Friday's Ferrari

This car competed in the Coys of Kensington Ferrari GT Race at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1993.
It's the 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB of Scuderia Campidoglio, chassis #2025GT, which has the Gioacchino Colombo designed 2,953cc V12 engine that powered most of the Ferrari 250 series of cars. The 250 GT SWB was introduced by Ferrari at the Paris Motor Show in 1959. It was driven in the two-part race by Lindsay Owen Jones and Peter Hannen.

Leading is Jeffrey Pattinson in his 1954 Maserati 250F, chassis #2508, originally owned and raced by Stirling Moss. The car behind him is the 1949 Maserati 4CLT of Dan Margulies, which was being driven by Peter Hannen, followed by the 1955 Connaught B-Type of Paul Burdell, chassis B4, originally raced by the Rob Walker team.

Friday's Ferrari

This is a photograph I took at the Christie's International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1992 which featured a special display of Ferraris in the paddock numbered 1 to 32, and a page in the programme of the event gave details of each of the cars.
This is a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Competizione, chassis #2735GT, and is the Rob Walker entered car with which Stirling Moss won the 1961 Tourist Trophy race at Goodwood. The car was rebodied by Piero Drogo after competing in the 1962 Tourist Trophy race, but was restored in stages from the 1970s, the complete restoration being finished in 2009. The car on the left is a 1950 Ferrari 166 MM Touring Barchetta that the factory brought up to 195, and later to 212 specifications. Owned by Dudley Mason-Styrron it is chassis #0040M. On the right is a Ferrari 250 GT LWB Berlinetta Scaglietti TdF at the time owned by Peter Hannen and is chassis #1353GT.

Pre-War Le Mans Cars Team Race

I took this photograph during the Christie's Cup Le Mans Cars Team Race at the Christie's International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1992.
Leading here is the 1932 Invicta S Type of Bob Wood followed by the 1931 Alfa Romeo 8C Le Mans driven by Peter Hannen. Behind that seems to be the 1931 Bentley 8 litre of Keith Schellenberg with the red 1935 Aston Martin Ulster of Nick Mason on the outside.

It's the 1960 Maserati T61 'Birdcage' of Hartmut Ibing, and was driven in the race by Peter Hannen. The Maserati T61 had a 2,890cc inline 4-cylinder engine, and this car is chassis #2461 which was acquired when new by Lloyd Casner for his Camoradi team, for whom it won the 1960 Nürburgring 1000 km race in the hands of Stirling Moss and Dan Gurney.

Maserati 4CLT

This car competed in the Chopard HGPCA 100 Mile Grand Prix Car Race at the Coys International Historic Festival Meeting at Silverstone in July 1994.
It's Peter Hannen's 1948 Maserati 4CLT, chassis number 1595, and was driven in this race by Dan Margulies. The first 4CLT was produced in 1947 and the 1948 variant made its debut at the San Remo Grand Prix, winning the race in the hands of Alberto Ascari. The 4CLT hes ever since been known as the 'San Remo'.

Friday's Ferrari

Today's car, seen at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1994, is a 1962 Ferrari 250GT SWB which was entered in the 'Coys of Kensington GT Race' by Lindsay Owen-Jones with the two listed drivers being Peter Hannen and 'To be nominated'. As far as I can ascertain it seems to be this car, although the list of events in which that car is shown to have competed doesn't include the 1994 Coys meeting.
