Will White House Press Office Now Declare War On SNL?
When you lose SNL, as a liberal you have lost.

Paterson Whines About SNL Skits
Legally blind New York Gov. David Paterson is comparing "Saturday Night Live" to a bunch of third graders making fun of disabled people.Paterson needs to lighten and grow a pair. The same goes for other Democrats who can't handle criticism, with Barack Obama being a prime example for all his sniveling over Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.
The Democrat says the show's second skit featuring him as a clueless blind man with a checkered past of youthful drug use and womanizing promotes insensitivity against the disabled.
The segment last week featured cast member Fred Armisen - with one eye closed most of the time, the other focused on his own nose - unable to see the host or a prop.
Answering a reporter's question Thursday, Paterson said the show's continued parodies hurt disabled people not in a position to fight back.
I seem to recall Sarah Palin being the target of constant ridicule on SNL and she took it in stride and even appeared on the program. George W. Bush was the subject of merciless ridicule for eight years and I never once heard him whine about it.
If anything, Paterson should probably appear on the show to demonstrate he can take a joke. Otherwise, they'll probably just pile on knowing the struck a nerve.

SNL Skewers Olberdunce
You just know the mentally unstable MessNBC fraud is seething over this. This no doubt will make Ben Affleck the next worst person in Olbermann's fevered imagination.
The only thing is, since the guy has so few viewers, most of the SNL audience must have been wondering who the crazy guy was.

'You Are Way Hotter in Person'
The scene then switched backstage to the real Palin and the show’s producer Lorne Michaels who were accosted by outspoken, left-leaning actor Baldwin, who said “Hey Tina” before proceeding to trash Palin.Baldwin, of all people, played it like a good sport. But seriously, he's got to drop about 50 pounds.
The skit played off Fey’s remarkable resemblance to Palin and seeming ability to channel her voice and manner, with Baldwin appearing to think he was talking to Fey while insulting Palin repeatedly. Informed by Michaels he was speaking to Palin herself, he quipped, “You are way hotter in person.”
Baldwin, who co-stars on hit comedy TV show “30 Rock” with Fey, then left to whisper to Fey, at the press conference, that the real Palin was on hand. “What? The real one? Bye!” she said, fleeing. Palin then took her place.
Meanwhile, the angry left checks in.
I wish I could find some code, but for now you can see the video here.
Update: Here's some video:

How Convenient: Edited SNL Sketch Omits Barney Frank
Wave goodbye to your credibility, folks.
Once again, here's the original clip. Not every comedy sketch on "Saturday Night Live" has to do with Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
It just seems that way recently, as The Ticket has reported here and here and here.
But there's an unusual twist this week over another SNL skit. This one concerns a long, satirical bit about the Washington financial bailout bill including a "President Bush," a House Speaker "Nancy Pelosi" and a Rep. "Barney Frank."
Pelosi introduces a series of alleged "victims" of the Wall Street mess, who include two men clearly unqualified to have any kind of mortgage, a well-to-do couple who speculated in condos and lost all but 10% of their profits and an older couple, Herb and Marion Sandler.
As our blogging colleagues Peter Viles at L.A. Land and Matea Gold Show Tracker have thoroughly documented, the Sandlers actually exist and are prominent supporters of liberal and Democratic causes. They assembled a vast array of subprime loan packages in their Golden West Financial and sold it to Wachovia Bank for $24 billion before the financial bottom fell out.
In the skit, a parody of a C-SPAN news conference replay, the Sandlers express puzzlement over why Pelosi invited them as victims because they're really delighted with their fortune and laughingly see Wachovia Bank as the victim. A graphic beneath the Sandlers says, "People who should be shot."
Monday NBC mysteriously yanked the skit's video from the network's website, fueling online rumors the show was caving to pressures from well-connected Democrats.
The video was later reposted and a spokesman explained "upon review we caught certain elements in the sketch that didn't meet our standards. We took it down and made some minor changes."
In an interview with Gold, the show's executive producer, Lorne Michaels, said the Sandlers were distraught but had not demanded the changes. He noted the "People who should be shot" line was deleted as was a reference to their "corrupt activities."
But a comparison of the two versions shows that actually a little more than that was cut. What also was excised was any mention of the involvement of Massachusetts' Rep. Frank in the Sandler subprime mess.
Frank is the influential chairman of the House Financial Services Committee and an ardent political protector of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which participated in the subprime problem.
In the original skit Sandler addresses Frank, saying, "And thank you Congressman Frank as well as many Republicans for helping block Congressional oversight of our corrupt activities."
To which Frank replies enthusiastically, "Not at all!" All that's gone in the new version, which Show Tracker has posted here.
For shame, NBC, for shame.

If SNL Did a Spoof on Democrats, Here's How It Might Look
Shhh. Oh, and enjoy it while it lasts.
The presidential campaign has been good for "Saturday Night Live" -- and for Hulu.com. In a few short weeks, the first clip of Tina Fey impersonating Gov. Sarah Palin has become the site's most-viewed of all time. But it appears NBC.com and Hulu.com may have run into some trouble with the latest SNL political send-up.
A clip poking fun at the bailout, and specifically, at former Golden West Financial Group co-chiefs Herb and Marion Sandler, has been taken down from NBC.com and Hulu.com sometime on Monday, leaving many speculating as to why. A good guess: The clip, a fake C-SPAN news report, identifies the Sandlers, who sold their Golden West Financial S&L to Wachovia in 2006 as "People who should be shot" in a graphic. The video is still available on YouTube, at least for now.

SNL VP Debate
The parody version of Joe Biden isn't quite as funny as the real thing, but still amusing. Have to give props to Queen Latifah for goofing on Gwen Ifill. Maybe now more people realize what a glaring conflict of interest she had.

Maybe God Has a Hand In This: Obama Cancels SNL Appearance in Wake of Hurricane Ike
Well, as it so happens, Gustav didn't destroy New Orleans and only temporarily delayed the GOP convention. Funny, too, that Barack Obama was then enjoying a small bounce from the DNC. But the show went on, and ever since then Obama has been plummeting in the polls.
Well, in a classic irony, now Obama feels the time isn't right to be going on Saturday Night Live and cracking funny as Hurricane Ike makes landfall in Texas.
Maybe God does have a hand in these things.
With a deadly hurricane aimed at Texas, Barack Obama cancelled his appearance on Saturday Night Live this evening, spokesman Jen Psaki in a statement.Obama finds it amusing to run ads busting on a wounded former POW for not using email, why not go on SNL and get some free pub, Barry? Hey, it's not like those hayseeds in Texas are going to be voting for you anyway, right?
"In the light of the unfolding crisis in Texas, Senator Obama has decided it is no longer appropriate to appear on Saturday Night Live tomorrow evening," she said.
Obama hits Manchester, New Hampshire Saturday morning for a rally with Rep. Carol Shea Porter (D-NH) and Gov. John Lynch.
Why all of a sudden is there a concern for possible hurricane victims? What are you going to do, schedule a flyover and pretend you care about the victims?
OK, in all seriousness folks, Ike is causing massive damage and millions are without power.
More here. Say a prayer for the folks in Texas and the Gulf area.
