Polymer Clay & Bead Embroidery

I did a small polymer clay sculpt of a Native American, added some polymer clay black and white flat beads, some polymer faux turquoise, a button, some rabbit fur and then bead embroidered around it.  I still may add more; not sure.

Spiral Icicle Pattern

I found the below spiral icicle pattern (click HERE) that is very similar to the discontinued Bead's Knees' crystal icicle ornament pattern I used in the photo above (click HERE).  I will be making some of these for the holidays.

Beaded Spiderweb Bracelet

I've had this spider pin for 20 years.  And now it has a new home on the beaded netted bracelet I made from the free tutorial Fusion Beads has on its website.  You can find it HERE.
I made a loop and button closure and sewed the spider on.   Now, I'm in the Halloween mood.

Loom Sample

Playing around with color samples.  I ended up tearing it out because I wanted a more complex pattern, but then regretted it.  I had photographed it, ripped it up, put away my loom and thought I would post later.  Now that I see it, I love the bold colors with this pattern.  Pattern is from CraftsPeople (click HERE).

Beading For The Holidays

Above is the bead crochet pattern for this happy holiday pattern.  I am not quite halfway done and am out of beads.  They can't get here soon enough!

Summer Fun In Bead Crochet

I'm back to beading bright, summery colors with bright, matte neon 11/0 beads in simple patterns.

Icicles In June

The Beads Knees Spiral Icicle pattern (click HERE)
I made these to hang on my  dining room chandelier (above), but they sure make a statement as a necklace.  Yes, you could adjust the pattern for shorter icicles for earrings or a pendant.  Get creative and stay cool in this summer heat by making beaded icicles.

Beaded Feathers

I collect beaded feather patterns.  Just love them.  I beaded a D. Young pattern for these feathers.  Good thing I love wearing large pieces.

Beaded Head Dress

Above and below photos show the inside of the beaded head dress.  I beaded a webbed substructure for the layers of beaded strands; much the same as the inside of a wig.
It has held up well over all these years.

Beaded Wig

I made this beaded wig a very long time ago, well over 15 years.  It reminds me of a tribal head dress.
It usually sits atop a sculpture I made called "Tribal Woman", but it's found a new spot for awhile.

Bead Loom Hatband

I've always wanted a loomed hatband.  For my first one, mistakes and all, I love it.  The pattern is from Craftspeople.info (click HERE).  Craftspeople.info website has many beautiful free loom patterns.

Beading Loom

A good friend lent me her beading loom.  Oh, it is so much fun… thank you Miss Dara.  Above was a practice piece before I started the hatband.  I'm halfway through with the hatband and am really enjoying this.  This loom is called Ricks Beading Loom.  The advantage of this loom is you only have 2 threads to weave in when you are finished.  You can Google "Ricks Beading Loom" for various places to purchase it.  The above free pattern is from Craftspeople (click HERE). You can find many loom patterns on my Pinterest site for loom patterns (click HERE).

Ms Maddies Flowers

This was my Bead & Button Bead Dreams submission.  I received a rejection by email yesterday.  I basically knew it was not going to make it, but I swear, there is always this little kid inside that has that thinks "just maybe".  I entered it in the new "Ms Maddies" category.  The piece had to feature some of her flower beads (click HERE).  I really did love how it turned out and am going to wear it (carefully).  It consists of right angle weave, bead embroidery and fringing.
I really enjoyed making this piece.  I learned a great deal (mostly patience).  But, seriously, with any new adventure starting from scratch, there is much to be learned.  So, I did gain a lot and am thankful.

Dutch Spiral Beauty

The neon and the turquoise dutch spirals intertwined, colors dancing with each other while the light happily bounces from one glass bead to another.

Dutch Spiral #3 Turquoise

I love turquoise.  Love it.  Not like Erin of "House of Turquoise" blog or her fab shop, "Everything Turquoise", but turquoise accessories or a gorgeous turquoise linen tunic (click HERE) is me.  Mmmmmmm, love that linen tunic.
