Give me all your candy!

TGIF Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a cute little tea bag holder that I made awhile back. The stamped I used is a Stampendous, I think, and is one I got when I was in Kansas City earlier this month. We used this stamp in the copics class and I loved it so I had to get it. I colored several of these just for practice. It is fun but I am not sure I will ever get the hang of these markers!!!

I used the tutorial HERE, for my tea bag Holder.

Inside shot:

The paper I used is from a retired DS pack. I used some wide pumpkin pie striped ribbon to go around and tie a bow to hold it close.

I am entering this in the Create with Connie and Mary themed challenge this week, any thing Halloween!

Well, that is all from me, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Gift Tag/Test Tube Gable Box

Good Friday Morning Peeps!! I have a fun little project to share with you today. I found the tutorial for this on Becky Robert's blog HERE! I had just gotten in on a bulk buy of some of these fun little test tubes, I actually got two sizes, this box holds the smaller ones they are around 4 inches tall.

Anyway I just loved this project of Becky's but I changed mine up to be for a Christmas. I used the cute set from SU called "Jolly Old Saint Nick". I used the DS paper from the Holiday Mini, Candy Cane Speciality Paper pack. I used the Santa to make my tags and to decorate the front.

Here is the contents of the box:

I made 5 3-1/4 by 2-1/2 inch gift tags, this image colors up really fast I used my real red marker for the hat and I used my aqua painter to color the face and to add the cheeks and mouth and a bit of "rosy" to the nose. I used a bit of gray to add some shadowing around the beard and hat, you could also add some liquid applique and some glitter to step it up a bit. I used the ornament punch and the oval and scallop oval for the outside tag and tied it up with some blushing bride ribbon.

Here is a pic of the inside before pouting together so you could see the test tubes:

I had a blast making up this box, you should definitely give it a try!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!

Halloween Punched Art Blog Hop

Good Wednesday Morning Peeps, and welcome to the Halloween Punched Art Blog Hop!!!

I am very excited to share my "Punchy Alien Robot" with you. When I first started thinking about joining the blog hop, I wondered about what to make and I started looking through the SU catalog for some inspiration and came across the "Greetings Earthlings" stamp set and thought I could make a robot from punches. So I went to work and came up with this cute little fellow. After I got him made I decided that I wanted to add him to a test tube candy holder. I used a pattern from Lisa Sommerville.

For the robot you will need the following punches:

Body & Head: Key Tag, (retired, you could sub an oval) trim off top for the body and for the head cut in half and use the corner rounder punch to round out the cut corners.
Neck, Legs and Arms: Word Window Punch, trimmed
Claws: small star punch
Eyes: 1/2 inch circle, owl punch
Body Gears: slot punch and 1/4 inch punch
Mouth is an end of the word window
The feet are just small rectangles and the antenna is a very thin strip and another end of the word window, all old olive is sponged with old olive ink.

My next project is a Halloween Easel Card:

The Jack-O-Lantern, the Ghost and the Bat are all made with punches, these are not my original idea, they are very widely done around blogland. They are just toooo cute tho, so I had to try them out. The pumpkin is made from the 1 3/8 inch circle punch and the ghost and bat is made with the owl punch. The bat wings are made with the large oval and 3/4 inch circle punch.

OK let's check out what the rest of the participants have made:
