PaperTake Weekly this week had a sketch for their challenge so I used it as a base to a book I decided to make to store my small stamp sets in. I have recently been collecting the Papermania Botanical sets and this seemed like the best way to store them, I have a couple of A4 binders with stamps in too but thought I would keep these together, I added extra pages to allow for more sets! lolPaper for the covers are Papermania from the colossal pack that I got when I first started card making and scrapbooking, I'm gradually working my way thru it!lol cs is from my stash the bigger piece is embossed with a daisy pattern, the image which is coloured with copics and sakura stardust is a cuddlybuddly image that I received as part of a gift. I added the ribbon tie to hold everything in place making them more portable. TFL

Club Anya & Friends Monday Mania - Gwen Sketchipe
On Monday over at Club Anya & Friends the challenge was a sketch and stitching, inking, painting and embossing - choose 2. I went with embossing (my oval background) and then I dug out my sewing machine and now that I have sorted my craft room I can actually use my machine so this is the first time I have actually used proper sewing on a card instead of faux stitching. I stitched round each of the gingham paper pieces, I have used the gorgeous little Anya that my good friend Sammi sent me coloured with copics, the rikrak is also cut from the same cs as the mats and oval the flowers and gems are papermainia and the sentiment is a cuttlebug die. I enjoyed doing the stitching so I'm sure that will be happening on more of my cards not sure if this is just too much gingham!lol TFL
Spoon Full Of Sugar #96 Bookmark This
The challenge over at Spoon Full of Sugar this week is to make a bookmark. So this morning I thought I would make a bookmark to go with the card I made last night here to go with the card as a gift. Again all done digitally using the Summer Lovin' kit by Stacey's Scraps and the gorgeous Holly in the garden image from Charmed Cards and Crafts. I added some text to the green cs using another freebie brush from Cottage Arts and then I used a quote I found online which I felt went well with the image. After printing it I laminated it for durability. I really enjoyed making this so thanks for the challenge.

4 challenges in 1 card
Well this card has taken me a long time today but I have had fun putting it together. Dotties World challenge this week was Step Into Spring so I went for Holly in the garden from the Holly & Madison Collection available at Charmed Cards and Crafts and I have actually digitally paper pieced her with papers from a kit called Summer Lovin' because it uses the colours pink & green which along with flowers is the challenge over at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. Although it wasnt difficult to digi paper piece I did find it time consuming getting all my layers round the right way! I based the layout of my card on the sketch from Sketch and Stash #31 and my new stash is the digi kit which I bought recently with my winnings from Scrap That Idea, this kit is by Stacey of Stacey's Scraps and I love all the different elements that go with it and the addon of plain card that actually looks like bazzil! the only other addition I used to Stacey's kit is the flourishes top left and bottom right which are actually brushes that were part of a freebie set from Cottage Arts. The 4th challenge I am going for is the one over at Cute Card Thursday which is Dimensions (or lots of layers) well I have gone for the lots of layers as this card has 13 layers not including the image which is made up of 7 layers on its own!

3 challenges in 1card
Tonights card is for the Bling challenge over at Anya Ink, I have used dressy Joyce digi from TGF, coloured with copics and I have used sakura stardust in her hair, for her shoes, eyeshadow and little heart on the dress I have then used ultra fine glitter of 2 colours for the frills on her dress, my circle has glitter on it and doodling using the sakura stardust pen, I have used a sparkly brad and gem from the papermania Heather capsule collection so I think I got some bling on there somewhere! lol the card is based on this weeks sketch at Friday Sketchers - #95 and the challenge at Stamp Something was to do some doodling - this is never a strong point for me but I have used some around the edge of the scalloped circle. The sentiments and corner stars are from a small freebie set of Forever Friends which was on the front of the Creativity magazine. TFL

Friday Sketchers # 94
Only just made it this week for the challenge over at Friday Sketchers. Not overly happy with this card, tried a new pansy stamp from Papermania Botanical range, really like the stamp and coloured it with copics but dont seem to have got my blending quite right, definately need more practice! (oh and more copic! lol) the papers and vellum are all odds and ends from my scrap drawers, the brads and tiny buttons are from the Papermania Heather capsule collection and the silver paper is embossed using a BS texture plate. TFL and hope to get some crafting done over the next 3 days as no work! Yipeeeeeee!

