Last night while playing GE around 10pm plus (when I was actually about to stop for the day), a unknown number called me.
I answer it and the voice at the other end just sound so alien to me.
He keep asking me if I know who is he and I said I don't know.
Then he said he is Jason but I say he doesnt sound like Jason at all.
Next he ask again who is he and I said I really don't know. My bro beside commented if he were I he would have hang up the phone already. My sis was there ?_?.
I don't know but I want to know who is prank calling me so I didnt hang up so early.
Then he keep telling me to say my name, "那你講你的名字叫什麼?"
When I ask who is he he said he is someone who know me so he got my number; "我一定是認識你才有你的號碼的." What bullshit!!!
In the end I cant get anything answer so I just hang up the phone.
And I blocked his sms. How i wish I can block his call too. He attempt to call 2 to 3 times again after I hang up on him.
From the way he talk and sound malaysian, I am suspecting he is AH frm MultiChem, the place where i work part time at last time. I dont think its those from the Chinese Restaurant as I have long lost contact with all of them! So last nite b4 I went to bed I sms my 2 MultiChem friend and ask if they gave out my number to anyone without my permission.
And this morning not long after I reach office, Xiao Xiong (one of the MultiChem fren out of the two) told me that he is sorry that he gave my number to only one person name Lee Chee Keong. WTH? Who the hell is this LCK?? I am so disappointed that it was Xiao Xiong who actually betrayed me. I never thought that he would be the one. And I even had most of my suspecsion on Ah Hua.
Now i ask Xiao Xiong which number (for those who knows, remember I have two because one was being 'brought over to another one?) did he gave up and who the hell is that LCK guy but he didnt reply my sms. I am seriously fucking so fed up and mad!!
Somemore the time when i told him about my the other number (which not many ppl know) I told him many times that he are not supposed to give out my number to anyone and he promised me that he won't!! Yet he has betrayed me! To think that i treat him as a trusted friend.
Now I am thinking how to settle this matter.
Do i need to cut off the friendship with Xiao Xiong??
Damn it man! I am damn piss off early in the morning!
WTF!!! He better answer my sms, I hate it when ppl doesnt reply sms.

First of all...
I was sick with cold, sore throat and serious coughing since last friday.
The thing that trigger the sickness was 'Green Tea', yes and I am not joking.
After drinking Green Tea, my throat starts to get weird.
Then on Saturday I even had fever to 37.5 degrees.
Monday after work bui ta han so Tuesday morning went to the doctor instead of work.
And I got 2 days of MC for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Tuesday play GE again but was actually 'AFKing'.
Not really away from keyboard lah because I taught my brother the basic things and ask him to look out for my characters. Because of the combat and tactic manual so I have to at least level up by one level for all my main group char.
Then I went to sleep while brother look after.
Around 1pm brother wake me up saying that GE got disconnected so i relogin.
But i cant... so I look at the website and found that GE will stop for 30min to fix a bug in the game. So around 1:45pm i wake up to login and went back to sleep.
It was tiring as I was really damn sick on tuesday.
Even though i was sick... but later in the evening I went out with my siblings to watch a movie. This movie we long ago say we want to watch it together, it's 'L Change the World'. ^-^ We watch it at Vivo City GV Max. The movie was great and we waited for the ending scene after the credits roll.
While waiting i turn to my sister and realise that the guy (of a couple) who is sitting on my bro's side turned his position and was looking at me. At first i thought i was seeing wrong due to the medication and since his gf was sitting right next to my bro and he was at the other side of his gf so i thought he turned to talk and look at his gf.
Then i feel weird... I look over to my bro's direction for some time and realise that I was wrong! That guy was looking at me all the time! I was shocked... because his gf didnt seems to realise. So i never look to his direction again as it just feel so weird... imagine a guy... having his gf by his side and still looking at other girls.... =.= Anyway they left earlier during the rolling of credits (think the gf want to go).
After the movie, we went to Long John Silver and treat my sis and bro some snack.
And realise, again! Another guy sitting 1 seat away from us (there's a table in between us) keep turning to my direction and looking at me! What is wrong? But this time its not a couple, its 2 guys together eating.
