Parents evening

Once again the dreaded, utterly scary, anxious parent evening, is upon us once again.  Its the one time, you know its not about you, its all about your child but somehow it feels as if the product of your existence is being measured and weighed and indirectly its a measure on your family genes.  With all that going through my mind, I try not worry and just roll with the punches.

As usual there is a bit of a wait, so I walk the corridors looking for my baby boys work.

Jaime Jardim: When I grow up I will drive a nascar.  It goes 7 miles per hour.  It was in the lead and it won the race.

My favorite animal is a Zebra

Jaime Jardim: I have a diamond.  I turned it into a kite

I made a lion with 6 squares, 2 trapezoid, 1 hexagon, 5 tan rhombus, and 3 blue rhombus.
In 15 minutes...all the worry and anxiousness is put to bed and exponential levels of pride rise.
In summary:  Jaime is reading like a champ, is incredible in math, is a social butterfly.  He is very confident, so much so that every now and again he needs to be spoken to.  However Mrs B believes that confidence is a huge asset for my little man, and the speaking to is pure social behavior lessons and not a destruction of confidence or a behavior issue.
He is writing some letters and numbers backwards, like the 's' and '5, 'all age appropriate, but we should still work on them.
He has plenty of friends and socially well balanced.
All in all he is extremely intelligent and we have absolutely nothing to worry about!
Proud Mommy over here!