1 card 3 challenges
Right I'm starting the week with a combined card. PaperTake Weekly requested Lilac & Lemon, I followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday and the theme over at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge was Spring has Sprung. Image was sent to me by Sammi and I have coloured her using copics and a splash of stardust, paper is from a scrapbook kit I got in the £1 shop a couple of years ago, cs is coredinations and I've punched the border using the xcut border system and some tonic studios punches then added 3 of the tiny butterfly punch outs on the corner of the image. I have also stamped and embossed with silver pearl powder some butterflies which are from the new Papermania Botanicals build a range (Havent done the big one yet!). TFL

Club Anya & Friends Monday Mania - Mags Inspiration
Ok last card for me for tonight, another one I had great fun doing! At Club Anya & Friends along with a picture for inspiration the other stipulation for the Monday Mania challenge was altered TGF stamps, well I thought long and hard about this one and while I was playing in PSE5 today with another card I started playing with the digi images from TGF too and the end result is my card which combines the body of Dressy Edward and the head of Ebony. I have made this into a congratulation type card for someone starting a new job and felt it was quite modern with the suit and then the colours which I took inspiration from the picture. Image is coloured with copics anda touch of stardust too, paper is Dovecraft Hint of Pink by Kate Knight, sentiment is a peeloff that was blue but I used my copic to colour it black and the ribbon flower I made and the beads in the middle are from Monsoon! (my neighbour buys up old stock some of which is damaged and fixes it up and then sells it on - I get all the beads and sequins etc!) Right time for me to call it a night and get my head in work mode as its back to work tomorrow afternoon :( less crafting time for me next week. TFL. xx
Dotties World - Add-Ons
This week over at Dotties World Gunn layed down the challenge of Add Ons -You have to use 3 flowers, 2 brads, 1button and finally 1 charm. And ofcourse you have to remember to use a Charmed download. So go ahead and have fun. I had great fun with this one and at the very last minute realised I had got my brads and buttons the wrong way round so I hope thats ok! I have used the Pixies 2 collection for the background (which I altered slightly) the toadstools, the image and the flower pot. I put it all together in PSE5 and then once it was printed added the flowers, buttons, brad and charm, I also added some bling in the form of glitter glue and Sakura stardust pens. Thanks for a great challenge and TFL. x
Anya Ink - A Sketch
The challenge at Anya Ink this week was a sketch, really like this one definately one to use again. My papers are a digi kit called Summer Berries from Staceys Scraps at Scrap That Idea (it was a kit I bought with my winning voucher!) My image is the gorgeous Audrey digi stamp from TGF coloured with copics. The scalloped band is cut with a sizzix extended cut and the sentiment is a stamp from the freebie set with Papercraft Inspirations. When Ria realised I was going to be using PINK she didnt think it was the best colour for Audrey as she is such a tomboy but I think it worked out just fine! Will have to see what she thinks when she gets back from her friends! TFL

Club Anya & Friends Saturday Sketch #10
This is my card for the sketch challenge over at Club Anya & Friends, the large b&w flower in the top left corner is actually cut from another piece of the paper and then added to the main piece (it doesnt really show in the pic), the paper is A Hint Of Pink by Kate Knight at Dovecraft. Image is a Dressy Miss Anya coloured with copics the flowery swirl is a sizzix extended cut and the little gems are from the £1 shop. TFL
Club Anya & Friends WCW - I see a hole
OMG! I cant believe I've just made a christmas card and its only March, mind you looking out the window right now you would be forgiven for thinking it was still the middle of winter! Cold, wet and windy! Anyway back to my card. I have made this for the WCW challenge over at Club Anya & Friends and the challenge was to have an aperture in your card, well while I was glancing thru my dies I saw my sizzix snowman and an idea formulated from there. The aperture has been filled with some acetate which is sandwiching some glamour dust for sparkle, the image is Miss Anya- Snow coloured with copics and some sakura stardust and glaze, papers are a christmas digi from Raspberry Road, the mittens and sentiment are sizzlits dies and the holly is an Ellison cut & emboss die. I'm actually quite pleased with how this turned out in the end. TFL

