Graduation Tote Purse Tutorial Using Ultimate Crafter's Companion Tool

Hi everyone! I am excited to share this Graduation Purse Tutorial using Ultimate Crafter's Companion. As you know, I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of  the DT of Crafter's Companion . I love their products!  I even bought their Ultimate Crafter's Companion Tool on Shopping Channel last Christmas. When I saw Sarah Davis doing the demo, I picked the phone right away and placed the order. Yeah,  this all-in-one tool is amazing! It allows you to score + measure + trim + embellish and emboss. You can create boxes + shaped cards + envelopes and envelobox! And did I mention that it has a bow maker too? I love the Bow Maker, it allows you to make perfect bows everytime! No wonder, they called it Ultimate Crafter's Tool and recipient of the CHA Most Innovative Award 2009!

I love the box making feature of this tool, it might be my favorite. Most of the projects in my Christmas E-book was done using this all-in-one tool.

I just revisited one of my old Tote Purse postings and tried to re-do the project using this Ultimate Tool. Aha! it works perfectly. This purse is super easy to make and all you need is one piece of 12"x12" designer cardstock, ribbon for the handle and extra scraps for the band.

This Tote Purse is great for packaging small gifts like great bridal shower gifts or you can use it to  put your notecards or little gizmos in, like Iphones, Ipods, BBs and other trinkets!

I made this Graduation Tote Purse because my niece is graduating in college this month. I thought this would make a great graduation gift packaging. It will make those ordinary gifts extraordinary.

Please find the tutorial below and give it a try.

Who does not want to give or received a  Valentine gifts in a nice packaging? I think everyone does. I myself is very  fascinated with gift boxes and gift bags. My blog is a living manifestation to it. A friend of mine even offering me to partner with her to put up a packaging company business, huh!  Here is a Valentine Mini Tote Bag that you can use to wrap and present your homemade sweets, goodies or small gift treats this  Valentines Day. Perfect for any party or celebration as favors.

This project was meant to be posted yesterday as my Day 7 of the 14 Days of Handmade Valentine Crafts. But of course, like others, I was also glued on the Superbowl XLV game on TV. I just love watching those funny commercials and the Halftime show was awesome.

This Valentine Tote Bag template was from my 12 Days of Handmade Christmas E-Book. But if you would like to purchase for just this specific template and tutorial. Just let me know.

This is a very easy and fast project. I just used one piece if 12" x 12" of designer paper and one piece of 11" x  8½"  solid cardstock. The embellishment is a Cricut cutout using the Elegant Cakes Cricut Cartridge

Decorate your Valentine party, Bridal party or any themed party with these cute Tote Bags. You can customized you own designs like adding your own monogram with your own wedding color or party theme color. The possibilities are endless.

So, if you are looking for a modern and stylist totes this Valentines Day, this project is great for you.

Faux Alligator Skin Valentine Wristlet

There are so much I want to do for Valentines and because of that, sometimes I am overwhelmed and I end up not able to finish anything. Have you ever experienced having a  "mental block"? I always do, huh! I know I am supposed to be posting everyday for the 14 Days of Handmade Valentine crafts but sometimes I just end up staring at my computer screen and can not decide what to do first.

Any how, For Day 3 of the 14 Days of Handmade Valentine Crafts, I decided to revisit my old post which is the Faux Alligator Skin Wristlet. I know, I wanted to do some packaging  for my Ghirardelli Chocolates and this Wrislet is just perfect.

This is a very fast and easy project and yet it looks so elegant + presentable. The finished project  is great to use as  party gift favors . It is great for bridal shower favors, baby shower favors, Teachers gift or simply use it as a great packaging for your gifts for any theme or any occasions. There's a free tutorial provided on my previous blog on how to make a Faux Alligator Skin Wristlet. Please click here for the free tutorial.

Mini Tote Purse

Because a girl can never have too many cute bags or purses, the idea of making a Mini Tote Purse is irresistible. It's true that having a cute purse can jazz up an outfit.  That's why when I saw the tutorial of Toni Sacrison's Mini Note Purse I went and grabbed my designer paper and made three. Yes, I really love them and when I show them to friends online they can not believe they are made out of paper.

Yes, they look fancy but don't get intimidated because it is super easy to make. I myself was amazed to realized that I only used 1 piece of designer paper for this project. Yes, 1 piece of 12 x 12. So, ladies check out your designer paper now and make as much as you want on these cute purses.

You can put note cards inside and give it as a gift or else, use it a tote purse for your little toys like your BB and Ipod.

Look, I even tried to imitate a Chanel Purse. You can check my Faux Alligator Skin Tutorial for the technique I used for this Chanel inspired purse.

These Mini Tote Purses are great for Bridal Shower give aways or you can even use as goodie bags on your girls birthday party.

          Faux Alligator Skin Wristlet Tutorials

These are the cutest purses I have ever made. I had a blast making them. The technique is similar to the Faux Leather Purse I had posted earlier in this blog. This awesome wristlet purse was made with my Cricut machine using  the Accent Essentials Cartridge.I got my Cricut Expression for Christmas and I just absolutely love it.  It is very easy to use and has endless possibilities. If you do not have a Cricut Machine, please email me for the Wristlet template.

          Faux Alligator Skin Wristlet Tutorials
          • Cut 3 pieces of cardstocks  for the panel of your box (I used Cricut Accent Essential Cartridge , cut at 4" Accent48s)
          • Cut 6" x 5½" of cardstock, score at 2½" at both sides of the longer side. Score 1" of both sides of the shorter side. See template figure below.
          • Coat pre-cut purse template with Versamark Ink Pad.
          • Cover with clear embossing powder.
          • Using the Bone Folder, run the point through the embossing powder, making  several irregular lines imitating the crocodile skin lines. Just make it random or wavy for more natural looks.
                                                                 Wristlet Templates
          • Apply heat to the embossing powder using a heat gun. Make sure entire surface is glossy. Do not burn.
          •  Assemble the box and outside panel. Adhere pieces using sticky strips adhesive tape.
          • Decorate and attached a gross grain ribbon for the handle.
          • If you do not have the tools and still interested to make this project, please email me. I have the complete kit and detailed step by step instructions available for purchase. All you have to do is to assemble the kit and enjoy your cute purse.

          Faux Leather Purses

I just LOVE these Faux Leather Purses and my cute Faux Alligator Skin Wristlet. They are perfect as a Bridal Gift Favor or gift box for little goodies or gift cards. To achieved the faux leather look, Embossing Technique was used. I applied Versamark™ ink over my cardstock and sprinkle clear embossing powder. Then heat emboss using a heat gun. If you notice my sparkly purse, that was a nice end product after a mistake discovery. I had used the Iridescent Ice Embossing powder instead of clear embossing powder during my first try on this technique. But, I kinda like the outcome. It has this glamorous look into it.

Don't you just love this cute little purse? Check out the mini-tutorial here.

Here's my inspiration for the Faux Alligator Skin Wrislet.

                                              Crocodile Skin Bag

I want to make a paper version of this awesome clutch one of these days. I will blog later once I had the replica finished so make sure to come back.
