One of a Kind

Well - some days ya have it…..and some days not so much.  Or maybe I'm just not sure about one layer cards.  That's what the Friday Mashup! is this week - a single layer card with a nautical theme.
I do like my school of fish though - I ended up making three masks to get the school together.

Hope you have some fun plans for the weekend.  We're babysitting this evening and I'm not sure if we'll finger paint or bake…..we'll see how things work out.

Thanks for stopping by!

The LIfe You Imagined

What a fabulous colour combination we have today at Sunday Stamps.  I don't use purple very often, and I certainly wouldn't go to Turquoise  as a combination - but I absolutely love this combo.  It can be worked into either a masculine or feminine card.  Today, I've opted for the masculine touch...I think.

The background was created with the coral form "By the Tide" and I stamped and fussy cut the shells.  Two of them have had the ink stamped off, but your can't really tell.  The greeting is from "Really Good Greetings".  They are all sort of whimsical - fun to use.
I used a bit of the new In Colour - Baked Brown Sugar stretch ruffle trim.

Hope you have fun creating with this combo!  Check out the inspiring projects by the rest of the Design Team at the Sunday Stamps  Blog -  And don't forget to leave a link so we can check in to see what you've designed.

Lobster Trap

When I first saw this By the Tide set in the Spring Catalogue I knew I wanted it so I had the lobster for scrapbooking our trips to the Maritimes.  It's taken me this long to get it though.....and I'm loving it.  What a great set for masculine cards and memories.

The colours I've used are Night of Navy, Pool Party and Cherry Cobbler.
I oh-so-carefully used one of the Oval Framelits to cut out part of the lobster so that his antennae stuck out....really, I just didn't want that big an oval on the page. I had seen demonstrators partially cut before - but hadn't tried it myself.  It is a bit nerve racking!

The Soda Pop top has been squished through the Big Shot before I  adhered the anchor image and the anchor image was stamped onto the Natural Cotton Ribbon in both Pool Party and Cherry Cobbler.
The sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches this week.

I hope your mid week was great and your raring to get to the weekend.
Thanks for stopping by to visit.