On the way home while about to cross the zebra crossing, two biker suddenly stopped for us to go when we are still quite a distance away frm the zebra crossing. They could have cross earlier. I didnt notice about that until sis told me that they stop way ahead when they saw us coming by and another biker move forward to take a look at me. So, does it means I attract people more when i am sick?? >.>
Wednesday was another GE time for me and my faction ppl are so good to player-leveling at Rion. Actually i wanted to give up because on the way to a good spot i keep dieing. So annoying... but they told me not to give up and we made it to the end. I was only lvl 64 when the mobs are lvl 64 and above. Then i saw the Black Grim Reaper in action for the first time. Thought it belongs to one of the guys but no one knows whose Grim Reaper was that. At the end of the day I level up from 64 to 68!Thanks to them! O_O Anyway I am not supposed to blog too much on GE things in this blog, for GE stories, please refer to the link call 'Ixite Family' under 'Special Frenz'. Not many people know about this.
Return to work on Thursday (today) but the sickness still haven't fully recover.
Hope I can recover soon. My voice totally sounds so man... =.=
Yeah, made an appointment to the dentist at 4:15pm today, so I actually went off earlier from work so i can reach on time.
Was asking the dentist to check on my wisdom teeth... it isnt causing problem but i don noe why would the other teeth infront actually became slanted...
So i had xray for the wisdom teeth, then polishing... and filling of 2 tooth.
And guess how much was it in total?
Damn God!! $180 in totaL! This is soo EXPENSIVE!! T-T
I am really crying... physically and mentally...
XRay - $20
Polishing - $60
Filling - $50 x 2 (Each hole $50)
Total - $180
I AM SAD...
I cant save even 200 for last month... T-T
Actually I am on leave today. Slept at last night (this morning) around 2am and wake up early in the moring around 6 am plus. Feeling so sleepy but i just cant get myself to sleep early when I'm on leave the following day.
After getting ready, I went out with my brother to his school for his graduation ceremony. I'm the guest since my mum can't make it even though she really want to attend the session.
Anyway the bus was packed with students and were somehow slow because of the traffic and... we went out later than we set. But we managed to reach the school before the registration for the graduation ceremony close.
Finally I got to meet my brother's friends and classmates.
Some were not bad and quite good looking BUT they are all so YOUNG. LOLx
I do notice some of the them peek at me, not only his classmates, other students there too. Anyway I didnt bother.
I was surprised that that sucking project team member leader of his project group actually got to be interviewed and is the outstanding student for the course... something must be very wrong... well... its a long story anyway and I dont think i want to go into details.
Guest were to sit at lvl 5 while graduands are to be seated at lvl 3. When i took the lift, one of the lecturer said 'Free Access eh?' then i was 'Huh?' and she told me that on normal days they need to scan their card to operate the lift and only the staffs have the access to it. Haaha, what a special lift since my brother doesnt get the chance to take it, anyway its not that important lah.
After the graduation ceremony ended with two performace from the juniors, we went out for some photo taking session but most of the group photos were taken by his course lecturer that sai kang Mr Joel. And finally he is willing to give out the letter of participation for the National Day video competition (they got 2nd prize).
Yet they still have money problem unsettled... well... after that we went with his fren, the Boomer and Ben to the chicken stall. They are saying goodbye to the uncle and aunty and told them that its their last visit to the school for sure.
(What if one day mum wants to go his school to eat? How about the money problem? So i dont think he can say for sure its the last day in school... =X)
Next we go seperate ways since his friends are going to some 'spend lots of money' place to celebrate? We went to the area behind East Point for Dental service... but need to make appointment and i dont think i will come such a far distance to have a dental check up. Then we went into East Point... window shopping time! Went to TS and saw this Korean cartoon 'Tales of the Five Tails Fox' and it seems interesting so I brought it. Then we walk to one of the shops that sell games (4got the shop name)... and GE's GVC they had Grace Bernelli's version! It's almost sold out everywhere like Lorch's version. I wanted to get it but only cash payment... its not that i doesnt have any cash... but those cash are for me to deposit into my bank acct... so in the end i left the shop without buying the card.
