Building a Castle

Hi There,

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. We here in the USA got an extra day off. We just took it easy here. Relaxed, that was the name of the game this holiday. Cooked some burgers on the grill yesterday and they were yummy.

Thanks for stopping by today.

My card today is using my new digi stamps by Make it Crafty. This was my first attempt at making a scene with digital stamps. Not bad if I do say so myself. It was really easy. The only thing I am not happy with on the card is the water. I think I over did it a bit. I used a rubber stamp from A Stamp in the Hand, the company that use to distribute Stampscape stamps

Over all I am pretty happy with it. It is colored using my Copics. The paper is from K and Company Citronella collection. I have to say I have really put this pad of paper to use since I got it. I loved the wave pattern of the paper.

The ribbon again is from the target $1 bin last year at the end of the summer season. Got it for 25 cents for 5 different ribbons in each package. Just couldn't beat it. LOL I thought this ribbon with the metallic going through it reminded you of when the sun is shining off the water.

My clouds are done with my good old "All Night Media" template from way back when.

I have some more cards to post this week. Until then, everyone have a wonderful day.

Outside the box.......for me

Happy Wednesday to All,

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I know there was a lot a severe weather across the US. I hope everyone is safe as well as their loved ones.

My card today is one that I have done for the Challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencils blog. The Challenge was distressing. I have to tell you this was really outside the box for me. I don't normally do distressing on my cards. Not sure why. I just don't think I do as well with it as other do.

I have colored this little guy using my Copic markers. For anyone who knows me, blues are not a color I use much. I was very happy with the way his shirt came out. I like this color blue.

The DP is from Basic Grey's Pyrus collection. It had a good bit of distressing on it already. I added some more.

I was looking for some ribbon the other day to make a bow for some flowers and came across this spool of ribbon that I have had for ages and thought oh how perfect Taylor's Chicken Farm. It already had a distressed feel (could be cause it is so old) but I added a little more with some distress ink.

Added some brads to the top right and lower left corners just because. The layout is a Splitcoast Stampers Sketch S332.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

It's all about the circles......

Happy Friday to you,

My card that I have done is with a Kenny K image. She is called Queens Cutie. She is so cute.

She is colored with my copic markers. I highlighted a little with some Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. The bench is a digi image from CC Designs.

Ok, lets talk circles. Do you think there are enough on this card?
It's a little hard to see but the pink DP paper has tiny white dots on it. The paper is by Imaginisce, the Enchanted collection. It is the strip running on the left side and one of the punched circles. The green part of the DP paper that is by Making Memories has been embossed with an embossing folder using my Cuttlebug. The little blue embellishments are really little round colored paper clips and I added a silver stud to the bottom of each. Last but not least the 3 circles that I used a punch to create.

She is popped up on some foam tape. A piece of ribbon is running along the left side as well. It took a number of tries getting these photos taken. After changing my lighting around I think I was able to finally capture the "Navy" blue cardstock. Boy was that a challenge. They kept coming out to be black.

Over all I was pretty pleased with how the card came out. Just a fun card to send to someone that you just want to say "Hi" to.

I am entering this into the Kenny K's Krafty Girlz challenge as well as the DT call. The challenged called for using Die Cuts or Punches. Nothing real fancy but it's all about the circles.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend.

Waiting For.......

Happy Monday Everyone,

We have a rainy week ahead of us so the weather report says.

My card today is for the SCACD Friends with Heart challenge. This challenge was to have something on your card that was paper pieced. Well let me just say this card was a challenge in more ways than one. I was determined to "save" it. The little girl and wall are pieced on top of the window due to a big boo boo. The "real" paper piecing is her dress, shoes and hair bows. Even the layout gave me grief. LOL

The image is and exclusive by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD. She is from the Peekers line called waiting for you.

This stamp could be used for a number of different cards from Missing You to Can't Wait to See You.

I colored her with copics. The papers are by Imaginisce. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I added a little stickles to the flowers.

Stop by SCACD Friends with Heart blog. Lot of fun things over there.

Proud New Mom

Happy Saturday,

I had a chance to make a few cards. This is for a very special person. She just became a Mom for the second time. She had another little girl. Her name is Charlotte.

The image is from The Paper Shelter. The "Baby" stamp is made by Studio G.
I have colored her with my Copic markers and the "Baby" stamp is embossed with cotton candy embossing powder.

The DP is Imaginisce Enchanted. I am really get a lot of use out of that paper stack.

I have added a ribbon from my collection and a little bling under "Baby".

This is a really cute image and was fun to color.

I am entering this card in the following challenges.

The Outlawz Monday challenge The card needed to be Mother's Day or Girl card. What better of a card then one for a new mom.
The Paper Shelter Challenge #12 Bling it up. The pink rhinestones and the ribbon added my bling for this card.

Daydreaming Peeker

Happy Saturday,

My card today is for the challenge over at SCACD Friends with Heart blog.
This little cutie is part of Elisabeth Bell's Peekers line that is available at SCACD.

