait for the next release!

Here are the rest of the products!
Nyx Green Color Corrector Concealer in a Jar
ELF Shimmering Facial Whip
Yves Saint Laurent Volupté Tint-In-Oil in Peach me Love
Too Faced Teddy Bear Blush Brush
ABH Single Shadow, Morphe Single Shadow
Becca Luminous Blush in Snapdragon
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Tulip

Classic Soft Bridal Makeup

Hey all! If you've been following me on Instagram you've seen my monthly makeup inspirations (aka #monthlymakeupinspo) where I highlight certain products that I feel fit the month because of season, holiday, ect. This months is focused on a soft classic bridal look because

1. April is my wedding month.
    and
2. My best friend Mckenzie is also getting married at the end of this month!

I have the great honor of getting to do her makeup for the big day so I'm in practice mode for the next few weeks. (If you'd like to volunteer to come over and lend me your face, please send me a message!) This is the first look I've tried out because it's probably the most sought after look for a mix of glam and classic.

Below are pictures of the look I completed with some of the products featured in this months inspo, what those products are and what products were used to achieve this look!
Let's talk products! In this months inspiration  picture you will find:
Red Cherry Lashes #217 //  NYX HD Concealer  //  MAC lipstick in Modesty // Dinair Airbrush Foundation //  Bobbi Brown Blush in Tawny // Chloe Perfume // Love sweet Love Perfume // Becca x Jaclyn Hill highlighter in Champagne Pop // OPI polish in Samoan Sand // Mac Fix + //
Shadows Listed Below
Shadows (Left to Right) :
Anastasia Beverly Hills Vanilla // Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream // Morphe ES76 Pink Moscato //
Makeup Geek Glamorous // MAC Swiss Chocolate // Makeup Geek Mocha //
Eyes:
+ Prime with Urban Decay primer in Eden. Then set primer right away with the shade Cream. I apply it to my whole lid for a smooth and clean base for blending. ( and to cover the discoloration on my eyelids!)
+ Apply Makeup Geek Créme Brulee to the crease. Start with minimal product and continue to go over it to build intensity.
+ Then apply Mac Swiss Chocolate to the outer V and inner crease till the middle of the eye. Apply Luscious (from the too faced sweet peach palette) and Morphe Pink Moscato to the lid. (just pink moscato works just as well, just spray with fix plus for added intensity)
+ Elf liner in Black to the upper lid,  apply a light layer of mascara then pop on Red Cherry lashes on 217.
Face:
Maybelline Matte and Poreless foundation // Nyx Dark Circle Concealer  //  NYX Concealer in a Jar in Green // NYX HD Concealer // Smashbox Contour Sticks // Kat Von D Light and Shade Palette // RCMA No Color Powder // Too Faced Bronzers in Chocolate Soleil and Sun Bunny // Mac Fix + //
Feather Brows:
Mac Modesty on the lips and Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne pop as a highlight! If you have this highlight you know how addicting the peachy gold tone can be. It's hard to reach for another highlighter.

I hope this little bridal look gives you some inspiration, or at least entertained you for a few minutes ;) Feel free to shoot me a message with any questions you have.
I am so in love with weddings (the planning, the pictures, the makeup, the flowers, the love!) and I'm so glad I got to do a little something to celebrate this special month. I hope to do a few more makeup things in the upcoming future. Thanks for stopping by!
xoxo

PS: How gorgeous is my BFF Kenz?! I can't wait for her big day!!

Miss Connell Makeup

I had such a good time doing Shaunessy's makeup for Junior Miss! (or Miss Connell...I don't know what people are calling it so pick one). Don't get me wrong, I was SUPER nervous because I wanted her to like it and everything makes me nervous..but she was so great about it
I've put together a product list below of some things I used for this look, since I thought that would be the easiest way to break it down.
Eye shadow: Too faced Chocolate Bar palette & a little Lorac 2
Eyeliner: L'Oréal Infallible Gel Lacquer Liner 24 Hour
Lashes: Ardell Demi Wispies
Contour: Smashbox step-by-step contour sticks & Smashbox step-by-step Contour kit
Blush: Becca in Songbird
Highlight: Becca in Opal
Foundation: L'Oréal true match: cool
Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills brow gel & light brown powder
Lipstick: Too-faced La creme lipstick in Pink Chocolate
Setting Spray: Nyx matte finish makeup setting spray
I seriously loved working on her perfect skin, and seeing her rock it on stage that night! She won herself that scholarship money, and then went to Europe. Basically, my life was not that cool as a Junior in High School ;)
So the gym basically had the worst lighting in the world which is a nightmare, and it's so orange in there so spare me with the photos, and enjoy the love instead
 ^^ Creepin of course ^^