The last shop we 'visited' was the shoe shop and i didnt even notice when did the shop keeper came near from behind. Then bro wants to take a look so we stopped and the shop keeper (young lad) said that he could give discount. But we end up not buying anything because no shoes seems to really caught our attention and bro is poor... so when we are about to leave, i thanked that young lad and he actually said 'bye bye' so i turn back (didnt had a good look on him) with a bye bye too.
My bro then told me that lad seems familiar, he think he saw him in his school... so can be considered as school mates. Bro also said that when i bid that young lad goodbye, he was so happy and smiled. Lolx! He is not bad but since he is from the same school as my bro... so he's still young.
Then we went to Tampiness Mall...get Mc Ice Milo Medium at $2.60 each... wah milo are so expensive now... next we went to MJ to search for DBSK's Purple Line and T album. I saw Junjie there, well he's working. But i dont feel like smiling to him and i treat him as a complete transparent person even when he walk pass me or come near me. I dont like it and dont noe how to talk to him since he was the one who turn cold and never reply my sms. After that we went to Century Sq Comics connection and ask for GE card, but they do not have the one i wanted... same goes for the Mega Multimedia. Kind of sad and bro said that its ok if we want to head back to East Point for Grace GVC.
When we went out of TM after deposit the cash into my bank acc, we walk from the behind path and I saw Junjie that MJ Guy, and he was with a girl, seems like his girlfriend. So now everything is so clear. He shouldnt had gave me his HP no. when i hit on him that thursday since he alr has a girlfriend and does not intend to even be friends with me. I think he is a horrible guy (despite that he has nice smiles).
It's unavoidable for me to go shop at MJ as I do compare price of CDs.
But i am good at acting not knowing someone whom i actually know of. So it doesnt bother me.
Back to Compass Point was around 4pm plus... deposit cash into my another bank account and off we go to the dental clinic to check on the price... shall think about it. We then walk home. I am really sleepy actually because i did not had enough sleep but yet i cant rest for the day... upon reaching home, i changed into a more cooling outfit and get out again... to meet my sis after she knock off from work.
We meet up and went to Orchard 02 Skin to settle her membership thing then to Kinokuniya to get the manga i have ordered sometime ago. Of cos we do look around for other manga too and in the end i brought 8 items... 7 manga and 1 DBSK's top secret book II (I didnt know that they are going to have a 2nd book when i brought the 1st one on my last visit).
At the end of the day we took train to TPY and board bus 163 home.
Reach home around 9 pm plus and had dinner and slack around... wanted to play GE (if not the activated combat and tactic manual will be gone to wasted).
Slept around 11PM plus after reading one of the comics.
Tired...
P.S: One of my wisdom tooth is giving me problem... pushing the other teeth infront and now it's kind of out of place... in side way... have to go for check up and get the wisdom teeth extraction surgery. Gonna be broke again... T-T I'm so sad and so scared!
Yesterday I sent out a message to all staff in EMB telling them that I am on leave on this coming Wednesday. After posting I edited and added in ‘P.S: Nothing will be entertained when I am on leave’. A few moments ago that HOD called me on my hand phone.
He: “ FiOh, you wrote ‘P.S: Nothing will be entertained when I am on leave’ in the EMB, very crude you know?”
Me: “Crude? You sure?”
He: “Yah. You cannot write this you know? If you sent to one person its okay but you are sending it to all the primary staffs, the principal will see it too. It doesn’t mean you are on leave you can write this, even when I am on leave I don’t write this. You understand what I mean?
Me: “Yah… so I go and edit it?”
He: “You forward the message again and change it to like ‘anything please contact me or Mabel as they will be covering my duties’.”
Me: “Oh. Okok”
He: “You understand what I mean?”
Me: “Yes, I will go and edit.”
Hey… you are on leave you don’t write that because you already intend not to answer and phone call loh. You didn’t write such message doesn’t mean that I should follow you. And why do you always asked if I understand what you mean? Do you mean I don't understand English? Even though its a fact that i failed my 'O' English but by keep saying this everytime seriously make me kind of pissed off.
I am myself why should I follow your style? WTF. Who made me wrote such message; don’t tell me that you don’t have a hint at all. You are the one who always call or sms me when I am on leave. Don’t you understand what does ‘on leave’ mean?
