Proof that his reality is nothing like mine:
Mo: "Whatcha doin?"
Jo: "Watching Braveheart."
Mo: "Me, too!" (he is in the bedroom, I am in the living room. He calls me to carry on this conversation -- another issue entirely)
Mo: "I was just thinking. . . "
Jo: "Mhmm?"
Mo: "What do you think about renewing our vows? While the Reverend is still alive?"
Jo: "Ummm. . .what?"
I mean, REALLY.

Ugh...men sometimes, I swear. ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteUuuh...yeah. Now might be the time to suggest some during marriage pre-marital counseling. Where is his head? In all seriousness, I think Mo's comment is extremely telling. He doesn't realize how close he is to losing you. You're contemplating whether or not you should move on, and he's considering a vow renewal, and it sounds like he's considering it for all the wrong reasons. I know that you ARE dedicated to him (your indecision makes it obvious), and I know that you wouldn't hesitate to rededicate yourself to him fully if you knew that he meant it as deeply as he should. I think he needs a wake-up call. (((HUGS)))
ReplyDeleteGuys suck. There are WAY different then women and sometimes its so wierd. Give that boy a wake up call!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, maybe this was what he thought you wanted to hear? Granted, he went about it in a bass-ackwards way, but this strikes me as something he would bring up because it would make you happy. Also not a good reason, but he may have had some good motivations. Not trying to defend, just a different angle to the whacked-out reality; i.e. maybe the out there statement was coming from over THERE instead of from over THERE. (did that make any sense?)
ReplyDeleteRegardless, I TOTALLY hear you. Vastly inappropriate. Vastly. No assvice at this point in time, but if _Mo_ had a blog? I'd be all over that sucker...
Ummmm...what Kymberli said...I totally agree.
