Lilacs, smells like Spring

A very warm 81F today and sunny. It gets warmer every day now in New York City. Even though it is Spring, it's starting to feel like Summer. People all around the city in their shorts and skirts, and sitting outside eating al fresco. That's when you know Summer is here, its all the sidewalk dining.

One thing I absolutely love about the warm weather is all the amazing flowers in bloom. I got some Lilacs, one of my favorite flowers for the house. It smells incredible! If Spring had a smell, for me, it would be the scent of Lilacs.

Sun Sunshiny Day

It was an amazing 81F degrees today in Manhattan. So warm that I jumped at the chance to take my lunch break outside at a sidewalk cafe. Even Sebastian took in the warm weather. He loves it when we open the window for him. He will just sit there for hours. You can see behind him, the enormous Magnolia tree in our neighbors backyard. Here's a larger photo of it. Sorry for the fire escape obstructing the view. When that Magnolia tree starts to bloom, I know spring is here. It's been so warm, that the entire tree is in full bloom! OH...I (heart) spring.

Happy Spring!

Diva Kitty and the Fluffies sent us a nice e-card to wish us a Happy Spring. How nice it was to get an unexpected greeting card on this "New Spring" day! They have some nice flower photos on their blog today. http://divakitty.wordpress.com/ Which makes me think about spring. Oh I wish flowers would spring up around our neck of the woods. Although, It feels spring like out in New York City today, it's very sunny and 47 degrees. Which is warm for us! Wishing everyone a happy spring.