Mabel is from secondary side and how can she cover my duties?
It’s different ok? Please get things clear before you jump into your own assumptions, like you always do. Seriously speaking, I don’t care if you are going to renew the contract or not. Do you think I like this school so much? I don’t, not at all. I would be happier to leave this place, the same reason why more and more staffs are leaving.
And since I am venting out my anger, I shall say more…
I don’t know why but to access the primary school staff room & HOD room, you need to have either ‘password’ or use your thumbprint to get in. (Secondary side doesn’t have this!) So recently the sensor was faulty and has been fixed again and again.
Teachers whose thumbprint failed to gain access to the staff room keep knocking on the door. Not only teachers do that, it goes to those who have the thumbprint access.
Since I sit quite near to the door, I have to open the door for them and it gets really annoyed when I have to on and off doing the door opening service when they need to come in at different intervals. =.=
And when they came in, sometimes some of them will thank you for opening the door while some will simply said ‘The sensor spoiled’. Hello, it has been fixed and if it was spoiled, how came there are still other staffs who can access it by their thumbprint?
I am also able to get access granted through my thumbprint! The problem here is not with the sensor but you! Perhaps your thumbprint data in the system was gone, what you should do is to go to the Operations Manager and ask him to check it for you.
This happened to me once when I was not able to access. So I went to the OM and talked to him. He ‘renews’ my thumbprint in the data and everything has been solved. So what’s the difficult thing in going to the OM to check on your thumbprint data? It’s just plain laziness! Talking about this matter and again, someone is pressing the bell like hell and I am sure later he/she will be knocking on them door damn nosily. Oh… before she starts knocking on the door someone has opened the door for all.
Its as annoying as students' way of knocking on the door to look for certain teacher.
Is it just me who gets annoyed easily or what?
I have so much complaint about this so called ‘good/famous school’.
Like It or Not, Looks Do Matter
Commentary
By John Stossel
Aug. 23
We like to think of America as a meritocracy. A lot of us think we value people because of what they accomplish, or their character, or generosity, or intelligence — that's what we thought mattered, but are we just putting blinders on?
More often than not it seems qualities other than skill, intelligence or character pay off. Here's an example. Anna Kournikova is ranked 37th in women's tennis, and has never won a major singles championship. So, why is it that Kournikova makes millions more dollars from endorsements than players ranked higher?
Looks don't only make a difference for women. Does New York Giants' cornerback Jason Sehorn get so much attention just because he's a top athlete? Is that why he was featured in Sports Illustrated for Women?
You probably know about the famous Kennedy-Nixon debates — people listening on the radio thought Richard Nixon had won. Those watching TV thought the handsome John F. Kennedy won.
When Texas Sen. Phil Gramm sought the Republican nomination for president in 1996, he said: "The real question is whether someone as ugly as I am can be elected." Within months, Gramm dropped out of the race.
Did the press cover JFK Jr. so relentlessly solely because he was the son of a president? Would we have cared so much about Princess Di if she had looked like, say, Princess Margaret?
Beauty and the Brain
It may seem obvious to most of us that people would prefer to look at beautiful faces. While beauty itself may be only skin deep, studies show our perception of beauty may be hard-wired in our brains.
In studies conducted at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts Institute of Technology researchers Itzhak Aharon, Nancy Etcoff, Dan Ariely, Christopher F. Chabris, Ethan O'Connor, and Hans C. Breiter have used magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology to look at the activity in men's brains when they were shown pictures of beautiful women's faces. Breiter and his colleagues found that the same part of the brain lights up as when a hungry person sees food, or a gambler eyes cash, or a drug addict sees a fix. Essentially, beauty and addiction trigger the same areas in the brain.
Some researchers link this addictive pursuit of good looks to evolution. Anthropologist Helen Fisher, suggests that primitive man might have unconsciously thought that a pretty woman had a better chance of bearing healthy children.
The Long and the Short of It
Likewise, evolution may have led women to prefer taller men.
Women will take just about any shortcoming in a man, except in the height department, according to Andrea McGinty, who founded the San Diego-based dating service It's Just Lunch.
McGinty helped ABCNEWS put together an experiment to test just how willing women are to date shorter men. We brought together several short men and asked them to stand next to taller men. We invited groups of women to look at the men and choose a date.
To see if the women would go for short guys who were successful, ABCNEWS' Lynn Sherr created extraordinary résumés for the shorter men. She told the women that the shorter men included a doctor, a best-selling author, a champion skier, a venture capitalist who'd made millions by the age of 25.
Nothing worked. The women always chose the tall men. Sherr asked whether there'd be anything she could say that would make the shortest of the men, who was 5 feet, irresistible. One of the women replied, "Maybe the only thing you could say is that the other four are murderers." Another backed her up, saying that had the taller men had a criminal record she might have been swayed to choose a shorter man. Another said she'd have considered the shorter men, if the taller men had been described as "child molesters."
The desire for tall men begins very young, apparently. ABCNEWS gave elementary school students a test, asking them to match a small, medium or large figure of a man with a series of words. The kids overwhelmingly linked the tall figure to the words strong, handsome and smart. The linked the short figure to the words sad, scared and weak. More than half of the kids also chose to link the short figure to the words, dumb, yucky and no friends.
Add 'Lookism' to the List
To conduct an experiment, 20/20 hired actors — some great looking, some not — and put them in situations to gauge how often the "lookers" would get preferential treatment.
In the first test, we put two women next to cars without gas in Atlanta. The women wore the same outfit.
Both Michelle and Tracey stood helplessly by cars with their hoods up. For the average-looking Michelle, a few pedestrians stopped but only made suggestions as where she could walk to get gasoline. But for the beautiful Tracey, cars came screeching to a halt. More than a dozen cars stopped and six people went to get Tracey gas.
The two actresses helped with our second test, at an Atlanta shopping mall where both women set up a table and sold calendars and teddy bears to raise money for charity. Overall, it looked as if both women were doing well with their sales. Then we counted the money and found Tracey collected 50 percent more.
What if we tested something requiring qualifications, like getting a job? Looks shouldn't matter then but would they?
20/20 hired two men and two women to apply for jobs. The clearest difference between them was looks while they shared similar education and work experience backgrounds. To match them up more closely, we rewrote their résumés to match.
Mark, who was our more attractive applicant, and Mike, the more ordinary-looking one, both had corporate experience and had run their own companies. Donia, our more attractive female applicant, and her counterpart, Amy, both had been secretaries and saleswomen. A consultant trained them so their behavior matched.
Hidden cameras captured interviewers being warmer and friendlier to the better looking applicants and being less friendly to the other applicants. With Amy and Donia, for example, one job interviewer told Amy employees got a 45-minute lunch break but with Donia the interviewer said there was a flexible policy about lunch. Who got the job offer? Donia. Amy never even got a call back.
We ran similar tests using Mike and the especially good looking Mark. Would looks make less of a difference when the interviewers were judging men? Apparently not. On the first interview, for a sales job, the interviewer told Mike he'd call him later but he never called. With Mark, the interviewer was eager to have him return for a tryout day.
"It's a non-conscious process," said Tom Cash, a psychologist at Old Dominion University. "They assume that more attractive people have an array of valued characteristics."
We should add the bias of "lookism" to sexism and racism. It's just as bad but we don't need a federal program.

Research, reality can be at odds over the ugly truth

Editor's Note: CNN.com has a business partnership with CareerBuilder.com, which serves as the exclusive provider of job listings and services to CNN.com.
Studies show attractive students get more attention and higher evaluations from their teachers, good-looking patients get more personalized care from their doctors, and handsome criminals receive lighter sentences than less attractive convicts. But how much do looks matter at work?
The ugly truth, according to economics professors Daniel Hamermesh of the University of Texas and Jeff Biddle of Michigan State University, is that plain people earn 5 percent to 10 percent less than people of average looks, who in turn earn 3 percent to 8 percent less than those deemed good-looking.
These findings concur with other research that shows the penalty for being homely exceeds the premium for beauty and that across all occupations, the effects are greater for men than women.
