Bee Tilda

Hello Magnolia Friends

I have a CAS card for you today.  This is Bee Tilda from the Spring Fever Collection. I colored her with Copic Sketch markers and I kept the card clean and simple.  The sentiment is from an older Magnolia Collection with I still love to use. The designer patterned paper is one of my favorites and is also from Magnolia.

It's a short post for me today but I hope you found some inspiration in my card.

Have a wonderful week ahead and I'll see you again soon!

Magnolia Shadow Stamps part 1

Hello Magnolia Fans!

I have some exciting news for you.  Magnolia has just released some cute and fun Shadow Stamps.  This will be my first installment of cards with Magnolia Shadow Stamps.  If you love CAS (clean and simple) cards or you need cards that are easy to make and also can fit in a regular envelop with no bulk...these stamps are perfect for you.  But of course, you can also incorporate this stamps with other Magnolia Stamps for your cards.

I have 3 cards to share with you today.
I kept them all in a CAS theme to make the stamps the main focus of the cards.

For card #1, I used some stamps that were part of the Stamp Club that was recently released: the grass, the stem with the flower.  This 2 piece stamp comes as a set called Forget Me Not.  The Sun and the sentiment is from the set called Happy Day.  The cloud is from the set called Dream and it comes with the text "dream" and a small heart.

I do not have ink pads other than Distress Ink pads so I stamped the images in watercolor paper (by Tim Holtz) to have a textured look.  After stamping, I used a wet brush to spread the color with in the boundaries of the image.  For the clouds, I heat embossed it using VersaMark Ink and white embossing powder.  I added some Magnolia Knick Knackery pearls to the flowers.

For card #2, I used the Best Friends stamp set.  It comes with the flower set and a "best friends" text stamp.  The leaves for the the flowers and the sentiment is from the set called For you.

I did the same technique here but stamping the images using Distress Ink pads on watercolor paper and spread the color using  a wet brush.  I also added some KK pearls to the flowers.

For card #3, I used the Make a Wish stamp set.  I heat embossed the stars and added a wash of Faded Jean Ink on watercolor paper.  I die cut a small tag using one of the Tea Label Tags DooHickey Dies and stamped the sentiment.  Then I tied some jute to tie the tag and I added some sequins.

Using cold press watercolor paper is perfect for this stamps because it added texture and character to the images.

So, what do you think about the new Magnolia Shadow Stamps? Well, I think they are pretty neat!
So cute and fun and a must-have for your collection!

I am working on a few more cards using Magnolia Shadow Stamps to stay tuned!
Have a wonderful week a head and I'll see you again soon!

Devine Tilda CAS

Hi there.
I have a quick CAS Magnolia card to share with you.  This is Devine Tilda from the waiting for Christmas Collection.  She is one of my favorite stamps because you can use her for any occasion.

I colored this image using Copic Sketch markers and tried to to a "no lines" technique.  It's been a while since I tried to do this technique.   I used Antique Linen Distress Ink pad to stamp the image. The DI is very light so bleeding or smudging isn't really my concern here.  I have seen Alice Wertz use Antique Linen on her images so I thought I'd give it a try.
Since DI's are not oil based, there are safe for Copic nibs.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

Rupert

Hi
Today I have a card using Tim holtz's  Bird Crazy Stamp set.  I love the birds in this stamp set and I decided to name this one Rupert.

I colored Rupert using Distress Ink Reinkers and kept the card simple.  The sentiment is also one of Tim Holtz's stamps from Stampers Anonymous.

Hope you like my card for today.
Have a wonderful day and I'll see you again next time!

Butterfly

Hi Friends,
I'd like to share with you a card I made using Tim Holtz Watercolor Stamp set and the Handwritten Sentiments set. I love butterflies and anything that has a butterflies on it. I really had fun making this card and I hoping to make more of this cards in the future.

I stamped the butterfly using Died Marmalade ink pad and I started to blend in the colors. I added Mustard Seed and Broken China for the wings and Walnut Stain for the body and antennae.

The leaves come with the stamp set.  I used Shabby Shutters ink pad to stamp the leaves and Peeled Paint for the darker shades.  For the small flowers, I used Scattered Straw.

For the sentiment, I used Archival Ink in Coffee.

Have a wonderful day and I hope to see you again soon!
