Rachel's book!!!

 My granddaughter gave me this book for Mother's day!! I just love it and I love that she has a love of books and reading like me:)

 She is such a good artist and  good story teller.

 I can't wait to take it for show and tell! Yes adults have show and tell too:)

 We have 3 baby buffalo so far.

 The other day I noticed these deer across the road.

 They eat corn by the grain bins.

 Then somebody drove by and scared them away. I'm sure they come back after dark when no one is a round to bother them.

 The cows and calves are  out on greener pastures. It's a good feeling for the guys.

Books, coat, and bibs...

I posted about a new book awhile back  Levi's Lost Calf, so here is the author Amanda Radke! I am a member of the SD Cattleman's Auxiliary and we sponsored 3 book signing for Amanda. We had a fun 2 days!! She sold books and we gave books and beef sticks away!!

Here is Little Red from the book. Isn't he cute and he's so soft and cuddly! The gals at  purplebannerdesigns.blogspot.com   made him.

It's getting cooler so I thought I needed a jacket on my dress in the basement!

It was a gift from the same aunt as the dress Norma my moms sister. It is a felt jacket I have no idea where she got it. I sure wish I would have asked my ancestors more questions!!

I'll just say more bibs!!! The girls think I need a internet intervention maybe a bib one is in order too.....LOL  JMF

Levi's Lost Calf a must read!!!

The book I've been waiting for came in the mail Sat!!!!!!!!!  This is Amanda Radke (Nolz formally from Howard) first book, first of many I hope!!

Michelle Weber of MN did the illustrations. Cute cute pictures! It is such a good book with a very very good story.

The  book also has a recipe for Hungry Cowboy tin foil Dinner.

This book is a must for all girls and boys. It tells  that the spunky independent spirit of the American cowboys and cowgirls is alive and well!!! I know it will be on my gift list for grandchildren, babies, birthdays, and every other occasion that comes a long.
