Hancock Reunion: Oceanside, CA June 5th-12th

Grandma Hancock & Mom (DaLauna Lipp)

Mom, Benny & Grandpa Hancock

Sydney (my cousin Ryan's daughter) & Benny

Watching some afternoon cartoons

He couldn't even wait for me to put his swim trunks on.

Dad (Dale Lipp) came out for the day. He flew a kite with Benny & left me my longboard for all of us to use.

Here I go!

This is what happens when you try to get toddlers to smile for a picture.

That's me! I know it's only the white wash, but still!

Wearing board shorts under my wetsuit made me look a little chunky.

My cheering section: Mom & Benny

Grandma & Grandpa Hancock

Cousins: Charles, Me (Jennie) & John

35 of us gathering for dinner & devotional

Flying a kite with Granddad

39 out of 44 gathered for a fun week in Oceanside, CA. My Grandpa & Grandma Hancock saved time share points and rented 4 condos (plus 2 hotel rooms) so we could all get together. Benny & I had a great time with my Mom's side of the family. If you want to see more of our trip, check out a couple of my cousin's blogs: Tammy, Jeff. We'll see everyone at the Hancock Cabin in 2011!

Our Weekend Venture 24th-26th

My little 18 month old tree monkey.

Tree huggers

Cousins Linley & Lucas

You'll always find Benny on the swings!

Lucas, having a laugh.

Linley, being a cute girl.

Our sexy view

Ben Folds and his high-tech stage props.

The view from our parking space. Stupid street lamp was in the way.

Henri Mazza, keepin' it real.

This is where Jailhouse Rock Elvis spent his weekend. That sneaky Benny! This is what I saw when we came home.

Aaron's sister Tamara & her hubby James celebrated their 11th anniversary. They had 4 tickets to see Ben Folds at Stubb's BBQ in Austin on Saturday night and invited us to join them. We drove out to Cedar Park to hang with them for the weekend. It was nice to get away and see family. Benny loves being around his cousins and we want him to get to know the Pittmans better. We left Benny with a babysitter for the first time ever (besides Nana, Papa & Grandma Lipp). He cried for an hour and then cried himself to sleep for 10 minutes. Yikes! Sorry Emma the sitter! Poor thing dealt with my crying child while trying to make cookies with Lucas & Linley and play with them. Benny the party pooper. He's gotta learn sooner or later. We were able to see Aaron's old High School buddy, Henri Mazza, before heading back home. You're a hoot Henri. I'm sure we changed your mind about having kids. Ha! All & all we had a great time. Happy Anniversary Tamara & James! Thanks again for everything!

Cousin Lucas Spends The Night 8/30/08

Squirting Benny with a bottle. His face looks like he was caught in the act. Too funny.
Benny, drumming on the side of the tub while Lucas figures out the squirt bottle.
Buds
All tuckered out
Lucas insisted on sleeping with his sword and bird shaped whistle. I put it on the side of the bed while he was sleeping. Later that night he grabbed the sword and went back to sleep. Boys will be boys. Tamara, I hope you don't mind me posting bathtub pics of Lucas! He he. Lucas thought it was funny that Benny had a small pee-pee. I guess he's only used to his 2 1/2 year old sister Linley. I asked what Linley had and he said "a mock pee-pee". Tamara, what are you teaching this boy! Ha!

We drove Aaron to the airport early Monday morning and then headed down to Cedar Park to visit his older sister Tamara.  Benny & I had a nice little visit with the Pittmans.  We went to the park, strolled around IKEA, indulged on a frozen custard treat at Shake's & bonded all around.  Thanks for having us!
