My new addiction

Well the shopping has ceased (I should say decreased lets not kid ourselves) at my house! Yes, I know shocking... SO I decided I needed to find a new hobby :) And no it is not sewing (yuck) or scrap booking(boring) or baking (cause I eat it all) It is RUNNING!!! and I love it. Well not so much at mile 11 but it feels so awesome afterward when I finish! Some runs so far this summer.....





Vanessa and I trained hard for this thing and it was so much fun! It does hurt at a certain point but is so worth it! We have become good friends all because of the love of running! We ran together until about mile 81/2 and Vanessa's knee started to give her fits so she told me to go on, she was limping pretty bad! So I kept going and after I finished I was going to get my car to see if she was ok and the tough little cookie was getting ready to run across the finish line right behind me!! She got done and took off her shoes and her feet were bleeding and blistered! It was so sad. She said it was all worth it and we are doing another half together August 27th.

Brayden Blackwell 5 K Memorial Run

This was the hardest race of them all so far and it was only 3.2 miles! I hit the wall so hard half way through. My goal was 24 minutes but I ran it in a 25:02. I was so mad!!





No I did not catch her!!! :(
