...to sum it up

My morning yesterday was spent trying to get a good picture of Olivia and Clara together.  I really couldn't sum up the experience much better than the picture below... Funny thing is...it has become my favorite of all of them because it makes me laugh and shows a little bit of our "real" life :) Here are a few others:

Clara Mae

A few fun facts about Clara~ Her birthday:  As many of you know, I was growing very impatient towards the end of my pregnancy and truly believed I would not go into labor on my own.  Now I can only smile as God knew all along our sweet little girl would come right on time...her exact due date.  Her birth story:  Jon and I decided to go into the hospital about 1:30 am on June 4 after we were pretty confident my water had broke, and I was just starting to have more regular contractions.  I did all the normal labor things: walking the halls, sitting in the tub, breathing through contractions.  I decided to try without the epidural and did natural childbirth this time.  Honestly, I was hooked up to so many different meds during labor with Olivia, I just wanted to try without.  I like to think I did pretty well until I was about 9cm dilated and the pain came rushing in :)  And No, I have not yet forgotten that pain!  Jon keeps...

Sisterly Matching

I didn't think I would be much into the matching outfits for Olivia and Clara.  I believe this is due to the fact that I have memories of Leah and I being dressed in similar cross-stiched sweatshirts made by my lovely mother.  However, when I found these cute little outfits I fell into the trap and couldn't resist a little 'sisterly matching.'

Baby in a Basket

Clara let me do her first photo shoot today while she rested in this little basket.

Snack Time

I am trying to keep up with downloading pictures onto the computer and I have come across a few of Livi that I took in the weeks before Clara was born, but didn't have time to post.  Here is one of Livi at the park resting in the shade and breeze and eating a "very delicious cookie."  :)

Reading to Baby Sister

Sisters

I think these two will be able to pass as sisters fairly well!  We are anxious to see how similar or different Clara will be to Olivia as she grows.  Clara Olivia

Pics

We are home as a family of 4 and enjoying a little bit of peace and quiet believe it or not while both girls are sleeping!  Before I get some much needed rest as well, I thought I would post a few fun pictures from the past few days.  Many more to come I am sure :) Showing off her big girl weight of 8 lb 12 oz! Some time with mom and dad after Clara was born. Olivia loves her little sister! Finally home!  ..and looking pretty relaxed :)
