Thank You....for challenges

Good Monday Morning Peeps!

Today's card share is one I made with a few challenges in mind. I love sketch challenges and I used the Fall to Layout 105 on the Clean & Simple Blog for this card.

I also used the Curtain Call Color Challenge for the colors.

And I am also including the Anything Goes Challenge on the Paper Players Blog

My card is started with a base of crumb cake card stock and I followed that with a piece of Concord Crush, BTW I LOVE that color, and then I followed that up with my whisper white. I stamped the flower stem from the "For All You Do" stamp set with Pear Pizzazz ink. I then stamped on a scrap piece of white the flowers in concord and pear and cut them out and mounted them to the white with some foam tape. I wish I could pick my flower up and move it to the right just a bit because it seems just slightly off center, but I really didn't want to re-do so I shouldn't have even mentioned it but didn't want those of you who noticed this to think I was un-aware...LOL!!!

I stamped the butterfly with pear pizzazz ink and cut out and added to the card with some more foam tape. I stamped the sentiment with concord crush ink onto the pear pizzazz card stock and punched it out with my word window punch. I added some silver pearls to the butterfly center, the flower centers and the sentiment. I used some more concord crush and a MS edge punch for the side piece and finished it off with some white satin ribbon.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

SSSC83.......Thankful Thoughts

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

This week we're going to start a series of sketches drawn by Nancy McKinney,(you know, THE Nancy McKinney - TE illustrator extraordinaire), and she will be playing along with us too!! Here is the first one:

I started my card with a base of always artichoke and I followed that with some very vanilla card stock. I then used some of the fun wood sheets that I sponged with some chocolate chip ink. The scallop is made with my nesties in always artichoke and the middle with very vanilla. I stamped the sentiment from the Grateful Greetings set with artichoke ink. I cut three leaves from the leaves #2 die, one in tangerine, more mustard and artichoke. I used the square lattice embossing folder on them and sponged them with the same color ink. I used buttons for the strip across the card, I attached them with a needle and some ecru crochet thread. I used a button on the more mustard leaf as well. I added antique brads in each corner.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

OK, let's see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketch Team has in store for us this week:

Happy Halloween

TGIF Peeps!!!

I have a fun little Halloween card to share with you today! This is a non challenge card, just one i made for fun! You know I love Halloween and I was playing around with some pumpkin face stamps I got from Peachy Keen. I had saw this face stamps on Kim Score's blog Paper Punch Addiction. I had to have them!!!

I made my background by starting with a so saffron piece of card stock. I sponges with pumpkin pie, tangerine and dusty durango for the sky, I used old olive on the bottom. I made the rickety fence with strips of chocolate chip card stock and then added some brads at the intersection of the fence pieces. The pumpkins are made from 1-3/8 inch and 3/4 inch circle punches. The spider comes from the retired, but much loved Autumn Apparitions stamp set, I seriously love this set and will never part with it!!! The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

FTL104.....Miss You Already

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!

Today's card share is made with the Fall to Layout #104 on the Clean & Simple Blog.

I am not sure I worked it all out to match the sketch but I was determined to use this beautiful black eye Susan from the SU "Inspired from Nature" stamp set. I stamped the flowers with some chalk ink onto my white card stock. I layered that onto some Early Espresso card stock. I used my MS daisy chain punch and some summer sun 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon. The sentiment comes from the retired "Really Retro" stamp set and is stamped with Early Espresso ink. I used my stamp a ma jig and it is still a bit crooked, the ribbon had already been added so it was hard to hold the stamp a ma jig handle in place. To finish I added another strip of early espresso that I had embossed with an EF.

I do love this flower image! What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Curtain Call....Absolutely Fabulous

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!!! Hope your week has started out well!!

