In this very unusual Australian horror movie without dialogue or character names, a psycho (Norman Yemm) who preys on women keeps cats in cages to devour the evidence.

The movie was originally planned to be first episode of a 12-part horror series entitled "Fright". It only became a theatrical feature after the shocked Australian Broadcasting Corporation rejected the TV series.

The incongruously loud sound effects of the black cat purring and licking his chops at the end are hilarious. Cats in cages are never funny though.
