Having fun
The cutest bunny you've ever seen. . . I promise!
Considering how much Ava loves her funny little bunny, we decided she could be a bunny for Halloween this year. She was so excited! I thought she would try to play with the ears and tail, but she didn't- she loved it too much! She even got the hop down and would hop like a bunny for us! I love my little bunny so much!!

Fall Pictures
I love fall and I love doing family pictures with the beautiful fall leaves. About a month ago we went up to Wood's Ranch with some friends and did some family pictures. It was beautiful!! I thought I would share a few. I got some good pictures of Ava and I'm super excited about that- she moves too much to get many good pictures of her lately!
Look at her! She thinks she is so big!

Guilty Pleasure
I don't sew. . . like at all. I really wish I did and someday I would like to learn. One of my guilty pleasures as of late is the website www.newdressaday.com. This girl to make a new dress every day for 365 days on a budget of $365. She finds dresses in thrift stores and makes them over into something new. Some she does a lot to others not so much. Some of the things she comes up with I don't super love, but other things are adorable! She has taken my little hidden desire to learn to sew and made it a little bigger. . . a little bit.

New Dinosaurs found in Utah!
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100923/ap_on_sc/us_dinosaur_discovery
I think it's pretty safe to say that almost everyone who knows us also knows that I am a huge dinosaur fan. I've been one since I was old enough to pick up crayons and draw them. The fantastic possibilities of extensive varieties of life coming and going and leaving only a fossil and geological record behind somehow resonated with mystery for me. And as I've gotten older, that mystery has only deepened.
Anyway, I'm pretty stoked this morning to find that 2 new dinosaur species have been found in Southern Utah! Both are varieties of the known and loved "Ceratopsia" group (famous for such varieties as "Triceratops" and "Styracosaurus"). I'm going to stay posted for updates.

Skyfest 2010
Last year Ava had fun at the Skyfest, but this year- she was literally dragging us out of the door! We didn't say anything to her about it until we woke her up and I asked her if she wanted to go see some BIG balloons! She replied, "Oh OK!" Which in Ava language means "Right now!" So we got ready as quickly as possible and away we went! She was completely in awe. It was so much fun to watch. We ran into a few friends while we were there which isn't too surprising because there were so many people there.

Camping at Yankee Meadows
On September 11th we went camping with Robert and Melanie and their girls. Jer and Ava and I were just going to go up for the day and take pictures and hang out, and then go home. Once we got up there we ended up having so much fun that we decided to stay the night! This was actually Ava's very first camping trip- I can't believe it has taken us this long to take her camping! We got a whole lot of great pictures while we were there and we had so much fun!
I wanted to try to get so cute pictures of Ava while we were up there but it didn't really work. She was too distracted by everything that was going on.
Melanie borrowed her Dad's four wheeler and we all took rides. I wasn't sure if Ava would like, but she didn't seem to mind too much.
We decided that this face and its accompanying squeal meant "four wheeler". This is what happened whenever it was near her. It seemed to be a happy squeal though. . .
There was a cool little lake near where we were camping.
