Be Still and know that I am God

Happy Wednesday!

I know that many of us are on Spring Break or getting ready to be on Spring Break. My kids are SOOO HAPPY!!! We are taking them to the aquarium today, the zoo later in the week, then to church for an Easter Egg hunt. I think this spring break may not really be a break! lol!!!

This really is my most favorite time of year. It is almost Resurrection Day! as someone I recently met so lovingly calls it. I want to take this time to wish you all a very happy, beautiful, safe and blessed Easter.
Over at Freshly Brewed Challenges we have another fun challenge to share with you! We want to See You SHINE!

I created my card using FBD Hannah Belle with Baby Chic Digital stamp, FBD Be Still Easter Egg Digital Stamp, Creative Inspirations Paint in Blue Ice from SCACD, My Minds Eye dot paper, K*i Memories patterned paper, prismacolor markers, and yellow stickles.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I will be back later today to add challenges and links! :) Have a beautiful and blessed day.

An announcement:
We are getting SO CLOSE to our next rubber stamp release!!!
To celebrate we are having a PARTY!!!
(for the record (for my personal use and preference) she is drinking a strawberry icy.
We always get these fun cups and make icy fruity drinks for the kids during the summer ;)

you can join in by snagging this badge and adding it to your sidebar. Please hyperlink your badge to the group here:

Pretty in Pastel

Good Morning Everyone!
This week is spring break for most of the kiddos around here, so I thought I would 'follow the crowd' and join in. The kids are excited to have a break .... and so am I :D.
It is rainy and yucky today, so I expect we will 'chill' and just do whatever we feel like doing.
Maybe I will get some baking in. I vow not to spend the whole day cleaning though!
I do not like cleaning in the rain.
Is that weird?
Anyway, I made this card using Hannah Belle with chick.
I had one Friday night, but had gotten my new skin color prismacolor markers since then and was dying to try them out. I
think I like the way they worked better than my now dried up copics.
They look so pretty and smooth.
You can find this image in my shop: Fresh Brewed Designs

Also, I was asked by a sweet friend of mine to join her team for the TGF Card Battle. This one was all about Going Retro. We need your votes (comments) to stay in the game. We would love it if you could go to this card and make a comment so that we can stay in this battle! Christa made this awesome card for this challenge.
Please go to this link and leave a comment for us - Fueled By Caffeine

Last but not least, my wonderfully sweet friend, Sandra (Rose Petal Creations) left me this award on her blog. She is the one who is always leaving the best comments and takes time out of her day to make so many smile. She is the one who deserves this award. Thank you so much for sharing it with me!
I am supposed to say 10 things about me .. why is this so hard?
1. I love the Lord. I still can not imagine how he loves me with all the wrong I do, but he does ... always... and never leaves me. He died on the cross for MY sin so that I could be saved. He loved me (and you) that much!
2. I love my children, my husband, my family. I am SO BLESSED and thank God daily for each of them.
3. My friends ... I never had friends growing up. I had 'friends for the moment'. I am so blessed to have met so many here in the blog world that have showed so much love and kindness... pray for me and my family and are just always there.
4. My church family and having a place to worship. 5. Being able to homeschool my children.

I will leave my 'about me' (which turned into my blessings) to just 5. Thank you for visiting me today.
Have a wonderful Monday.

Spring Sweetness

My Hannah turned 8 years old yesterday.
She had 2 friends over for a sleep over Friday night and bowling on Saturday. They had so much fast. While I waited for the girls to fall asleep Friday (finally around 1ish but I did not get to bed until 3 because I waited for Tommy to get home), I stayed up and made a card with one of my new images I released this past Thursday.
This one is Hannah Belle with chick.
You can see all the newest images in my shop, Fresh Brewed Designs.
Scroll to the next post to see the new little chicks! A few Fresh Brewed ladies have made darling creations with the images as well. If you get the chance, pop on over and leave them some love. It was totally optional for them, so thank you ladies for taking the time to create and support FBD. I love ya!

Introducing Hannah Belle

Today I am so excited to share with you the newest addition to my shop, Fresh Brewed Designs, sweet little Hannah Belle. Through the hop you will see several different Hannah Belle's. They are all drawn freehand, all a bit different from the next and all have a personality their own, but they are all created after my own daughter, Hannah.