A London Guildhall University survey of 11,000 33-year-olds found that unattractive men earned 15 percent less than those deemed attractive, while plain women earned 11 percent less than their prettier counterparts.
In their report "Beauty, Productivity and Discrimination: Lawyers', Looks and Lucre," Hamermesh and Biddle found that the probability of a male attorney attaining early partnership directly correlates with how handsome he is.
Size matters, too. A study released last year by two professors at the University of Florida and University of North Carolina found that tall people earn considerably more money throughout their careers than their shorter co-workers, with each inch adding about $789 a year in pay.
A survey of male graduates of the University of Pittsburgh found that the tallest students' average starting salary was 12 percent higher than their shorter colleagues'. The London Guildhall study showed that overweight women are more likely to be unemployed and that those who are working earn on average 5 percent less than their trimmer peers.
According to Dr. Gordon Patzer, who has spent more than three decades studying and writing about physical attractiveness, human beings are hard-wired to respond more favorably to attractive people. Even studies of babies show they will look more intently and longer at prettier faces.
"Good-looking men and women are generally judged to be more talented, kind, honest and intelligent than their less attractive counterparts," Patzer says. "Controlled studies show people go out of their way to help attractive people -- of the same and opposite sex -- because they want to be liked and accepted by good-looking people."
These conclusions may not sound too pretty to those of us who were dealt a bad hand in the looks department. But don't rush off to try out for the next round of "Extreme Makeover" just yet.
Despite what the research says, some of the world's most successful people have been ordinary looking at best, and you would never mistake the faces in Fortune for those in Esquire or Entertainment Weekly. Business legends are often of average height (Bill Gates at 5 feet 9 inches) or even diminutive (Jack Welch, 5 feet 8 inches, and Ross Perot, 5 feet 7 inches). What's more, many folks who are lovely to look at complain that they lose out on jobs because people assume they are vacuous or lightweights.
How does this reconcile with all the research? Hiring managers say it is the appearance of confidence they find attractive, not the presence of physical beauty. And they contend that attractiveness has more to do with how you carry yourself and the energy you exude -- rather than having perfect features or a great physique.
According to Gordon Wainright, author of "Teach Yourself Body Language," anyone can increase their attractiveness to others if they maintain good eye contact, act upbeat, dress well (with a dash of color to their wardrobe) and listen well.
Wainright also stresses the importance of posture and bearing and suggests that for one week you stand straight, tuck in your stomach, hold your head high and smile at those you meet.
Based on many such experiments, Wainwright predicts you will begin to be treated with more warmth and respect and start attracting more people to you.

It's one of life's ironies that retailers try to lure you into their stores with low prices, only to do everything in their power to make sure you spend more than you intended once you're inside.
It's important to understand these methods so you don't fall for them.
Double Discounts: Retailers know that most people aren't good at math, and they take advantage of this. More and more are using double discounts to earn more money while making customers think they are getting a better deal than they actually are.
For example, if you are given a choice of buying a $100 item at 45% off, or buying the same item at 20% off with 30% additional taken off at the register, which would you choose? Most people simply add the 20% and 30% and assume that they are getting 50% off the item.
When you do the math, however, it doesn't work out that way. Taking 45% off of $100 means the item sells for $55. But if 20% off $100 is $80; taking 30% off that $80 leaves you with an additional $24 discount, for a price of $56, or a dollar more.
A 2007 study published in the Journal of Consumer Research indicates that shoppers are likely to feel the double discount is a better value.
Fight Back: Do the math before buying. If you can't do the calculations in your head, purchase an inexpensive calculator and carry it around when you go shopping. If you see an item that comes with a double discount, the store may be attempting to make you believe you are getting a better price than you are.
Pricing items at $9.99 vs. $10: Studies have found that when prices end in 9, consumers end up spending more money. While this might seem strange, there are various theories as to why this happens. Most note that when people process information, the first number they read has a stronger impression than the following numbers. So $9.99 seems much lower than $10.
Another theory is that pricing items this way makes it more difficult to calculate and compare unit prices. For example, if a 200-ounce package of an item is $3 and a 400-ounce package of the same item is $5, it's fairly easy to calculate that the 400-ounce package is a better value.
