With it being Christmas Eve tomorrow, I figured I should blog about the fun things we did before it is actually Christmas.
The Saturday after my brother guys arrived in Utah, we went to watch BYU play at the U Men's Basketball. There were a bunch of people that went and it was a lot of fun. We met up before for some lunch and BYU killed the U. I actually fell asleep towards the end. I catch a few z's when I can.
I also downloaded an app on my phone that puts my pictures into frames. So I won't have to post as many pictures. Only thing is that I have to remember to do it before I download it to my computer. Geez. Anyways, as many of you know, Dane is a Ute fan. Since everyone going to game attended BYU, we were all wearing our BYU attire. Dane was torn and decided to wear his BYU hawaii shirt. It said BYU and it was in red. I think people were confused. Keilani looked so cute in her BYU shirt attire. I only got a picture of her cute face.
After the game we went to dinner at Five Guys and Fries and went up to SouthTowne Mall to do some shopping. I don't think we bought anything, but the kids did enjoy the train.
The following Monday we had Dane's work party at Noah's. This was the first year the christmas part was a FAMILY party. I hope it is the last. It was hard to enjoy it with so many kids running around. It was very chaotic. I hope they go back to the family party in the summer and keeping the christmas party for just the adults. Much more enjoyable. Nevertheless, the kids had fun dancing (they had a DJ on the roof), playing all the different games, and making a foam gingerbread house.
Three days later, the kids had their Christmas sing at school. Papa, Uncle Jo, Aunty Amanda, and all the kids came to watch. It made Bray and Ani so happy.
They put Ani on the second row and when they stood to start singing, I could barely see her. Man, she is so short! She did so good. Bray too. In the picture of Mika and Malakai, that is how they were watching a movie on the itouch. Malakai was lying on top of her to get a better view.
This past friday was our friend's annual ugly christmas sweater party. We always have a fun time. Interesting gifts this year would definitely be the toilet seat for old people (not sure what else to call it), the plethora of hospital undies (we brought some in our gift and got some to take home), and the revised calendars/pictures of people in our ward. Lets just say they are dreaming. Just teasing. The shake and weight was funny. They put the face of someone from the party on the body and wrote a testimonial for it. Clever. The spongebob undies came back this year too.
This past monday for FHE we met my family at BYU for some bowling. Mondays are only 1$ after 7pm. We just let the kids bowl and it did take awhile but they all loved it.
It is that time of year for yummy treats. Miss Kiele got a taste of chocolate for the very first time. She can thank her siblings for leaving it within reach. She was one happy baby when I found her.
On Wednesday we went to Burger Surpreme for dinner with the Fa'alafua's. They remodeled a little and it looks good. Aunty and Uncle definitely spoil our kids. They got the kids some great stuff
Bray got the Kreo Tranformer he was asking for and an angry bird shirt. He is lucky he got the Kreo because I never got around to finding it for him.
Ani got a princess case with lip gloss and a cute outfit
As you can see, Mika loved her minnie mouse backpack and outfit too.
Last night we had our Christmas Dinner with my family since we are leaving. My mom made shrimp and prime rib. Yummy. For dessert she had gourmet cupcakes. So good. Then we opened gifts. We had the kids open all their gifts except for a few we will be taking to Hawaii.
I love these two together. It's like they are having a conversation and Kiele is doing all the talking but Keilani is actually listening.
Opening the stockings
Malakai and Ani were so confused with Kiele's stocking. Since my dad calls her Alohi, he wrote it on her stocking. Malakai kept telling Ani it was hers because the name started with an A.
Grandma got everyone new church clothes
They got them games too
We got Malakai a cars fun set. He loves cars...
The kids got some sweet stuff. Dane and I scored too. Thank you mom, dad, Jordan, and Amanda.
Bray, Ani, and Mika slept over last night so I could spend the day packing and cleaning. They all came over one last time tonight to have dinner and say goodbye. We love our cousins and are so sad they moved away. It's just not the same without them.
Ani & Malakai kept telling each other how sad they were
I really meant to get a christmas card out this year since we failed last year. Well, it never happened. I will try harder next year. Dane's work sent us the picture of our kids with Santa from the Christmas party. So here is your christmas card everyone. Mele Kalikimaka from our family to yours.