She inspires me to do many things. She is an amazing little girl. This past Sunday she gave her heart and life to Jesus Christ and accepted him as her Lord and Savior. I was also saved around her age. It was so wonderful and special. I was balling and so proud.

Anyway, back to the reason for the post :) ... the hop!!! The hop starts with the wonderfully sweet and talented RHONDA. If you did not start with her, then GO BACK!!! If you have already been hopping and arrived here from KADIE's GORGEOUS blog, then you are right on track!!!

Just in case you need to check and see if you completed the hop,
here is the full hop list:

This is not part of the hop and you are not required to go to win, but if you want to see a BEAUTIFUL card using Hannah Belle Birthday, head on over to Mary's blog, A Latte Inkin' Fun (my kind of blog title!! ;) and leave her some love.

First, I will share with
Hannah Belle Warm and Cozy

Challenges: Crazy 4 Challenges: sketch

She is colored with skin copics and prismacolor markers. The patterned papers are by American Crafts. The card stock is by Bazzil. I paper pieced her coat and hat with the same Bazzil paper. The sentiment is from a clear stamp set out of the michael's $ bin. I cut it out with my Nestie scalloped oval set.

Today I have a few goodies to throw your way. Lets talk about how you can win!!!!
1.)Leaving a comment on each blog will give you the chance to win the Grand Prize of 3 images of your choice.

2.) I will also have a runner up that will receive 2 images of their choice.

3.) Each blog hop stop will be awarding one lucky winner with one free image of their choice.

4.) Now, want to be guaranteed to win an image? Here is how!!! I am adding a sketch challenge to this hop. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO TO WIN AN IMAGE is to make a card based on this sketch during the duration of the hop, add it to your blog with a link back to the hop, leave me a comment so I can go back and see your car
d.

Here is the sketch
Here is a card I made using the sketch. You will see where I rearranged a few things to make it work for me. I am flexible, I just want to be able to see that you used the sketch as your inspiration. :)

Challenges: Creative Card Crew: Punch it
Spoon Full of Sugar: Layering
Dare U 2 Digi: Buttons
Stamp, Scrap, Doodle: Girly

She is colored with skin copics and prismacolor markers. The papers I used for this card are by K&Company. The border punch is by Martha Stewart. Buttons from stash. Flower is from the Paper Studio

This last card I created for the hop is
Hannah Belle Sitting Pretty

She is the very first Hannah Belle I drew
and is the one that got the series started.
My inspiration? .......

Challenges: The Pink Elephant: Sketch
Spoon Full of Sugar: Layering
Creative Card Crew: Punch it

She is colored with skin copics and prismacolor markers. The patterned paper is by American Craft. The paper punch is by Martha Stewart. I created the holes around the circle with my cropodile, used a Marvy scallop circle punch for the center, and embossed it using the swiss dots cuttle bug folder. The sentiment is an snag 'em clear stamp.

I do hope you enjoyed the hop!!! Remember, the hop lasts until FRIDAY at Midnight in case you think you missed it or want to play along with the sketch. I will have more cards to share with you between now and then so be sure to stop back by :)

Thank you for sharing part of your day with us. God bless!

Heather Dennis

Follow Your Dreams

That is exactly what I was doing when I started creating these digis. I was following a dream. I have wanted to create stamps for the longest time. I LOVE cardmaking and stamps .. but something was missing, that need to create what was in my head :) lol. So, I am glad that I can start with my digis and hopefully be able to take it a step further some day.

This card is for this weeks DARLING sketch at ICS this week. I have to tell you I LOVE each and every one of Dawn's sketches, don't you? I have no idea how she creates so many fun and wonderful ones. And guess how our sponsor this week is? ME!!! My shop, Fresh Brewed Designs, will be awarding a lucky winner $10 to spend at my shop:). I hope many of you get to play along:). I used one of my to be released tomorrow Hannah Belle images, Hannah Belle Bedtime. She will be available at my shop, Fresh Brewed Designs, tomorrow. She is colored using copic skin tones ( I ran out of my skin white :( boo hoo! ) my sweet sister bought me this one on a whim while she was out of town (they do not sell them near me) So this Hannah is a little darker than my usual style, but I still think she is darling. I love the color and think it will blend well with a lighter skin tone as well ... just gotta get one :). I used Colorbok double sided paper to create the rest of the card and her dress, the base cardstock is by Bazzil.

Be sure to stop by TOMORROW starting around 8 AM. I am having a blog hop full of fun. There will be a winner at each hop stop, a 2nd runner up and a grand prize winner. I am also having a sketch challenge, another way to win an image ... with a little twist that I am not sharing with you right now, you will have to come back tomorrow to see how you are GUARANTEED to WIN an image :).
Challenges: Stamp, Scrap and Doodle: Girly

Peek!!!!

Hi everyone. Have you ever had one of those days when you just want to crawl back in bed.. and stay there? lol. For no other reason to be lazy (I guess). The kiddos are still a little sick. They have not gotten up yet, so we will know for sure shortly.
Paper piecing, prismacolor markers, copic ciao skin tones,
bazil CS, DP scrap, paper piercing and doodled stitching with white gel pen

Today I want to share with you a card I made using a soon to be released Hannah Belle. This is Hannah Belle Tea Party. I created these images in the likeness of my own daughter when she was around 3 years old. She had the cutest cheeks and ... Oh if I don't stop I never will!!! :) Hannah's favorite color is purple, one of mine too. The funny thing is, I find it VERY hard for me to work with when making cards. I stayed with an entire monochromatic scheme and I am really happy with how it turned out. If you like the Hannah Belles you have seen so far, be sure to come back on January 20th for the full image release, a blog hop and prizes!!! :)

Hannah and I made this yummy banana bread Tuesday and I had to share it with you! It was so moist and yummy!!! Hard to find an egg and milk free recipe that works!!! Well, I had to alter this one to fit our needs, so it was all in all a toss up. I was so happy when it came out. Hannah was a little disgusted mixing the mashed banana concoction therefore a little reluctant to try it after it was baked, but she did and she liked it.. enough to try it once :) lol. I have been munching on it the past few days. Warm it up, slather it with butter and add a hot cop of coffee .. YUMM!!! I think I hear breakfast calling!!! See you all later.
This card is for the following challenges:
Papertake weekly: Sketch
Crazy 4 Challenges : Birthday
Stamp, Scrap, and Doodle: Celebrations

Oh, And Fresh Brewed Designs is the sponsor this week for Sweet Sketch Wednesday! Go check out their fun challenge!!!

For the next 2 weeks, Fresh Brewed Designs will be sponsoring the wonderful ICS challenge blog! Mark your calendars :) I hope to see some of my FBD girls participate and maybe use some of their images. :)

Here is a simple little freebie I thought would be fun for kids or anyone to use. Hope you have fun creating this week.

Hannah Belle Valentine

Hi again! What a fun weekend it has been for me! Lots of smiles and creating and spending time with my family. The kids and I have been a little sick, so we have been home all week. We have chilled out, played wii fit, crafted, got irritated with one another. It has been a wonderful week. ((even if we were sick, lol)). God is so good!!!

I have another Fresh Brewed Designs image to share with you today. This card was created using my Hannah Belle Valentine. These images are near and dear to my heart because they are inspired by my own beautiful Hannah Belle. We called her that when she was a baby, or just plain Belle (not like Belle on Beauty and the Beast, more Italian, lol! ) Such a fun memory. These image are all about her big cheeks and sweet smile. I can't believe how fast she is growing up. Anyway ~ I will stop drifting down memory lane and get on to the card.

I used RAKed papers from my friend Carol. The others are from my scrap pile. She is colored with prismacolor markers, copics and bics. I added stickles to the valentine's in her arms for a little extra sparkle. The ribbon is by American Crafts (my dots). I am entering this card to the following challenges: Crazy 4 Challenges: dots and Cute Card Thursday: Sketch

*freebie no longer available*

My Wonderful Sweet and Beautiful and Amazing Friend Carolyn created the blinkie for me to spread the word about my Hannah Belle Release on Jan. 20. I LOVE it so much and can't stop looking at it ;). If you want a chance to win some free images, email me and I will send you the blinkie to add to your page.

This freebie (along with the others) will only last until Midnight, January 3. Be sure to check out the other posts: you will find a freebie image Here and another freebie Here with challenges, cards and ways to win more freebies! Also, a card using my image, heartbroken, can be seen here and a card using Be My Valentine can be viewed here