And finally
PaperTake Weekly - Sketch #36
Great sketch over at Papertake Weekly again this week. I have used MME bloom & grow papers, Wild Sprout Charlotte from TGF coloured with copics. The edge has been done using tonic studio edge punch and accent punch then I used one of the tiny punched out butterflies to make a build it brad (am really liking these can you tell?!LOL) also coloured the punched out areas with clear sakura stardust for an added bit of bling but it doesnt really show in the picture. Definately a sketch I will use again. TFL
Spoon Full of Sugar challenge #94 Recycled
For the recycling challenge over at Spoon Full Of Sugar I have used an old cd which no longer plays properly and I have coloured it using Meadow Green alcohol ink and blending solution I have then mounted a stamped imge of Dandelion fishing coloured with copics and a touch of sakura stardust. Paper is from my scraps and flowers and ribbon are all from my stash. The little green flowers were white and have been coloured with my copics. TFL

Sketch & Stash Challenge #30 & MTTC - Kidz Kardz
Combined 2 challenges tonight as running out of time! but its great to be crafting again and should hopefully have the bulk of the craft room sorted by tomorrow night! Anyway I followed the sketch from Sketch & Stash and my new stash is the Build a brad kit that I used with the football stamp and the image is new to me and was sent to me by a friend, I believe it is a Cuddly Buddly but not sure which one, coloured with copics, the papers are all from my scrap drawers. And the challenge at My Time To Craft is Kidz Kardz. TFL
Scrap That Idea - Scrap Your Hunk
I have been following the designers from Scrap That Idea for quite a while now and have an extensive library of their freebie kits and these group of 4 ladies certainly do produce some awesome kits and I use their papers quite a bit in my card making. Well they also have a blog and the latest challenge was set by Stacey of Staceys Scraps (link in my side bar) and she wanted us to Scrap Your Hunk but I do not want any LO's of your hubbys, your boyfriends or children...NOOOOOO you need to scrap the 'secret' love (celebrity) of your life! lol well after not being able to craft much recently I decided it was time for a digi lo and here it is. I used a freebie collab kit called Let It Rock which is by Vicki - A Work In Progress and Sara - Sweet Blossom Designs. Really enjoyed this challenge and hope to be taking part in more of their challenges too. TFL

Dotties World - Pastel or Bright?
Well the challenge over at Dotties World was to make a card either using bright colours or pastel colours or even make a card in both colourways using the same image. Well I had hoped to make 2 but with the craft room upside down for most of the week this proved rather difficult and when I sat down to craft tonight we had a power cut so I have had to wait for power to come back on! But I have managed to make 1 card using the cornflower fairy cameo and decided on pastels. The background paper is a digi but not sure where from as it was in my scraps drawer, the flowers and gems are all from my stash and the leaves are a punch. The sentiment is a new stamp which came free with this months issue of Papercraft Inspirations. Considering this is a quick card (about 1/2 an hour) I am pleased with the way it turned out. TFL

Club Anya & Friends - Saturday Sketch #9
Whoo hoo, I have managed to craft tonight and get a card done for the sketch over at Club Anya & Friends. I have used the new freebie image of Audrey who is just soooo cute. The papers are all from my scraps drawers so am not sure what they are or who they are by, sorry about that. While sorting thru my stuff this week tho I did find my slide mounts and in amoung all the grey ones was this lovely yellow one so I just had to use it, also found the mini scrabble tiles which were sent to me a long time ago and the little tortoises were another find but I have no idea when or where I got them!!! lol I love uncovering all these forgotten bits feels like I've got loads of new stash and havent had to spend out to get it!lol Audrey is of course coloured with copics (under my new lamp!) Well my craft room is certainly moving forward there are still some bits to sort thru and once the shelves are in place I will be able to put everything away properly but for the moment I have to keep moving baskets around the room (and the house)! Well thats me done for tonight, hope to do some more tomorrow. Night night and TFL. xx

