A couple of weeks ago we went to the rodeo with our good friends, Matt and Haley. Thanks to Matt's job we got free tickets and parking. Woohoo! (Have we told you guys how much we love you?) Because of bad traffic and some misdirection from the parking attendants, it took almost an hour to find the right parking lot. But we were still able to see a lot of good stuff at the end of the rodeo. Here are some pics from the night.

And after the rodeo came Rascal Flatts! They're one of my favorite bands to listen to. Jacob even knows a few of their songs (thanks to me because he hates country music). It was so much fun, even though I could barely hear anymore when it was over. I spent most of the time taking pictures! :)
There was also a fair with carnival rides and a livestock show, but we didn't have time to see any of that. Hopefully we can go again next year and make the rodeo a yearly tradition!

confession: i'm not a fan of country music, but i had floor seats to a rascal flatts concert like a year ago and it was one of THE BEST concerts i've ever been to.
I'm glad we got to see Rascal Flatts since I knew almost all their songs. Too bad we didn't get there a bit sooner to see more rodeo events...stupid traffic.
I didn't know Jacob hates country music. What a good sport to come with us. When I moved to Texas, I swore that I would not convert to country, but I just couldn't stay away. There are so many great country songs!
So fun! We missed the rodeo this year, but we're hoping for next. And, I LOVE Rascal Flatts too!
ahhh...what fun!!! I don't think I have ever seen that big of a rodeo in my life...only in TEXAS!!! I love rodeos and you can't beat Rascal Flatts.
Yeah to the Rascal Flatts...Boo to the mean rodeo. I hate the part where they rope the small calves...it's just mean.
