FMS......Birthday Wishes

Happy Thursday Peeps!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the sketch this week at The Freshly Made Sketches Blog.

Sweet Sketch!
I decided to pull out a much neglected set Stampin Up's Regarding Dahlia.
I stamped the image three times  onto some Pink Pirouette card stock using black stazon ink.
I then colored with my water brush and pink pirouette and strawberry slush ink. I cut the image out and layered it up. I then used my Wink of Stella pen to add some shimmer to the petals. I seriously love that pen the shimmer is amazing IRL, I could not capture it that well with my pics.

The base of the card is PTI white card stock and then a layer of Pink Pirouette and then more white. The DSP strip on here is from retired pack and then I used more Pink Pirouette to make the sentiment banner.
The sentiment is from the Four You stamp set and is stamped with Strawberry Slush ink.
The dots across the bottom come from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set and I stamped with Pink Pirouette ink.

I added a small sequin star that is from the In Color Sequin Assortment.

Sweet Sunday......Hello, you

Happy Sunday Peeps!!

It is Sweet Sunday Sketch Day

Here is the sweet sketch Karen has for us this week:

I LOVE this sketch and had such fun putting this card together. It did not come out like I had imagined when I sit down to make it, I was going to use another stamp for the flowers but ended up going with these and I really like them.
I actually used several sets on this card, which I don't tend to do much I generally use only one or two per card but on this one I used four.
I started out with a base of Perfect Plum card stock and then a layer of PTI white and the DSP is some from an old Subtles paper pack.

I used a paper doily for my circle element and added a layer of plum cut with my scallop nesties and then a circle of white for the sentiment. The sentiment is from the Regarding Dahlias stamp set and I stamped with black. The flowers are from the Flower Shop and Petite Petals stamp sets. I stamped with Perfect plum and cut them out and layered them around the circle using some dimesionals. The leaves are from the Gifts of Kindness stamp set and are stamped with Pear Pizzazz ink and cut out and tucked around the flowers.
The flags are more white that I embossed with the Woodgrain EF. I added some rhinestones to the flower centers to finish it off.

Now let's see what the rest of the girls did with this fun little sketch:

Color Challenge.......Hello, You

Happy Wednesday Peeps!!

Today I am sharing a card i made using the color challenge this week on SplitcoastStampers.

Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie, and Primrose Petals. Such a pretty color combo. I pulled out my single Stampin Up stamp called "People Like You". I love to color this fun flower stamp.
I used my aqua brush and Pumpkin pie and Primrose petals to color the flowers.
I also used a bit of crushed curry in the middle of the flowers and some pear pizzazz on the stems.

I used some rustic cream card stock for my base and also for the image. I stamped with black stazon to water color.
I decided to use a different sentiment than the one on the stamp so I pulled out my "Regarding Dahlias" stamp set for this sentiment. I then used the Decorative Label Punch to punch out the sentiment and then two other punches with Pumpkin Pie card stock and matted the back. I then used some dimensionals to add the sentiment.
The main image is matted with Basic Gray and Pumpkin Pie card stock. I then mounted this piece with some dimensionals to the base at an angle. I finished it up with a few sticky back gold pearls in the corner and under the sentiment.
I wanted to keep it fairly simple for easy mailing.

Dynamic Duos......Hello You

Hello Peeps!!!

I am sharing a card today that I made using the color challenge this week on the Dynamic Duos Blog.

Love this soft pallet.
I wasn't sure when I sit down to make something what I wanted to do, so I pulled out a favorite set, Stampin Up's Secret Garden, one of my go to sets.
I stamped the flower onto some rustic card stock with Versamark and embossed with some white embossing powder. I colored the flowers with my aqua painter and So Saffron ink pad. I cut them out with the matching die.

The sentiment is from the Regarding Dahlias stamp set.
The DSP is from the I Am Me paper pack and I used one of the Delicate Designs EF with Pistachio Pudding card stock down one side. I added some retired Very Vanilla satin ribbon and tied a bow.
After getting this all together I thought it needed something, so I took a paper doily and cutout the edge and slipped it under my sentiment circle piece and viola it was just what it needed.
Thanks for taking a peek!

Dynamic Duos....Birthday Wishes

Happy Sunday Peeps!!!

I took some time  out of my Sunday afternoon to make a card! Yea me!!!

I took a look at the challenge this week on the Dynamic Duos Blog and decided to try my hand with the the colors:

I love this new Stampin Up set called "Regarding Dahlias", so I pulled it out for this card.

I stamped the flower onto pear pizzazz card stock with Versmark and embossed using wome white embossing powder. I then used a couple of Copic Markers to color it. I really like how it turned out, altho I am not sure dahlias come in green.

The base of the card is Garden Green card stock and then a layer of white and then another piece of Pear Pizzaz. I embossed the "X's" across the bottom of the Pear Pizzazz with one of Needlepoint Border EF and added the Sentiment, which comes from the Four You stamp set.

I cut out the colored flower and added some dimensionals to the back before adding it to the base.
Clean and Simple!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