Today's card share is made with this week's color challenge on Stacey's Stamping Stage

This weeks colors are Tempting Turquoise, daffodil delight, poppy parade and whisper white. I don't know who was the first to make these cute little purses from the tab punch, they have been around awhile. I had never made them before but when I saw the color challenge I thought it would be good time to try. I used some DS paper from the Greenhouse Gala pack, the daffodil delight, some DS paper from the Island Oasis pack, the tempting turquoise and I don't have any DS paper in Poppy Parade so I used some card stock and used the square lattice EF. The handles are made with the oval punches and the front flap is made with the small oval punch. I added some sticky pearls to the front. The sentiment is from the retired "Absolutely Fabulous" stamp set. I added some piercing along the bottom and matted with Poppy parade. I punched a border with daffodil delight and added that to the bottom.

The back is embossed with my polka dot EF. I used more DS paper in tempting turquoise in the middle.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Halloween Bag

Good Monday Morning Peeps!! How was your weekend? Ours was good, good but still HOT!! I am ready for some cooler weather how about you?

Today I have a fun little box/bag to share with you. I made this bag along with my BFF Angie Kennedy Juda, she did a live Ustream broadcast on Saturday at noon, I missed the live broadcast but you can replay the video, there is a link to it on her blog. I really don't know her, so she is just my pretend BFF, but I know if I knew her she would really be my BFF!!!! LOL!!!

The bag is so much fun, you do NO cutting on this baby!!! just scoring and folding!! You don't even have to use any adhesive if you don't want, I did, of course because I am just anal that way!! I changed my up just a bit from hers, I used pumpkin pie card stock and the DS paper is from a retired Halloween pack. The little witch on the front is from the Greeting Card Kids stamp set. She is stamped with black stazon ink onto shimmer white card stock. I colored with my aqua painter and ink pads. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. I had originally stamped the greeting directly under the little witch on the shimmer card stock, but messed it up so decided to cover it up by stamping onto a separate piece and using my word window and modern label punches. The main image is matted with basic black and added to the bag with some foam tape.

I used the oval punch to add a "handle" to my bag. Now if you do this be sure to punch this before glue together, because you need to punch through three layers of card stock and you know that isn't possible, ask me how I know!!! LOL!!! I already really knew that but I had to try right? I added some black striped ribbon to the top!! So stinkin' cute huh?

Pic from the back:

You can purchase all the supplies to make this box, minus the retired paper, from me, just shoot me an e-mail or if you would like to purchase a kit, with everything to make one or more, let me know!

Thanks for stopping by today and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

SSSC82.......Happy Birthday

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

Here is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

Again this week I have kept my sample Clean & Simple. The base of the card is real red and the DS paper is from the fun new Play Date paper pack. The cupcake is made with the Big Bold Cupcakes Sizzlits die. I cut two of each part one with card stock and one with the DS paper and then glued together, to give the cupcake more weight and then I sanded the edges a bit with my sanding block.

the sentiment comes from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set and is stamped with black stazon. I added a bunch of bling to the cupcake and to the card base.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

CCMC112....Thinking of You

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!!!

Today's card share is made with this week's challenge on Create with Connie & Mary this week it is color challenge. The colors are Pacific Point, Bashful Blue, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi and Basic Black. Of course you can also throw Whisper White in there!

I have to say this card is a big variance from my norm, I was striving for something different, something funky and cool, not sure I achieved that but it is alright huh?

The stamp set I used is the For All You Do set and the sentiment comes from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set. I used some retired Pacific Point DS paper from the Good Morning Sunshine pack. I cut some squares and layered them on the side randomly. I used my sewing machine and added some black zig-zag lines. I then used some black grosgrain ribbon and "scrunched" it between the sewing lines. The sentiment was made with the word window punch and the modern label punch and is mounted to the card with some foam tape. I added a black photo corner with some small half pearls. The pearls are also on the flower and the sentiment piece.

Well, what do you think? Leave me a comment and let me know. I will be back in the AM with another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge Card.

Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

MTSC87.....Thankful Thoughts of You

TGIF Peeps!