Craft room update
Well today we had planned to get the shelves sorted but as is usually the case, it did not go according to plan! and that is where I will leave that subject until hopefully we achieve them on Sunday!lol So anyway am still sorting and throwing and re boxing various bits and pieces and deciding where they are all going to go. While I was doing this I thought I could put my nesties into one of the new drawers (yesterdays post) but I didnt really want them just floating around and suddenly had a brainwave (they really dont happen very often!lol so I make the most of them which is why I'm telling you!lol) years ago when I first started scrapping and card making I took part in circle journals - really enjoyed them and have about 5 lovely books full of others artistic works, anyway back to my story, well I had to have book rings to hold them together which were a problem to find so when I did find them I bought loads, silver & coloured and 3 different sizes - I never was one to do things by half! so after rooting about abit this evening I found them and now each set of nesties is kept together on its own book ring and they are safely sat in a new drawer and I'm feeling pleased with myself - how sad am I!!!!!!!!!lol Am really missing my crafting but there really is no room in here at the mo tho I might just have to sit downstairs and do a little digi scrapping instead to prevent any further withdrawl! well thats it for now, hopefully I will have more to show or tell tomorrow. Take care and thanks for stopping by. xx

Some New Storage
After spending half the day wandering round Yeovil, we ended up back at the first shop where we had looked at storage! lol So I got the drawer sets (3 in total) which will end up sat on the stairwell filled with all sorts, havent decided what yet and also got 6 of the red baskets (3 filled already!) which will go on the shelves the Adrian is going to put in the old wardrobe. I'm really trying to have a good sort out while I'm at it and have sorted out some old stamps mainly foam type that I bought right at the begining and I am going to take them in to be used at work but right now my craft room really does look like a bomb hit it so much so that I dont even have the room to craft tonight. Oh also bought a new table lamp with a halogen bulb so it will give good light for colouring with! Well I'm not doing anymore tonight going to have a bath and early night for a change and then hit into it big time tomorrow and then hopefully I will have time to craft tomorrow night too. Night all, take care and thanks for popping by. xx

Copic Colour Challenge & Sketch Saturday #93
Another combo card tonight this time its for the Copic Colour Challenge and I didnt actually have any of the colours they were looking for so I used my closest which were BG01 & 05, B95 and Y17. I followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday and the image is a stamp I won a while back by Dare 2 Stamp, the paper is Raspberry Road Cowgirl Cool Addon, I added some glamour dust to the cut out in the corner but it doesnt really show in the pic and the sentiment is some metallic confettii that I found whilst sorting out my craft room (which is a slow progress!) but I love finding things I had forgotten I had!lol TFL Sorry bout the wonky picture.
Friday Sketchers # 92 & SCSC #73 Shades fo Grey

Having a busy time
Well I'm on leave for 2 whole weeks and have started my leave with a stinking cold! Typical lol so I went to chemist and got some Actifed so hopefully that will do the trick it does seem to be helping a bit. Anyway I decided that I would use this leave to overhaul my craft room coz boy oh boy does it need it! Kept at it today but it looks worse than ever lol. Although I have managed to clear this cupboard and we are going to put a load of shelves in it to hold baskets which in turn will house various crafting bits and pieces. That may not look like a lot of stuff in that cupboard but believe me it was crammed and I have managed to get rid of so much stuff, just aswell the recycling is being collected tomorrow! Hopefully going shopping on Wednesday to pick up some storage baskets and other bits so when its all finished I will put some pics up but you really dont want to see what it is like at the moment but I did leave myself just enough space so that I can still do some crafting during the evenings! LOL
CCT - #102 Lucky Green
In honour of St Patricks Day Cute Card Thursday would like to see a card where the predominate colour is green. While I was thinking about this card I remembered that I had bought some Rock Hard Fairies quite a while back and I knew some of them were green and sure enough I found Jinx. The papers are also from the Rock Hard Fairies but I added some silver holographic card and the brad at the bottom of the card is made using the Papermania Build A Brad kit, which I have wanted for ages and finally bought about 2 weeks ago and this is the first time I've used it!lol Thought this would come in handy for one of Rias friends as they are all turning into teenagers this year! TFL
