The past week hasn't been exactly strenuous or anything. Watched how certain animals were killed and had their insides removed. And just as daniel said, it made us feel more morbid.

All that remains now is the manual decapitation of a quail on tuesday.

Heading to beach road now!

What pushes you to take one more step when you have almost nothing left? What drives you to persevere when the task seems almost impossible? Friends.

During these days we've spent together, we've had our fair share of heated arguments, laughter, frustrations and all but i'm glad we've made it through as one. Kudos to joshua for navigation, daniel and xj for taking up the 940 and daniel for always stopping for me when i stopped. 60km isn't a really short distance to go by foot, especially when you're lugging a 30kg load around. The unpredictable rain didn't make it easier. Jokes and small talks took our minds off the pain and kept us trudging forward even when the next step took much more out of us. While we each took our turn to explode, it's really heartwarming to see that we've accepted each other as a team. 54C!

"It's fine and dandy with me!" ((:

So we were the last team to arrive at 38hrs33mins but we completed it nevertheless, every single bit of it. The instructors were all more than understanding and gave us our due rest. For once, it actually felt that this place had some warmth in it. Guess it's just me getting used to this place already.

Longjohn-ed with xj, fab and pk over dinner. It's awesome having a healthy appetite!

That's our youth at Keith&Jill's chalet some time back. Friends come and go and my army experience so far has proven that so surely. Thankfully, these guys stick around.

So this post marks the end of my second week in hell and the 1/4 mark of this course. Freedom seriously never tasted so sweet. Glad to be out, albeit with sore shoulders and blisters. ((:

"The REAL training's only just begun. Things are gonna get tough from now on."

These words kept ringing in my head. Those were his last words as we booked out yesterday. I already thought it was a miracle that we survived yesterday's ordeal and pushed aside all thoughts of falling out for those moments. Still, i'm gonna grit my teeth and push forward and earn what wx and nic have.