Today's card share is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge.

You know one of the nice things about some of the old in colors returning as new core colors, as is River Rock, is that I still have a stash of DS paper that matches it! This DS paper is from an old retired pack called, Apple Cider, I think.

The base of the card is a 5 inch square of river rock. The next layer is another piece of river rock that I used my new EF folder on, it is a larger folder so it accommodates larger pieces of paper. This one is called Polka Dots. I used Dusty Durango to mat the DS paper and I used cajun craze to sponge the edges and to stamp the leaves. Nice how all these rusty shades blend together so well. The leaves come from the Autumn Splendor stamp set and the sentiment is from the "Grateful Greetings" Stamp set. I added a button and some river rock ribbon, both retired.

Well, that is all from me today, I thank you so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Frankie Tube Treat Holder

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!!

Today I am back with another treat holder made with the awesome little tutorial found here on Kim's blog Paper Punch Addiction.

This is actually the first one I made and I wasn't really pleased with it, but the more I look at it the more it grows on me. He is kinda funny looking, but Frankie IS kinda funny looking anyway. I used kiwi kiss card stock for main part of Frankie and his hair is made from some lovely lilac card stock. I just hand cut his hair. I used some circle punches to build the eyes, 3/4 and 1 inch circles. I used the My Way Punch for the arrows at his neck and I hand drew in his mouth and scar. The nose was created with the word window punch.

Well, that is it from me today, Thanks for coming by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

FTL103.....Get Well Soon

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!! Finally we are having some cooler temps her in southwest Missouri, much needed!

Today's card share is made with the Fall to Layout #103 on the Clean & Simple Blog.

I started my card with a base of rich Razzleberry. I stamped the image from the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set ont a piece of Crumb Cake with rich razzlebery and old olive ink. The sentiment from the same set is stamped with rich razzlebery ink as well. I really like the color combo and the look of the razzleberry on the crumb cake. I matted the main image with rich razzleberry and crumb cake. I added an old olive bow and ribbon and a small butterfly cut from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit. I then added some small silver pearls to the flower centers and the butterfly. I am really enjoying the clean and simple cards recently.

Well, that is all from me today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Curtain Call.....My dear Friend

Good Monday Morning peeps!!

My card share today is made with Curtain Call Color Challenge Act 43.

This weeks colors are pacific point, kiwi kiss, tangerine tango and whisper white. I was a little afraid of these colors when I first started but I do like the end result. I had such a hard time getting a good photo of this card, I tried last night and again this morning and couldn't get it. the tangerine looked red the blue didn't look true to pacific, I worked and worked and finally got an acceptable pic, but still not quite true colors. I think the card is much cuter IRL.

The base of my card is Pacific Point and my side panel is made up of tangerine and a strip of kiwi DS paper from the Bella Rose pack. I used the spiral edge punch on the edge, I know I have been obsessing with this punch lately!!!! LOL!! I added some tangerine ribbon and a pretty bow. the sentiment panel is a die cut piece from the retired "Write Stuff" pack. I trimmed it a bit to fit my card. I stamped the sentiment from the "All Holiday" stamp set with pacific ink onto the paper. The paper has a rough texture and doesn't take the ink real well. Across the bottom of the panel I added three little flowers made with tangerine and the three flower punch. I used two flowers stacked to make the flowers. I added white mini brads and punched another flower with kiwi and cut it apart to make the leaves. The sentiment panel is added to the card at an angle with some dimensionals.

Well, that is all from me today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

Here is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

This is my CAS Sweet Sunday card. I love the new core color of Cajun Craze and paired with Crumb Cake it gives this card a fall masculine feel, don'tcha think?

I used another fave, the level 2 hostess set called Apple Blossom. I stamped the tall leaves with Cajun craze and early espresso. The brads used on the side are some I had in my stash. I used the spiral edge punch along the top and added the strip down the side in Cajun craze that was embossed with the square lattice EF. I stamped the sentiment with Cajun craze ink, it comes from the "Kind Thanks" stamp set.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

Halloween Treat Tube

Good Saturday Morning Peeps!!

