Green and Yellow

Good morning everyone,

Well, I've had a fantastic birthday weekend, which began last Thursday and finished yesterday! Lots of lovely prezzies on Thursday morning, then I had to go to school but the children were great and all sang 'Happy Birthday' to me. Out with the girls on Friday for some fab cantonese food (which didn't fit into my diet at all!), a visit to the cinema on Saturday to see 'Fast and Furious' - amazing!! And then out for carvery lunch on Sunday with my family - needless to say I now feel like a beached whale and will probably spend the next few weeks undoing the damage!!! Hey ho - you're only 50 once!

Anyway, let's get down to business - it's time for another challenge over at Make My Monday. This week our Caz has chosen another of her famous colour schemes - 'Green and Yellow', perfect for spring. Here's my DT inspiration ...

It's also my turn to post over at the Scrapbook Stamp Society blog today - and as I have had such a busy birthday weekend I have cheated a little and used the same card which showcases one of Sherry Baldy's gorgeous 'Bestie' images called 'Tina Tatters' - which can be purchased at her on-line store HERE. I used my Promarkers to colour most of her and paper-pieced her dress with scraps of the backing paper.

Have a great day,
Hugz, Jan xx

Just to Say ...

Happy Saturday,

It's my turn to post again over at the Scrapbook Stamp Society and I have another of Sherri's gorgeous 'Besties' images for you today. Here's the card I made ...

The image is called 'Lil Muffy Mopsy' and can be found in their on-line store HERE. She is coloured with my Promarkers - don't you just love her blue hair! Papers and other embellishments are from my stash.

Have a great weekend, everyone.

Just for You

Happy Saturday to you all,

Well, I'm half way through my Easter break from school and loving every minute of it - I have done so much crafting, I think I need to buy some more stash! Well, that's my excuse anyway! Lol.

It's my turn to post today over at the Scrapbook Stamp Society and I have a card using another one of the gorgeous images by Sherry Baldy called 'Belinda Beehive', which you can purchase from their on-line store HERE.  This one was made for a crafty friend as part of a DT sister swap over at SSS ...

The card measures 6x6" and is covered with paper from my stash.  The image is coloured with my Promarkers, with a little added glitter to make her wings sparkle. Added embellishments include a Memory Box corner die, stamped LOTV sentiment, pink organza ribbon, three die-cut flowers with candi centres and a few adhesive gems for a bit of bling. Doesn't she look so cute with her little basket of hearts.

Hope you all have a great weekend,

Fairy Dust

Good morning to you all,

It's my turn to post over at the Scrapbook Stamp Society today and I have a fantasy card to show you using the gorgeous 'Fairy Dust' image by Morgan Fitzsimons, which can be found in their on-line shop HERE.

I made a 6x6" card using background papers from Raspberry Road.  I have coloured the image with Promarkers, picking out two colours from the background papers. I decided to give her purple hair to create more of a fantasy theme for the card and have added one of my new die-cut pieces behind the image, together with a piece of polkadot organza ribbon and a couple of die-cut butterflies. Hope you like it!

I would love to enter this into the challenge over at Scrapbook Stamp Society.

Follow your Dreams

Happy Wednesday,

Morning to you all - it's my turn to post over at the Scrapbook Stamp Society and here's the card I made ...

I used a 6x6" card blank and covered it once again with gorgeous paper from Raspberry Road.  The image has to be one of my favourites - it's called 'Tiny and Supersaurus' by Sherri Baldy and can be found in their on-line store HERE.

I have coloured it with Promarkers, added a little glitter and highlights with a white pen.  I wanted to keep this one fairly simple to showcase the image, so have used minimal embellishments, including a gorgeous Memory Box border die, a stamped sentiment, a couple of hearts and some tiny punched flowers.

Why not pop over to the blog and check out the work of my fab teamies.

Butterfly Eyes

Hi there everyone,

Well, it's day three of my Half Term break and all is well - lots of crafting done and I even did some housework too (but, sshhhh don't tell anyone!!)

It's my turn to post again today over at the Scrapbook Stamp Society and I have a card made using a fabulous butterfly image by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff (which can be found in their on-line store HERE).

