Sunflower Friends Lil Pups

We have a new Midweek Throwdown challenge starting today at Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps with a K-9 theme!  I'm excited to say we also have a prize sponsor again this week, the fabulous K 'n K Designs!!  Katlyn has some of the most adorable digital "K-9" designs in her shop too.

For some reason I haven't had time to make a card using one of Katlyn's digital images so I'm going to share my all time favorite K n' K Designs digital image I made into a card before this challenge.

If you know me very well you know it's Maxine.  Katlyn used our boxer pup Maxine as a model for one of her digital stamp sets and also made me a really nice watermark using Maxine.

My first card today uses a pre-colored digital image from Sunflower Friends.  This card has been made up for quite awhile and already gone out in a box of cards for Operation Write Home.

On a personal note, school started today in our little town.  I have a 5th and 6th grader and love them like crazy, I'm also really happy to have a quiet peaceful house...  I need to get back in a routine and get some serious work done :)

Thanks for visiting my blog today!

Sunflower Friends Lil Pups

I have a card to share with you today that went in one of my last Operation Write Home boxes.  I found this cute digital image at Sunflower Friends, it's a digitally colored image and the miss you sentiment is by Paula at Handmade By Paula.

I used a Fiskars embossing plate to do the foot prints embossing on the top of the card as well as some of my Spellbinders dies, the cardstock colors are Via Vellum Brick, Nut Brown and Neenah Desert Sand, the image is printed on Mohawk Bright White.

Sunflower Friends Bunny

My card today is made with a colored digital image made by Sunflower Friends, this bunny comes in a set called Easter Cuties, the paper is also digital and comes in the Easter Collection 102 set.  A quick and easy card to make using Splitcoast Stampers Sketch #300.  I also used a Sizzix embossing folder and Spellbinders oval and scalloped oval dies.  The cardstock colors are Nut Brown, Royal Blue & Bright White.

I like the chocolate bunny she has with her Easter eggs in her basket, I'm going with her!

Sunflower Friends Easter Bunnies

Hello blog friends, I have a couple of Easter cards to share with you today.

These were made for Operation Write Home and are already with one of our shippers.  I used colored digital images from Sunflower Friends and the sentiment is one of Sandy's that you can find here.  My layout is an old sketch from Splitcoast Stampers and the cardstock I used are Basic Black, Lavender, Stampin' Up! Apricot Appeal & Mohawk Color Copy Bright White.

My next card uses a super simple layout, cardstock colors are Royal Blue, Stampin' Up! Apricot Appeal, Basic Black & Mohawk Color Copy Bright White.  I added texture with a Sizzix embossing folder and have a quick, cute, simple card ready to go.  These colored digital images have been fun to work with.

Sunflower Friends Easter Bunny

I have a couple of fun Easter cards to share with you today.
I've been working on getting a box of Easter cards ready for Operation Write Home, the deadline to get our Easter cards to our shippers is March 18th.

I found these cute colored digital images at Sunflower Friends recently and have been having more fun trying out different sketches and making cards with them.  These images have also challenged me to use some different cardstock colors, I like that!   The sentiment is a freebie that Sandy was giving away on her blog in February, there's a bunny that goes with it too.   My layout is Splitcoast Stampers SC#300, the cardstock colors I've used are Via Linen Violet, Stampin' Up! Apricot Appeal, Papertrey Ink Lavender Moon & Mohawk Color Copy Bright White.  I used a couple of Cuttlebug embossing folders and a Spellbinders rectangle die to cut the image out.

My second card also uses a colored digital image by Sunflower Friends, I cut the Easter Basket out with a Spellbinders rectangle die, printed another of Sandy's digital sentiments on the green cardstock and followed Splitcoast Stampers SC#314  for my card layout.   The patterned paper is digital and comes in the set and my other cardstock colors are Discount Cardstock's Royal Blue, The Papermill.com Light Pine, Papertrey Ink Lavender Moon & Mohawk Color Copy Bright White.

Sunflower Friends Lil Pups

I have a few cards to share with you today that are the same yet different using colored digital images from Sunflower Friends online store and sentiments made by my Operation Write Home friend Paula.  She makes digital images & occasionally has a freebie, you can check out her blog Handmade By Paula here.

I made these cards for my OWH Spring Thaw card drive box which is due today, February 28, 2011.  Don't worry, the box has already arrived at it's destination.  I thought this cute pup would make a fun Miss You card for kids and adults too.

OWH Sketch #56 inspired me and I've made several cards using it and was just kind of playing to see what I could come up with by moving things around a little.

The supplies I used for the cards are colored digital images by Sunflower Friends, Paula's digital sentiments, Spellbinders, Papertrey Ink & Taylored Expressions dies, the papers are Carnival Bright White, Nut Brown, Via Vellum Leaf Green & Papertrey Ink Green Boutique patterned papers.  The animal feet is a plastic embossing template made by Fiskars.

Here's a copy of the sketch for you.  Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps has a new sketch challenge each Sunday, come join us if you haven't already!