The Halloween bug has bitten me big time, I am dreaming of fall, writing odes to fall, and making fall/Halloween cards and projects. I made this fun little treat tube following the pattern here on Kim Score's Blog, Paper Punch Addiction. Love her blog and she is a wizard with all things punched!!

I made my tube out of pumpkin pie card stock and some retired DS Halloween paper. on the bottom and top I used basic black. The bottom I used my MS fence punch and the scallop punch on the top, of course the top and bottom base is made first with the large flower punch.

I used my large oval punch for the pumpkin and the face is a stamp set I got from Peachy Keen stamps, another discovey from Kim's blog. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes and I stamped with black stazon onto pumpkin pie card stock and used the small oval punch to cut out. I added some old olive grosgrain ribbon and tucked the sentiment under the bow. I can see many more of these in my future, they are the perfect size for a little Halloween treat!

Here is a pic of the side:

Well, that is all from me today, tomorrow is Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge time so be sure to swing back by then. Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Buzzing By......

TGIF Peeps! Hope your week has gone well, I am hoping for some cooler temps, fingers crossed.

Toady I am sharing a fun little bee hive box, I saw the pattern here. I made mine a bit smaller than the original and of course changed the stamp sets to SU. I used the Just Buzzin BY set, perfect for a bee hive box, wouldn't you say?

I used crushed curry card stock for my box and sponged the edges heavily with crushed curry and chocolate chip classic inks. The handle is a strip of chocolate chip card stock and is held in place with brads. My beehive image from the stamp set was stamped onto watercolor paper and then colored and cut out, as was the three bees. I made my main image panel into a tag using very vanilla and chocolate chip. I added some summer sun ribbon at the top. The bees wings are cover with some star dust stickles. I used my MS drippy goo punch at the bottom of the tag. The sentiment was stamped with black stazon onto very vanilla and cut apart and attached to the box. I used dimensionals on the hive and the bees and on the tag.

MTSC86.....Wish Big

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!!!

Today's card share is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. I was playing around a bit with my copics coloring these fun little flowers in different colors. I like them, might not be traditional colors for a daisy, but still cute.

I thought the front one matched the new in color, poppy parade, fairly well, so I picked that color for card base. Since I haven't gotten much new DS paper yet, I needed this one to not have any, sigh!!!!! I used some basic black for matting. I stamped the flower onto some PTI white and colored with the copics. The sentiment is from the Short & Sweet Stamp set. I added some felt rick-rack ribbon from my stash and a couple of white brads.

Well, that is all for me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!!

Hello fall Basket Card

Hello Peeps!! This is my second post today!! I know!!!

I am super excited to share this basket card with you. Do you remember my Americana Bluebirds card? See it HERE! Right after making it, I had the idea for this card, a similar card with a pumpkin and blackbirds for the fall. I finally finished it up and wanted to share with you all!!

I made my base to look like a basket by weaving chocolate chip strips of card stock and attaching to the Shara sand base. I added some brads across the top and a handle to mimic the basket feel I was going for. This card could not go into an envelope or be mailed but would instead have to be hand delivered or attached to a fall gift basket.

I made the pumpkin by using my coluzzle. I cut three ovals out of pumpkin pie card stock and sponged the edges with pumpkin and tangerine tango ink. The birds are punches, the 1-3/8 inch circle, the photo corner, the wing from the two step bird punch, small circle punches for the eyes. The black birds are sponged on the edges with whisper white craft ink. The top of the pumpkin is a hand cut piece of old olive and is sponged with old olive ink. I made the curly pieces with slivers of old olive card stock that I wrapped around the end of my piercing tool. I cut the letters with my naturally serif sizzix alphabet strip.