The background is made using 'Broken China' and 'Seedless Preserve' distress inks. I then put the card front through my printer and added the butterfly image and the quote. I added extra colour to the image using Promarkers, together with a few highlights in white ink. The whole thing is mounted on black card and measures 6x6".

I would like to enter this into the challenges at:
-  'Try it on Tuesday' which is 'All about the Eyes'
-  'Cute Card Thursday' which is 'An Eye for Detail'

Hope you have a great day :)

Sweet Little Cherry Blossom

Happy Wednesday everyone,

It's my turn to post over at the Scrapbook Stamp Society blog today and I have another card featuring one of the gorgeous new geisha images from Sherri Baldy's 'Bestie's' range, which you can buy from the online store HERE. I fell in love with this image as soon as I saw it and couldn't wait to get her coloured in - doesn't she look so cute in her little kimono. Here's what I made ...

I love the peach tones from the background papers and coloured her with my Promarkers to co-ordinate. I used 'oatmeal', 'apricot' and 'honeycomb' to colour her kimono and hair ribbon.  All other embellishments are from my stash.  Hope you like her :)

Ella Bella Buttons

Hello everyone,

It's my turn to post at the Scrapbook Stamp Society blog today and I have a card made using the gorgeous 'Ella Bella Buttons' image by Sherri Baldy - click HERE to buy her from the on-line shop. Here's what I made ...

I wanted to make a different shape card for a change and used paper from my stash.  I love these little girls and they are so easy to colour - I used 'Orchid' and 'Amethyst' Promarkers to colour her dress, shoes and bow and I added a little glitter on her dress for an extra sparkle. The little postcard and sentiment are both from LOTV.

I am playing along at the new Besties Challenge Blog with this one - Anything Goes.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Calendar Days

Hello and Happy New Year

I have something a bit different to show today using a fabulous image by Mitzi Sato Wiuff which can be found HERE at the Scrapbook Stamp Society shop.  Here's what I made ...

I used Promarkers to colour the image and added a touch of glitter in places for some extra sparkle.  The background is made up from squares of leftover patterned paper that I had in my stash - I simply inked and stamped the edges for added effect.  Both the picture and the background are mounted on black card with a little calendar tab added at the bottom.

Hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend,
Hugz, Jan xx

Pigtail Polly

Helloo, I have a project today made for the fab Scrapbook Stamp Society using a gorgeous digital image by the very talented Sherri Baldy.  Here's what I made ...

It's my usual 8x8" scalloped edge card blank, covered with lush chocolate brown paper from my stash.  The pink patterned paper is also from my stash and is cut using a shaped template, then inked around the edges with distress ink and I added a hand doodled border for extra interest.

The cute little image is 'Pigtail Polly' by Sherri Baldy and can be found in their online store HERE.  I coloured her with my Promarkers and added a little glitter to her frilly skirt and the little rose.

Added embellishments include a border cut with a Martha Stewart punch, three dusky pink paper flowers with brown candi centres, some brown die-cut swirls, a couple of pink hearts, a few adhesive gems/pearls and a lovely little sentiment from LOTV which reads 'Because You're Special' to finish off.

If you have time, pop over to the blog and check out some of the work by my fab teamies HERE.

Hope everyone is ready for Christmas!

The Scrapbook Stamp Society

Happy Sunday everyone,

I am excited to be posting today in my role as new Design Team member over at the Scrapbook Stamp Society after being invited to join them last week.  They have a huge selection of digital images and my favourites are by the very talented Sherri Baldy.  Here's what I made for my first project ...

It's one of my favourite 8x8" card blanks covered with gorgeous paper from K & Company which is mounted onto kraft card.  The image is called 'Lucy Lou' and can be found in the on-line store here - http://scrapbookstampsociety.com/auction_details.php?name=Lucy-Lou-Bestie-big-heads-digi-stand-by-Sherri-Baldy&auction_id=104672
I coloured her with my Promarkers and also mounted her on kraft card.  I added green polkadot ribbon and a trio of flowers with button centres and co-ordinating die-cut swirls to match the paper.  A few adhesive pearls and a 'Happy Birthday' sentiment finish the card.

Hope you enjoy your weekend,
Hugz, Jan xx
