Dorthy and the Cowardly Lion

We went to our work halloween party dressed as the wizard or oz (see main picture). We had a lot of fun. There was tons of food and a great turn out. I went as the scarecrow, Heidi was the wicked witch, Ashton was the cowardly lion, Chloe was Dorthy, and Oli was the good witch. They gave out prizes for the best costumes at the end of the evening. Asthon won 3rd prize out of the children and I won first prize out of the adult men. On a side note, Chloe spent most of today at an instant care from having her finger slammed in a door. They had to take off the nail and put in 6 stitches. She was a real trooper and did just fine during the party. There is a chance that she will lose the tip of her finger, but we are hoping that it will heal and the finger nail will grow back.

favorite sister?

Yesterday, I layed Oli on the couch, while I ran in the kitchen. When I turned around I found this. Ashton reading to Oli. I asked him what he was doing he said," Oh I'm reading to Oli, shes my favorite". He loves to have little one-sided conversations with Oli. I imagine she is less bossy and shares alittle more than Chloe.He spends alot less time with Oli due to all her sleeping. Well, I'm glad he understands the importance of reading to small children.

All dressed up

I feel like the grinch. Everyday my kids ask if it is time to put on their costumes and go trick-or-treating, and I reply "Sorry guys its not Halloween yet". Well, the other day I came into the play room and they were both decked out in their costumes, playing pretend trick-or-treating. I laughed and made them sit for a picture. Enjoy .

P.S. I made Chloe's costume. She 's Uniqua from Backyardigan, she was set on it.

We had two winners...Leslie and Katie. Sad that my two other sisters and mother were not able to pick out the kids. Better luck next time. As far as the prize, we really didn't think anyone would get it correct so now we need to come up with something.

Chloe McBossy

Chloe has combined her mothering skills with her silly little girl skills to come up with some pretty funny bossing conversations.

Conversation#1; We were getting ready to leave the house. Ashton is stammering and walking to the bathroom. Chloe looks up at me and says,"Mom, we can't leave yet" then she runs after Ashton and yells, " ASSHTON, it is alright you can go pee".

Conversation#2; Once again we are getting ready to leave the house and I hear Chloe talking to Ashton she says," Oh. Ashton you have your shoes on good job. Okay. Ashton you can go out to the car but don't drive". I walked up just as she was finishing up her bossing and I asked her "What did you say" she just looked up at me and said "What"?

Conversation#3 I'm in the kitchen and I hear Chloe climbing up on the couch to see Oli. I hear her say,"Hi Oli, what doing. Sleeping? I peeked around the corner in time to see her kiss Oli and then jump of the couch singing out," I SUPER love her".

haircut and updated on Oli

I've been asked to post a picture of haircut I got recently, I must say I like it but I've discovered I have to do it for it to look decent. Next time I"ll get something that requires less energy.

Olivia is an amazing baby. She is a super sleeper and very layed back. She is only waking up once at night and has been sleeping in until 7am. She is plumping up at well over 8 pounds and has grown 2 inch. I'll be doing her first photo shoot soon and will post the photos.