How many little girls dreamed of being a ballerina? From the time I was 8 till I was almost 14 I took ballet and tap. I am not sure I dreamed of being a professional ballerina. Needless to say that was a very long time ago. I still have a couple of my costumes for keepsakes. If I pulled them out they may fall apart. LOL.

Ok back to the card. I stamped her on Cryogen White paper. She has been colored with my copics.

The DP is the Enchanted collection by Imaginisce. I have added stardust stickles to her tutu and shoes. Also the copic spica pen to the jewelery box.

The roses are by Wilde Orchid Crafts.

Added some pearls and a ribbon with the bow made with my Bow-Easy.

There is something about these little peekers stamps. They are fun to color.

Thanks for stopping by and having a look.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter Everyone,

I want to share my card that I sent out to family and friends for Easter.

This is a digital image from Angel's Landing. Their images are stunning. They are so detailed and they even have suggestion sheets on how to color.

I have colored the bunny with my copics. Two Martha Stewart punches were used along with some satin ribbon. I also made a stick pin out of some old jewelry making supplies that I had for years. The Happy Easter stamp is a Studio G stamp that I have embossed.

I have added Liquid Pearls to the center of the flowers. The background paper is an old package of computer paper that you use to be able to buy for newsletters and things but I love it. I had two packages of this stuff and finally used one package and have opened the second pack.

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and spend it just how they want to.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look.

Kenny K Download Diva

Hi there,

My card today is another Kenny K image. I love these. They are so fun to color.

I tried to give this "Download Diva" a little softer image. LOL I even made her Mp3 player a pastel color.

I have colored her with my copic markers. The papers that I used are bazzill in creams and pinks. The DP is Imaginisce Garden Party and the DP that Download Diva is on is from Making Memories League collection. I think it is an other collection. I received as a gift with purchase.

The larger flower is Recollections Boutique Fleur, I added one of my hot glue gun embellishment flowers to the center. Click here for my tutorial on these. The "Hello" is a Studio G stamp embossed with Zing white embossing powder.

I am entering this card into two challenges this week.

This is my first for The Outlawz and it is the The Lurkers challenge.
Also entering this into the Kenny K's Krafty Girlz challenge Anything Goes.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look.

Hey Birdy Peeker

Hi There,

Hope everyone has had a nice day today. At least one thing it is almost Friday.

My card today is called Hey Birdy. This is an exclusive stamp that is done by artist Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.

This is my entry for their challenge blog Friends with Heart. Their challenge was to use an image that they sell in their store and incorporate a least one heart into the card. The DSP though hard to see has hearts in it. I also added heart brads at the bottom of the card.

I have colored the image with my copic markers. I added a little light colored sky with my shimmer chalks. The DSP is by Prima.

This is such a cute image and was really fun to color. Of course I had to add a little ribbon too.

I purchased the set of 5 stamps but you can buy them individually as well.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

My First Kenny K Image

Happy Wednesday,

As the title says this is my first Kenny K image. I think I am hooked. I loved coloring this. There is just something about them. I wasn't sure I could really do this image justice.

Not much to this card. I colored her with copic markers. The Hello stamp is a Studio G stamp. The DSP is Basic Grey Pyrus. I just added a piece of ribbon to give her a place to "sit".

The photos don't show this off as well as it looks in person. I will be getting more of these images in the future. This was fun to color.

Thanks for stopping by.

How does your garden grow?

Hi Everyone,

Well it has been a day to create. It's rainy and windy. So I came up with this card for Mo's Digital Pencil Too challenge this week. The theme was How does your garden grow. This image is called End of Summer

I have colored her with copics. I added a little blue chalk for the sky it is hard to see in the picture but in person it is very pretty. The chalk has a shimmer to it.
For little butterfly I have added black stickles to it's body and clear stickles to the swirls.

Thanks for stopping by to have a look.

Marci

Greetings All,

Well it did not get to the 87 degrees today. They changed the weather report to be only 76, well it went to 81 degrees. They were off altogether. It is very humid so it is uncomfortable. I just want a nice spring.

This card was a quick one a put together because I wanted to try my new La La Land craft stamp that I got. I purchased her through All that Scraps. They were having a clearance sale and they had two of the Marci stamps on sale for $5.50 each. Couldn't pass it up.

I colored her with Copics and paper pieced her dress.

I am really happy with the how the hair came out. I added a little Stickles to her shoes.

Have a good night everyone.

Bee and Butterfly

Hi There,

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend. We took care of some yard work today. Boy those weeds really can grow in the winter. It is amazing the older you get the less work you get done before you are pooped out. LOL

Tomorrow the weather report is calling for a high of 87 degrees. A record high they say... No kidding this is April in Delaware. The norm is low 60's.

Ok, this was a quick card I did using a card fold I saw at the convention. I don't think it was anything new I just had not seen it up close before so I wanted to give it a try.

The image is by Karen Doodles. Mae from the CMC group had used this on her card and I asked her where she got it from and she said it was Karen Doodles and it was a freebie that they offered. The funny thing is I forgot I had this. So I went to my digi file and sure enough there it was. LOL

I have colored with copics and added some stickles to the butterfly and the bees wings. I used my nesties. The pearls are viva decor liquid pearls.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
