FO: Fizz Socks
Pattern: Fizz Socks of my own imagining
Yarn: Knit Picks Felici in Fizz
Needle: US #1 (2.25 mm) Addi Turbo circular needles
Notes and Mods: This is my first pair of afterthought heel socks and I'm not sure if I like them or not. The afterthought heels were easy to knit but I don't like the messy stitches where the corners of the heels meet. These are a gift for my sister for Christmas so I can't even tell you how the fit of the afterthought heels compares to my regular heel flap and gusset construction fit.

Wedding Mania
I don't know about you, but I've hit wedding mania this month. Two important weddings in two weeks are eclipsing almost everything else on my calendar, even knitting!
My sister in-law, Chloe, got married this weekend at Kitsap Memorial State Park. I was in charge of flower arrangements, bouquets, and boutonnieres. Didn't you know that flower arranging is my super-secret talent? Here's the proof. This was Chloe's bouquet.
Chloe's dress belonged to her grandmother and she had it updated for the wedding. She had awesome purple shoes with pansies on the toes.
These are the flower girls - Little A on the right trying as hard as she can not to break down into fits of giggles. She and the other two girls became fast friends over the weekend and (thankfully) kept each other occupied while I labored over the flowers. These are pretty much the only pictures I took over the weekend. Once the ceremony started up I was caught up in a whirlwind of vodka lemonade, dancing, flower girl wrangling, and general good cheer. Congratulations, Nick and Chloe!
P.S. - There will be knitting content soon. I only managed to squeeze in about 6 rows on a sock over the weekend despite my best efforts.

Music Monday
"Flash Light" by Parliament. I'm attending two weddings in the next two weeks so I'm trying to keep myself amped up energy-wise, Funk really helps in this endeavor.

FO: Cameron Hoodie
Pattern: Cameron Hoodie by Bobbi IntVeld
Yarn: Columbia Minerva Knitting Worsted (vintage)
Needles: US #7, US #8 Addi Turbo
Mods: I knit wide pink stripes since I didn't have enough of each color to knit the tunic in a solid color. I ran out of the dark pink (the tag states that it is "luscious" pink) at the neck so I finished the hood in light pink. The remaining tiny ball of dark pink was enough to knit the ribbing around the hood but not enough to do ribbing around the armhole. I ended up picking up stitches around each armhole and binding off on the next round to keep the fabric from curling inward. This is a great layering piece - the wool is lightweight and warm and the tunic can be worn over t-shirts or long sleeves this Fall. She loves it!
