Discovering the old girl groups was one of those things I would have never been exposed to without the wonders of the internet. One of the best blogs, Classic and Rare Soul Sisters, has ended it's short run, but their links are still active. So don't delay. It's a blog I'm really going to miss.
Here's a confession that I don't make often - I remember music from the late 60's and early 70's (ouch). However I don't remember a lot of the albums featured on FreeMusic07 blog beyond an occasional single once in awhile. Not only that, but the posts appear to be well-thought out to provide the historical foundation of the music we listen to today. My only wish might be higher bit rates (but they are just samples right?). The reviews have pointed out a number of pre-fame associations that I hadn't been aware of. A good place to start might be the British Invasion series found here. Enjoy!