Well, I hope you like it and if you have any questions. please shot me an e-mail. Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Curtain Call...Birthday Wishes

Happy Hump Day Peeps!!! The weather has been incredibly, unbearably HOT here, can't do anything but hibernate in the air conditioned house!!

Today's card share is made with the Curtain Call Color Challenge Act 24. This week's colors are Early Espresso, very vanilla, pear pizzazz and Peach Parfait.

My card was inspired by this card, I loved how she had done the flowers and little leaves. I used the floral fusion and the little leaves sizziz dies. The base of the card is the early espresso and I followed that with very vanilla and the DS paper is from the Greenhouse Gala DS paper pack. The three strips are made with the peach parfait and I used the square lattice embossing folder on them. I added some very vanilla satin ribbon and the sentiment is from the Watercolor Trio stamp set. I stamped with Early Espresso ink, it is a bit hard to see in the photo but IRL it shows a bit better.

Well, that is all from me today, Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

TESC123.....Merry Christmas

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps! Hope your week is going well so far!

Today's card share is made with this weeks sketch on Taylored Expressions Blog.

I wanted to use this little Vintage looking Christmas girl out of the "Greeting Card Kids" stamp set. I love how this card turned out, so sorry as I usually don't say that but I think she is sooooo cute. I stamped her onto watercolor paper and colored with my aqua painter and I used, real red, pink pirouette, old olive, early espresso and blush blossom. I added some stardust stickles to the ground and the fur on the little girls coat and hat. I used some Xmas red stickles on the tree and a touch of icicle stickles on the star. I used my rectangle and scallop rectangle nesties to cut out the image and the mat. I keep the nestie in place on the main image panel and sponged around the edges, I grabbed a sponge that I thought I had use with some crumb cake ink and when I started sponging I realized it was not crumb cake but probably crushed curry, but I think it looks alright, sorta vintage.

I used some crochet lace that i had in my stash and weaved a bit of rel red grosgrain ribbon through the top. I punched out a snowflake with very vanilla card stock and added some stardust stickles to it and a antique brad in the center. the sentiment comes from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp set. I stamped with black stazon onto vanilla card stock and punched out with the word window. I matted it with some real red and the modern label punch and added some more vintage brads. The DS paper is from a retired pack, Dashing, I think. I haven't gotten any new Christmas paper yet. the base of the card is very vanilla, sponged with the same dirty sponge ans the image panel.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

FTL102....Sending Extra Love Your Way

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!!

Today I have a CAS card to share made with Fall to Layout 102 on the Clean & Simple Blog

Very Simple, white card base followed that with concord crush card stock, that I used the ticket corner punch on. The next layer is white again and the butterflies made with the Beautiful Wings Sizzix Embosslit die. I used three of the new in colors, Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz and Poppy Parade. The butterflies are attached to the card with white brads.

The sentiment is from the Messages to Mom stamp set. I stamped it with Concord Crush ink and IRL the sentiment doesn't look faded like it does in the pic, not sure why that is.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

SSSC80.......For All You Do

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING PEEPS!!! It's my favorite time of the week, time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample

Here is the fabulous sketch Karen has for us this week:

OK I have to admit I am slow to get on the bandwagon of the vintage/distress trend, I really have trouble with the whole distress thingy, it goes against the grain for me, I am a clean, crisp and layers type girl. I LOVE all the vintage I am seeing, I just don't do it so well.

This card is a 5 inch square and the base is made with crumb cake card stock and then I followed that up with real red. The next layer is more crumb cake and I distressed this layer with my distressing tool. I used the stamp set, Just Believe and For All You Do. I inked up the flower with my markers and stamped onto whisper white, I used the spiral edge punch on each white piece. I sponge with my crumb cake ink pad and distressed and ripped and folded. The two side pieces are stamped with sentiments from the For All You Do Stamp set. I added a bow, some red brads and a mini library clip.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you come up with, create a card or scrapbook page with this sketch and then go to Karen's blog and link up your project for all of us to see.

