Things in the kitchen scene have been moving at a slow pace

Rob was on vacation, oh I mean working this past week

which meant I didn't get anything done

Yesterday was a glorious day, we kicked it into high gear

Our granite counter tops were installed

THEY ARE AWESOME!!! I LOVE THEM

My sink and faucet are beautiful, I am in love :)

We opted for a higher end kitchen faucet,

if you call something from Lowe's higher end

It is operated by touch, you can tap anywhere on the faucet and it will turn on and off. A major plus for a bread making girl.

No more sticky dough on the faucet.

We were trying to be cheap and salvage our garbage disposal, figured it ain't broke, why fix it but were shot down.

I wanted a new disposal flange to match my new sink. The type of flange that we need to fit out OLD disposal is nowhere to be found. So Rob picked up a new style flange at Home Depot and we will by a new disposer to fit the new style flange and call it good.

Also are ordering our flooring today and that puts us over budget :) The last major thing we will need to buy is molding for the walls.

*Samantha let me know that she needs a new swim suit, "Mom, the letters are peeling off my suit. It's because I swim so fast!" No need to worry about that girls humble pie

*My little Jo had her first kitty cat ears this week :)

End of the Tunnel

There is a light at the end of the tunnel,

I caught a small glimpse yesterday

Rob and I finished painting the walls last night, I cleaned off my dining room table in preparation for three extra kiddos we are watching for the week...I also moved the fridge back to its home

Things are feeling better, I dusted the main floor and it was nasty

Granite measurements were taken today and install is set for next Friday, I am excited!! Our grand total is starting to climb near the top. I hope we can make it work, floor still needs to be ordered and if the granite measurements come in different that what Rob and I accounted for we may be off of our budget.
