It's that time of year as the leaves start to turn color, hot cocoa warms the hands, and we get to venture over to our favorite pumpkin patch to pick the best "Bunkee" for carving.
Boston's speech is coming along. We drive past the pumpkin patch every day on the way to school and one day he said, "Look, Bunkees." So that is what we call pumpkins around here. We are always on search for pumpkins, our favorite car game is looking for them on the porches of houses in neighborhoods we are in. They are always hunting for bunkees no matter the time of day...
Here is our trip to the patch...
It was such a struggle to keep this kid focused on picking the perfect bunkee for him. He wanted to ride the tractor, and seemed to gravitate to this one the most. Grandpa in Chicago would be so proud he picked the John Deere.
Never a dull moment when you have two wanting to have their pictures taken doing the same thing at the same time, but wanting to do it themselves.
Rows and rows and rows of such great pumpkins. This year was so warm when we went so we were able to take our time and walk up and down the rows, scouring for the best shape to carve.
Here is the one Boston picked out. It was way too HEAVY for him to carry, so he rode next to it for a little while, it was short lived because they both discovered there was one "my own size."
So excited to find a pumpkint that would not only fit but also allow her to push.
Very into the "ghost" pumpkin...
Concentration is key to balance...
We didn't end up with this one, but he certainly had a ton of fun pushing it around.
Our annual picture. The shadows were horrible no matter what angle we tried, so this was the best one. The kids look super cute and were so happy to be at the patch, just ignore the HUGE pregnant woman with them. You know what they say about the camera...for pregnant women it adds more than 10 lbs! Only about 3 weeks to go!!!
Super cutie!
Just like sister, adorable little man!
Picking our Bunkees was such fun this year. We didn't leave with four. We had to get one for the baby, so "fie bunkees" are on our porch waiting to be carved.