CCMC110.....Happy Birthday Bird

Good Saturday Morning Peeps! Hope your week went well, and you are enjoying the weekend relaxing!

Today's card share is made with the sketch challenge this week on Create with Connie & Mary Blog.

The base of my card is chocolate chip and I followed that with some very vanilla. The DS paper is from the "Play Date" paper pack. I used some more of the wood sheet, that I had out from yesterday's card and made my circle and scallop circle. I used the bird punch and cut out a chocolate chip and newsprint bird. I layered the newsprint onto the chocolate chip, just to give it more weight. I added some old olive leaves for my bird to sit on. The sentiment comes from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp set. I used some real red grosgrain ribbon and some red sticky rhinestones for the bird and the three accents above.

Well, that is it from me today, I will be back in the AM with my Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge sample. Thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!!!

PPA54.....Kind Thanks

Good Friday Morning Peeps!!!

Today's card share is made with the Pals Paper Arts Challenge. this week is Masculine KISS, which is KISS (Keep It Simple, Sweetie) challenge, and they added an extra dimension to it and have made it a masculine KISS challenge.

Well, I started my card with a 5 inch square base of always artichoke, the DS paper is from the retired To the Nines Specialty paper, I have alot of this pack left, it screams masculine to me, a type I have trouble with. I knew this pack would help me out, I pulled my colors from the colors in the pack. The next layer is a piece of Sahara sand that was embossed with the square lattice EF. the next two layers are the DS paper. The sentiment is from the "Thank You Kindly" stamp set. I stamped with timber brown stazon onto a piece of Sahara sand. The star is punched out with the large star punch out of a wood sheet, I have had since last catalog and had never used. I added some antique brads to the center of the star and the Sahara sand piece. The star is up on a dimensional. Pretty clean and simple, altho even my CAS cards take me forever to do, and masculine. And on the plus side, this card is very mailable. Not much added to weigh it down.

Well, that is all from me today, thanks so much for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Just a Little Note

Good Thursday Morning Peeps!!

I was wanting to make a fast card last night for the ol' blogaroni and went looking around for something to inspire, I was tired after spending most of the day in to kitchen making more peach butter, peach jam and sweet zucchini relish, so looking for something easy. I came across this sweet card made by Barbara Anders, and knew I wanted to CASE it. I changed it up a bit to fit the items I had to work with, I used crumb cake card stock for my base, 5 inch square. I followed that with some real red card stock and the DS paper is from the retired "Welcome Neighbor paper pack.

A while back I downloaded and saved a free printable library card from Heather Nichols blog, scroll down a bit in the post and you will see the link to download the card. I thought if it when I was making this card. I printed out the library card onto very vanilla card stock. I cut it out and rounded the corners and used the spiral edge punch along the top. I stamped the leaves, from the "Apple Blossom" hostess set with my crumb cake and real red ink. The {friend to friend} sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes and the "just a little note" comes from the Apple Blossom set. I sponges alot around the layers with my crumb cake ink pad and sponge.

The rick rack and cute little red buttons are some I had in my stash. Well, there you have it, my CASE with my SU changes.

Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!!

Today's card share is made with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge.

Love this size of card, it is a 3-1/4 x 6-1/2 inches and will fit in the SU small open end envelopes.

My base is made from the wonderful daffodil delight, I can't get enough of this color and the DS paper comes the colorful "Play Date" paper pack. I masked of just this little girl from the "Greeting Card Kids" stamp set and stamped her onto watercolor paper with black stazon ink. I used my aqua painter and ink in daffodil, real red, soft suede and riding hood red to color her in. I cut the oval and the scallop oval with my nesties. I keep the nestie in place and sponged some real red ink around my main image. Isn't she adorable, with her little apple and cute little bow. Just love her!

I used some so saffron grosgrain ribbon to make my ribbon treatment across the card. I used some sticky tape to hold it in place and ruffled it with more sticky tape. The sentiment comes from the retired set, "Thank You Kindly". I added some red brads from my stash and used the pinking heart edge punch om the red layer.

