Let's "Shell-ebrate" grandpa!

Good morning!

Today I have a card to share with you that I made for my dad for Father's Day this year.  He loves fishing and just got back from his annual fishing trip up north, so I thought it would be fun to make his card this year using Lawn Fawn's Critters in the Sea stamp set.

He has 7 grandchildren, so I made sure to add seven sea creatures on his card - luckily there were plenty of animals to choose from in this fun stamp set!  I paper pieced each animal on some patterned paper scraps from My Mind's Eye and did some Copic coloring on them for shading.  Lots of very fussy cutting but it was worth it!

It may be a bit hard to tell, but I layered a vellum embossed circle over the scallop circle die cut to soften it a bit.  I thought the zig zags reminded me of waves a bit.  I didn't like how the scallops got a bit lost with all the images layered over it, so I free hand drew a few dashes and lines around the entire die cut.

The sentiment is from Paper Smooches' Party Posse stamp set.  I spelled out 'Grandpa' using Paper Smooches Mini Monograms alphabet stamp set.

Enjoy the rest of your day!
Jessica

hello.

Good morning!

Have you been feeling like you live in the Artic like I have here in the upper Midwest!?  Boy, it's been a hard, cold winter everywhere.  I'm sure I'm not the only one wishing for spring!

My card today uses the adorable Critters in the Snow stamp set from Lawn Fawn.  I created a bit of a scene with the igloo and a couple of penguins.  I used Lawn Fawn's Peace Joy Love 6x6 paper collection for the patterned papers and a sentiment bubble from the Into the Woods stamp set.

Have a great - WARM day where ever you are, friend!

Owl Love You.

Good morning!

I'm popping in a second time today to share one more Valentine's Day card I made using the soon to be finished Lawnscaping Challenge - it ends today!  It's all about dots and hearts:

For my Valentine's Day card for my sister (who loves owls), I used the adorable Winter Owl stamp set and coordinating die along with the heart & sentiment from the Love You Tons stamp set.  I also used the heart speech bubble from the Into the Woods stamp set with it's coordinating die and snuck some felt clouds cut with the Into the Woods dies too.

Thanks for visiting today!

Love you tons.

Good morning!

I have another Valentine card to share with you today using the super adorable little Love You Tons stamp set with coordinating dies from Lawn Fawn.

This one is for my sister's three kids... so I stacked two boy elephants and one girl elephant together on the tag for a quick and easy card to send them for Valentine's Day later this week.  I love how cute these little elephants are and that there are two of them facing different directions!

Since I incorporated a few polka dots and hearts on my card today, I'm going to link it to the current Lawnscaping Challenge going on for a few more days!

Thanks for stopping by!
Jessica

i {love} ewe!

Good morning!

I'm popping in for a second time today to share a card I made using the new Lawnscaping challenge.

I used the adorable Critters on the Farm for the sheep image and then pieced together a couple of sentiments from the Farm set as well as from the Into the Woods stamp set.

The color choice and layout both came from a couple of SCS challenges issued this week too:

And, since this week's Free for all Challenge is to make a Valentine's Day card,
it works for that challenge as well!

This valentine card is for my parents.  My maiden name is "Ewers" - so it should be pretty evident that my mom has quite the collection of "Ewes" at her house!  I loved that the new Lawnscaping challenge was all about dots and hearts - you can see that I used polka patterned papers as well as several heart die cuts on my card.  So fun!

Have a great day!
Jessica

a cool friend.

Hi there!

I'm popping in again today to share a card I made playing along with the current challenge over at the Lawn Fawn Lawnscaping blog:

I was inspired by this sweet card by Audrie - one of their DT members.  I loved the little scene she built on her tag/banner and decided to build one using some of the adorable polar animals from the Critters in the Snow stamp set.  The sentiment is from Making Frosty Friends.

Ink: PTI White; Memento black

Card stock: Amy Tangerine red polka dot; PTI; Neenah white
Other: Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps bookmark die; Copics; doily; PTI banner die; seam binding ribbon; corner rounder; Sewing machine

Have a great day!
