My Craft Area - TPE

Hi Everyone,

I have not been crafting for several months now... I am thinking of starting up again real soon.  Over at The Pink Elephant blog the ladies thought it would be great to share our craft rooms/areas with you all.  I have a few pictures below that show the wonderful space that my husband made for me!

http://thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com/

My are happens to be in the "family room" of our house. Directly in front of me is the living room area, to my left is the kitchen and nook. I am right in the middle of everything when I am crafting. I love it because I don't feel secluded from my family. :)

In this picture above you can see my desk where I craft and alot of my craft supplies.  I usually have the blinds behind me closed because I don't like the sun fading all of my papers etc.

Here is a view of where I sit and my pc and work area.  I have alot of shelves that contain my card stock next to the doors that lead to the back year.  The shelves right behind me have my dies, adhesives glue gun, my sewing machine and Silhouette are there also.

This view shows the other angle.  I have all of my planner supplies on the Raskog cart and my washi tape, flowers, and ribbons are kept in containers next to it.  I have my printer on this side of my desk along with my Bose speaker and SU ink carousel.

If you would like to have me do a video that goes more in to detail of my storage and craft space please let me know.  I will do that for you!

Please stop by Lori's Blog on 5/15/15!

Uptown Couple - Stamping Bella - TPE247

Hey there,

Today I have an extra special card to share with you.  It's for one of my cousins who is getting
married in July.  :)

Her bridal shower is on Sunday and I made this sweet card for her.  This week at The Pink Elephant the challenge is to use the watercoloring technique on your card.  Well, I am not really used to this at all!  But I chose to use my Distress Ink Markers - and it turned out BEAUTIFUL!

I used a sheet of paper from the So Noted, Carta Bella paper pad.  I stamped the image in Staz-On ink on some SU water color paper.  I then colored up the image with my distress markers.

Here's a close up.  I really love this technique, and I will be using it again!  :)

Please join us this week at TPE and show us your wonderful water colored card!

Happy Monday!  Let's hope this work week flies by!  :)

This week at The Pink Elephant Challenge Blog we have a "Photo Inspiration" theme.

I used a digital image from Saturated Canary that I received for donating to one of the wonderful causes that Krista was trying to collect for - the image Backpack Friends was a gift from Krista for donating.  :)  She is such a wonderful human being - very kind and always doing for others.

Here is my card.  Needless to say I love this entire card!  :)  I used a Carta Bella paper pad called So Noted.  Very soft and feminine papers in this paper pad.

Here's a close up of the colored image.  I colored my card with copic markers.

I used some hand dyed seam binding for the bow and added some flowers and stuff from my stash.

Graphic Greeting Birthdays - Taylored Expressions - TPE244

Happy Monday Ladies!

Today we have a Techniques Challenge over at The Pink Elephant.  The technique is "The Chalkboard Technique".  I love the whole chalkboard tend that is still going around!

Here is my card:

I used a sentiment stamp from Taylored Epressions called Graphic Greeting Birthdays.  I thought it was perfect for this challenge.

I stamped the sentiment with Whisper White Ink because I did not feel like embossing.  :)  I drew some stitch lines around the sentiment for a little more interest.

The paper pad I used is from MME called Cut & Paste.  I love how this card came together!  I am going to give it to my nephew for his birthday!

Pop over to the Pink Elephant Blog and see what the wonderful team has created!

I used that Valentine paper pad from Recollections again for this card.   It is so versatile!

I used my copics to color this up and I added some Lavender stickles to her gloves.

I added some flowers from my stash and some of that pretty May Arts Ribbon.

Tree Topper - Saturated Canary (TPE228)

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!  We had family come over and it was wonderful! Lots of good food and games.  :)

http://thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com/

Today over at the Pink Elephant Blog we have a "Winter Theme" challenge.  I made a card using an image from Saturated Canary that I purchased a few weeks ago called Tree Topper.

I used non-traditional colors for the card - so I had to make up the background.  I cut various sized strips of Bazzil card stock and created the striped background.  I like how it turned out.

I colored her with Pro Markers and my new set of Spectrum Noir markers.  :)  I love how vibrant the Spectrum markers are.  :)

I added a bow and a few jingle bells to complete the look.

On the little ornaments I added glossy accents and there is a lot of glitter all over for the snow.  :)

Please pop over to the Pink Elephant and join us in this weeks Winter Themed Challenge!

Harvest Princess - Saturated Canary (TPE227)

Happy Monday morning!

This week over at The Pink Elephant Challenge blog we have a "Be Thankful" theme going on for Thanksgiving.  For this card I used Harvest Princess from Saturated Canary - I love the girls she draws!  :)

I used my Kaiser Craft Miss Empire pad for again (it has wonderful Thanksgiving-y papers) for this card.  I added some flowers and a doily from my stash.

I colored her with ProMarkers and Copics. I like the fine tip nib on the ProMarkers for very small areas. But I have all the Copics so my array of color choices there are amazing!

I added some Lace Trim from Martha Stewart. It is gorgeous!  The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms.  I finished the card off with a fancy bow and some Wink of Stella on the feathers in her hair and the apples in her basket.

Please come on over and join us for this weeks challenge over at The Pink Elephant!