Well, that is all from me today, I have lots to get done today, peach jam and zucchini relish, so I must scurry off. Thanks for stopping by and be sure and check out yesterdays post if you want to win a bit of blog candy!

HAPPY STAMPING!!!

Mojo Hello

Good Tuesday Morning Peeps!! Another hot one on tap here today and no end in sight, UGH!!! I hate the heat!

Today's card share is made with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.

I am not quite loving this one. I do love the owl and can't get enough of him, but I think my card my be just a bit tooooooo BUSY, somehow I just couldn't get my DS paper to work yesterday when I was putting it together. I usually don't have that problem when I am working with a DS paper pack but somehow yesterday, this one just fell short, for me anyway. I do love the DS paper pack tho it is the new SU Play Date.

What do you think? Does it work for you? Leave me a comment and let me know what you think, I will pick a winner from all the comments I get and send you the card and some of the owl bookmarks I have been making lately. If you haven't seen them check out some of my past blog enteries or there is a few in my etsy shop so you can see them there to. I will probably throw in a few more goodies too, so leave me a comment and I will draw a winner on Friday.

Pam, if you are stalking my blog, our trip to KC, schedule for next Monday has been postponed until Sept. 21st. Can't wait to meet ya!

Well, that is all from me today, thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Curtain Call FTL.....Get Well Wishes

Good Monday Morning Peeps!!

Today's card share is made with two separate challenges. First up is Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge Act 41 and also the layout comes from the Clean & Simple Blog, Fall to Layout 101.

The color challenge is one I really enjoy participating in and the Clean & Simple FTL is a fairly new, to me, sketch challenge that I am loving!! The color challenge this week are Night of Navy, Marina Mist, Crumb Cake and Whisper White. What could be fresher that those colors! I used the stamp set "Every Moment" for the pretty little daisy and butterfly. I stamped the flower and butterfly with black stazon onto crumb cake card stock. I then colored the daisy in with some whisper white craft ink and my aqua painter. The flower center is colored in with daffodil delight. I used a bit of wild wasabi for the stem. The butterfly is colored with marina mist, crumb cake and daffodil delight.

The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes and is stamped onto a bit of Marina Mist card stock with black stazon. I hand cut the end of the sentiment panel. The image panel and sentiment panel are both up on dimensionals. I added the night of navy ribbon with a bit of sticky tape, scrunching up as I laid it across the tape using my piercing tool. I pierced along the top and bottom edge of the BG panel. The white is embossed with the square lattice EF. I added some silver pearls for accents.

Well, that is it for me today, Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Sweet Sunday on Vacation

Good Sunday Morning Peeps!!!

The Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and Sweet Sunday Stampers are taking the week off, so instead I have another fun little card to share with you today!

I saw the idea for this card on Lynn Pratt's blog. Isn't it a fun design! The top note is what you open on the card. The base is a single sheet, not folded piece of Crumb Cake and then a layer of old olive. I pierced all around the old olive piece with my piercing tool and mat pack. I cut two top notes with crumb cake card stock. On the top one I used the fun little Hostess set Apple Blossoms. I stamped the leaf image with real red, so saffron, tempting turquoise and old olive ink at varying heights. The sentiment comes from the same set. I scored the top note at approx. 1/4 inch from the top and folded it ovre the old olive piece and used some sticky tape to hold it in place.

With the second top note, I cut off about a 1/4 inch and lined it up with the top one and glued to the old olive. I like having the inside top note to match the front, for writing a personal note, or whatever, I just think it finishes it off nicely. I added some so saffron grosgrain ribbon across the bottom and then glued the old olive to the crumb cake piece.

Well, that is all from me today, head on over to Lynn's blog and give this card a try, she is giving away a free tutorial to the winner.

HAPPY STAMPING!!!!
