jar of hearts.

It is way too late, and i should be in bed, but i slept in too long today and now i am not tired. i'm glad i was up to find this song that is playing right now. it was featured on "So You Think You Can Dance" and there was an article on the home page of Yahoo about how it has been an overnight success since it was featured, and I can see why. I adore it. So beautiful. I can't wait to see what else she will produce.

We traveled to Cincinnati again today. We had a going away BBQ to attend for our good friends Russ, Nichole, and their sweet little girl Cecelia. It was so nice to see them before they leave for Buffalo. They are moving within the next couple of weeks. As sad as I am to see them go, I am so excited for them. They are just starting their family, and I think the move will be very good for them. Wishing them all the best.

Robbie celebrated "Inception Day" yesterday. He was SO SO SO excited about this movie. It was his top pick for 2010. He actually went and watched it by himself on Friday. He's a total dork like that....:o) I'm so glad it didn't disappoint him. He was amazed and inspired. I can't wait to go watch it with him ASAP. It has been killing him that he can't talk to me about it. LOL I don't want him to give away anything.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Saturday. :o)

lookie here.

Let's try the video thing again. I embeded the HD version, and it must be too big of a file for some people's internet connection. You can change the quality of the photo by clicking on the number with the "p" beside it. Drop that down to 360p and you should be good to go. :o)

i can't believe it is friday tomorrow.
so glad, but wow.
worked late every night but tonight.
i could have stayed, but i allowed myself to come home. :o)

- last night the kid at taco bell called me m'am. (sigh)
- me pretending to be on a rollercoaster while driving down the little hill in the drive-thru...
- robbie's freezing feet and me warming up my heat pad in the microwave to wrap up in and the cute smile it brought to his face.
- finished editing another senior session tonight - whoo hoo!!
- our local weather station says we have received a total of 25" from the snow storms we have had recently. i am over it. so over it. but i hear mother nature is not. possible snow storm this weekend. maybe tomorrow night? blah.
- robbie having another headache tonight. :o(
- phoenix returned to school today. he wasn't a happy camper. lol
- planning a date night with robbie this weekend. we want to see this.
- received a sweet text from her on my way out the door the other day. love you buttercuppers. miss you too. so much.
- i actually did some online shopping the other night. i can't wait to get my order.
i am hoping this bathing suit makes my boobs look this great. :o)

i loved the shape of this top - another possibility with the leopard skirt below. i don't think the belt comes with it, but i have other belt options. :o)

i got this in black, to hopefully wear with the leopard print skirt.

it is very hard for me to find my size of clothing for work wear...unless i want to spend an arm and a leg on clothes, which i don't and won't. i hate shopping actually.
i found all of these things at Newport News. We will see how their sizes work. Keeping my fingers crossed. :o)

p.s. Lyndsie - I am not sure what program robbie used to make the video, i will ask him and let you know. :o) Hope your hubby has as much fun with the 7D as we have thus far.

we are sharks.

How much does your life weigh?
Imagine for a second that you're carrying a backpack.
I want you to pack it with all the stuff that you have in your life...
you start with the little things.
The shelves, the drawers, the knickknacks,
then you start adding larger stuff.
Clothes, tabletop appliances, lamps, your TV...
the backpack should be getting pretty heavy now.
You go bigger.
Your couch, your car, your home...
I want you to stuff it all into that backpack.
Now I want you to fill it with people.
Start with casual acquaintances, friends of friends, folks around the office...
and then you move into the people you trust with your most intimate secrets. Your brothers, your sisters, your children, your parents and finally your husband, your wife, your boyfriend, your girlfriend.
You get them into that backpack, feel the weight of that bag.
Make no mistake your relationships are the heaviest components in your life.
All those negotiations and arguments and secrets, the compromises.
The slower we move the faster we die.
Make no mistake, moving is living.
Some animals were meant to carry each other to live symbiotically over a lifetime. Star crossed lovers, monogamous swans.
We are not swans.
We are sharks.

a few weeks ago, robbie and i went to watch "Up in the Air".
great movie.
i loved this quote from the movie.

wonderful. stuff.

i know what the quote was about in the movie,

but it made me think of so much more.

today -

  • i love cherry coke.
  • this cute and perfect snowman we saw a few days after xmas.
  • this cute and perfect kid the day of xmas (ok...not perfect, but pretty darn close.)

It has been so cold. Makes me want to hide under the covers and not come out till spring. There are days I love it, and days I don't.

I better get used to it. We have quite awhile till spring arrives.

grabs you.

I finally watched "A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints" yesterday with RG. I LOVED IT. It is a true story created from the main character's memoirs. I can't wait to read the book now. The acting was amazing. It grabs you and takes you through this heart-wrenching story. So good.
I hope to pick up the book ASAP.
