I like this beginning picture. I am fully aware most of her head is cut off, but I was trying to video tape and take pictures at the same time. This can be very frustrating!!! I love that her shoulder is up and that she is turning away from JOHN in this picture. Yes people, John is the one who cut Josie's hair. and this is why...
Since I was multi-tasking at the beginning of the hair cut, I forgot to get a great picture, so I went back to Halloween. Josie basically had a mullet with an under shave. Not the cutest thing.
It was getting kind of nappy and stringy, and we decided it was time to give the rest of her hair a chance to grow out with it.
Josie did pretty well, I gotta say....her parents not so well. John and I had a few colorful words to say to each other. See John cuts my boys hair...they have never had anyone else cut their hair. He does an AMAZING job I might add. I know he gave Micah her first hair cut, but I can't remember it specifically. Let's just say we should have gone in with a better game plan.
She is still a beauty, but looks a lot more like a boy. Maybe it is the buzzing he did. Maybe the hair line trim on her neck that occurred. Or maybe the cutting over the ears. John is a WIZ with my boys hair...I think I'll let him stick to my boys hair.
Jo kept giving me this funny look. Maybe she was mirring the look that all the people who saw us out that day gave her. They were trying hard to figure out, boy or girl. Most lost the guess. Sorry Jo...it will grow. My new montra!PS Josie's nose was hurt in a minor accident while her cousins were here the day before. I am not sure what happened. I was very worried her nose was broken, but it was fine...I was informed by doctor John. It was just swollen and had scratch like marks on either side. Oh well, at least she looks like a tough boy!

Belle's also got a mullet in the back, I've been debating about cutting the back b/c it just ends up in a rats nest at the end of the day. We'll see...

She's still adorable. You should have seen my attempt at Gabe's first haircut. It's a good thing I have a hairdresser for a sister. She fixed it for me. :)
Tell John that the boys always look really good. And...Josie will recover.
She looks cute and with that face you can't mistake her for a boy ever! Jeff will always make sure he cuts our kids hair as well. I am ok with him doing Josh, but I don't know if guys are that great with girl hair. I will just pray for all boys i guess.
When I first read the title of this post I thought maybe she had cut her own hair, but then I remembered they usually don't do that until they are 2 or 3. I love that your hubby cuts there hair, I don't think I could trust Sean to do it. I still think she looks Darling and it really is the best way to let there hair fill in and thicken up. I loved your last post to by the way...what a beautiful testimony you have.
I love it. I have been trying to figure out what to do with Mia's hair. I am seriously considering buzzing the whole thing to like 1 inch. Mason has pulled out so much on the top and back that is is short and fuzzy. Then like Lexi is will grow in the back but not on the sides. I think after the new year I am going to give it a try. I worry that she will look like a boy too but after seeing josie I don't think either one could look like a boy. They are way to petite and dainty. I'll just have to put a bow in her hair all the time(not that she will leave it in)!!! Love you all. Wish we were together for Christmas!
I say good call on the haircut. Now it will look so much nicer growing in. I had to do the same thing with Emma when she was Josies age. Emma had no hair on top, only in the back. Ironically, now she has the thickest hair of all of us. Josie would look so cute no matter what her hair looks like. She is a DOLL!
Yeah! I found your blog! I can't believe how big your little Josie is. We miss all your kids. Jeremy and I are hanging in there hoping our girls will be born sometime after this Wednesday. How's Utah? How's residency? Tell you kids hi for us!

That is soo funny Amy!!! She is stiil beautiful, notice I didn't say handsome. She is so sweet and I love the looks she gave you. She knows how to work the camera. Lots of love, Haydee.
