Poor, poor Jane Fonda. She recently had an appearance on the QVC shopping channel cancelled [warning, that is a link to her site. Use your own judgement] because of people contacting the network and voicing their displeasure that such a despicable character would be allowed to use their show to sell some books. Well little Ms. Hanoi Jane of course blamed this on a vast right-wing conspiracy along with this little gem from her blog.
Bottom line, this has gone on far too long, this spreading of lies about me! None of it is true. NONE OF IT! I love my country. I have never done anything to hurt my country or the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for us. I do not understand what the far right stands to gain by continuing with these myths.Well, the record certainly is replete with examples of just the opposite.
Whenever stories about POWs getting tortured emerged, Fonda called them lies. When the POWs began coming home in 1973 and their accounts of torture began to gain credence, Fonda called the returning soldiers “liars, hypocrites, and pawns.” "Tortured men do not march smartly off planes, salute the flag, and kiss their wives," she said. "They are liars. I also want to say that these men are not heroes."Folks, I am not going into a long diatribe about her long record of treason, you merely have to do an Internet search to discover that what she calls myths we call the public record.
Kudos to the folks who contacted QVC and to QVC for giving a rain check on this traitor.
