Today's card is a great way to send Thanks to someone this winter.

I used the Top Dog Dies Polar Bear die set for this card.  The  die set has some really cute polar bears, a iceberg, some snowflakes and the scallop circle that I used in today's card.  I love that the scallop has the dot detail on the outer edge of the cut line as well as on the die cut itself.  Here is close up.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

It's time to start preparing for the holidays!  I am going to show you how to make this adorable window pillow box today.  Pillow boxes are a great way to package up your goodies and gift cards for the holiday season.

To start we are going to die cut the hat and scarf from the Top Dog Dies Snowman die set and then lay your pillow box flat.  Place your snowman die where you want your window and run it through your machine.

Next you are going to apply adhesive to your  acetate and then secure it to the inside of the pillow box over the place you cut your image out as shown.  All you have to do is adhere your scarf and hat and close up your box and you are all done,  Here is a closer look at all the detail you get with these dies!

Shaker cards are so fun and trendy right now and I LOVE to make them.  You can make them for every occasion and it is super fun for the recipient to have an interactive card.

Today's card is made using the latest release from Top Dog Dies and the super fun snowman die set.  This die has the stitching detail on the die cut and outside the cut line which is a great detail for making shaker cards.  I filled this shaker with some metallic stars, a little bit of fake snow glitter and sequins. I added just the hat and scarf but the die set has coal for eyes, carrot nose and branches for the arms that you could add if you wanted but I was going for simple.

I am so glad you stopped by today!  Until next time...

I have a holiday card to share with you today using the latest release from Top Dog Dies.

Isn't this cardinal just amazing?  I love all the detail.  The die set comes with 2 birds some holly and this great branch with berries.  I like adding little details to my projects I think they add a lot so I added some glossy accents to the berries on my branch and sprinkled it with distress glitter.  I love how it turned out.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.  Here is a closer look of the cardinal.

Do you love glitter?!  I do.  Today I have a tutorial showing you how I glitter my die cuts.

First grab some double sided adhesive sheets and adhere one side to a piece of thinner cardstock.

Next grab your die and die cut the snowman.

Peel off the top liner to reveal your adhesive.

Sprinkle your glitter over the adhesive and you have a super sparkly snowman! I like to really rub the glitter in good and burnish it with my fingers so none of the glitter falls off later.
Here's a closer look at the finished snowman.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Go make something sparkly:)

I have a spooky  card to share with you today...

This card features the Bats Die Set from TDD.  How fun is this card!?  I just love it. I used a photo overlay from Pebbles for the background which is perfect to show off those fun bats!  I also die cut the bigger bat 3 times so that I could layer the wings and give them more dimension.

That's all for today, thanks so much for stopping by!

Have you ever been Boo'd?  I have and I love to participate in spreading a little Halloween cheer.  I have a adorable card to share with you today that is perfect to include with your goodies that you leave with someone you choose to BOO.

I used three new die sets from Top Dog Dies for this fun card, the Ghost Die Set, Pocket Page Halloween Die Set and the Wicked Witch Die Set.

The poem was stamped and heat embossed on the spider pattern paper that was die cut using the Halloween pocket page die set.  Those cute ghosts were cut from vellum, I just love googley eyes and they are perfect on these cute ghosts!  Last but not least the spider is from the Wicked Witch die set.

Here is closer look...

Do you have any fun Halloween traditions or have you ever Boo'd anyone?  I would love to hear about them.

September 20

It is almost fall!!  Fall is my favorite season, it is the start of the holiday season and much cooler temperatures.  So have you thought about your Thanksgiving Table yet?  I have.
I know its a little early but I think you just have to plan a few things in advance, right?!  With work and three kids I try to get as many things done in advance as possible.

This adorable little name tag is going to be on every place setting at my holiday table.

I used the new Top Dog Dies Make a banner set and Fall Foliage set to create this name tag.   So let me teach you how.

Gather all of your supplies

I cut a piece of cardstock to 5 inches in length and scored it down the middle at 2 1/2.  Fold your cardstock and then we are going to die cut that banner.

Now the trick to making this a name tag is to place your die just above the fold line we created so you end up with one piece just like a card.

Next we are going to cut of the tabs on the end of each banner.

All you have to do now is decorate your name tag as you choose.  I used the banner layer cut with gold foil and the leaf from Fall Foliage and heat embossed my daughters name on vellum.

Here is a look from the side

Happy Tuesday!  I have a super sweet card to share with you today using the Unicorn Die set from Top Dog Dies.

I just love this unicorn die and what a better use for glitter than a magical unicorn, right?!  I cut the hair with adhesive sheets and glittered one side and adhered it with the other side.  The horn was cut from adhesive sheet also but instead of glitter I used gold foil.  The sentiment is also foiled.  Here is a closer look at the adorable unicorn.

I also added some shimmer using the wink of stella glitter pen.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Top Dog Dies Aug. 25

I have some fun dessert themed cards for you today!

First up is the card using the Make A Cake Die set.  I cut the cake base and then embossed it just to give it a little texture.  Those candles are so fun, I added some wink of stella glitter pen and glossy accents to the flames.

The next card uses the Cupcake Die set and the Borders #1 Die set.

I used the border die along both sides of the card panel.  The stamp is from an older PTI set and that saying just makes me smile.

Top Dog Dies necklace Tutorial

Hi!  I am going to show you how I made this sweet unicorn necklace today.

Gather all your supplies.  Your going to need some shrink film, unicorn die, hole punch and permanent markers.

Die cut your unicorn from the shrink film.  After you've cut the unicorn we are going to impress the details into the die cut.

To do this grab a rubber mat and place the die cut on the mat.  Tape the hair portion of the die to the die cut and run it thru your machine, the rubber mat will allow it to impress the image instead of cut it.  You should end up with something that looks like this.

Next we are going to color our unicorn with permanent markers and punch a hole for the string to be thread thru after it is shrunk.

You can bake the shrink film as directed on the packaging or you can use a heat tool like I did, just make sure you have a long piercing tool or something similar  to keep ahold of the little thing because it will want to move around like crazy.

Here is the finished necklace worn by my daughter.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Top Dog Dies Aug. 11

I have three kids ages 16, 14 and 11 but no babies.  I have a lot of friends that are having babies and it is so fun to make baby themed cards.  The new onesie dress dies are just adorable and make the cutest cards!!

I used the onesie die and cut just shy of the fold of the card base so that I had a onesie shaped card.  The cute buttons and ruffled skirt with pockets are from the new Onesie Dress die set.  The set comes with even more dies I did not use to customize your dress how you choose, it even has the most adorable little lady bug in it.  Here is a close up for you.

I added a little glossy accents to the buttons to give them the shiny button look.

Thanks for joining me today, I hope you were inspired to make some baby themed cards for the special people in your lives.