But when the same items are priced $2.99 and $4.99, respectively, they may appear to be the approximately same price, since the first numbers are what register and two is half of four.
Fight Back: Instead of looking at the first number, make a conscious effort to round everything up when doing your calculations. This is another reason to take a calculator when you shop: it can help you work out the true price if you have trouble doing calculations in your head.
Three for $9.99: Stores will often offer multiple items for a single price, such as three for $9.99. Most people assume that they need to purchase three of the items to get this "special" price so they buy more than they really need.
The truth is that unless the items are marked at higher individual prices or the label says something like "must purchase quantity stated to get discount," you can buy a single item for $3.33.
Fight Back: Get in the habit of purchasing only the amount you really need.
Buy One, Get One Free: This is another promotion that can mislead you into thinking you're getting a good deal. It's often difficult to tell whether you would pay half as much for purchasing a single unit or, for that matter, whether the price of a single unit has been inflated to take into account the extra item being "given away."
Many times the "buy one, get one free" offers are not better than the regular price of purchasing two items.
Fight Back: Before purchasing a buy-one-get-one-free item, find out what the regular price of that item is. Then do the math to see if you're really getting a bargain.
"Sale" doesn't mean a discount price: Retailers play on the assumptions you make. Consumers are trained that "sale" means a good price and these items are usually advertised in big, bright lettering at the end of store aisles. The problem is that what the stores call a "sale" may not give you a very good price. (Check out The Grocery Store Game (Janine Bolan), page 28, for other tips of this ilk.) So the casual passerby will see the item is "on sale" and buy the product assuming it's a good price, when it isn't necessarily so.
Fight Back: Don't assume things on the end of an aisle or that are marked as "on sale" are actually a good price. Make a grocery price book so you know a good price and always compare the prices with other similar items.
Putting things at eye level: When you walk down the aisles of the store, notice what items are at eye level. They will be the ones that are the most profitable for the store, which usually means the most expensive ones. This is because stores know you are much more likely to see and choose something at eye level than something on the top or bottom shelf.
Fight Back: When shopping, be sure to look high and low before deciding which product to purchase. You'll often find what you're looking for at a lower price on another shelf.
Stores are quite sophisticated when it comes to getting you to part with your money. If you understand how they are trying to manipulate you, you are less likely to fall into these traps and hold onto more of your hard-earned money.

Went out to work this morning around 5:45am.
On the way to cross ZRBRA CROSSING, a driver want to SPEED ACROSS and saw me crossing so he BEEP me LOUDLY.
WTF!! It's ZEBRA CROSSING!!
He is the one in fault still dare to BEEP people!
What's worst is he even show 'F' hand sign when I look back at him.
So What? He thinks he is the only one who knows how to show that F hand sign in this world?
So i showed him back 'F' hand sign too. Fuck off lah.
So ugly some more, all because of this kind of drivers that's why the traffic accidents are increasing every year.
I wanna curse him yet it's not a good thing to do... if I damage his car still need to pay him... so what i did to cool myself down and also to vent out my anger is to... Torture him in MY imagination. COOL.
It's not that I am cursing him, anyway I think with his driving attitude, he will get himself into road accident sooner or later.
P.S: Btw, new blogskin...
... Signed.
Yesterday night while on the way for my guitar lesson, upon alighting from the bus and cross over the over-head bridge and walk towards the direction of the Mall, a pervert appeared.
He was on the same bus as me and was standing beside my seat (I sat in the inner seat). Upon alighting, he even stared at my chest. =.=
While crossing the over-head bridge, I walk very fast to take over him. Then he actually starts to walk fast to catch up with me! All the way from the bridge to the shopping mall he is chasing behind me!
He actually did that in such a crowded place!
I don't want to stop and start screaming molest because I am afraid that he will get to touch me if I stopped. So what I did was to increase my walking speed. Finally I manage to shake him off as I walk into the shopping mall.
He seriously has provoked and pissed me off!
Now I think back about this incident, I feel kind of scary... being followed by a pervert from behind, very closely...
Girls shall be very careful when you are out at night. (Even though it is not that late yesterday night when I went for my lesson.)
I hope that bengalee (some foreign workers from Bangladesh) get some retribution.
