Easter and the Eastern Market

My family was off on a spring break road trip to visit my cousins in Dallas, and so we brought along a few friends and crashed at their empty house for the weekend. It was a gorgeous evening and we hung out around the fire in the backyard.

We kicked off the party Friday night with a peeps roast. Impaled them with a stick and let 'em burn!

And then we made smores with them! Surprisingly excellent! I wish I could take credit for this brilliant idea, but I came across it on one of the many food blogs I read.

Trying to be artistic about it:
Darling Jenna, cute Katie, and I...

Let's face it, we came back to D.C. for one main reason: these crab cakes! The Eastern Market's Market Lunch (with it's hour-long lines) is worth the trip!

We shopped around in the rain and picked up a beautiful photograph that perfectly represents D.C./Virginia. It's our first piece of "artwork", and will be the first to be hung on our bare walls!

Wright brothers exhibit at the Air and Space Museum (the one on the Mall). We visited Kitty Hawk last month and now we got to see the real plane!

We stopped for dinner at Crepes A-Go-Go in Dupont Circle. It inspired a crepe baking frenzy, which you can read about here!

Can't get enough crepes.

And on a completely unrelated note, here were are last weekend camping with friends (Dustin didn't make it into any of the photos. I guess that makes me a bad wife.) From left, Jessie, Jenna, Sarah, Chelsey, and Samantha:
