Going digital - sort of...

Do you have been to trips or happenings from which you have tons and photos and have no idea where to start when it comes to scrapping? I do...

I have challenged myself to go digital, too, in 2017 and I'm going to use the Project Life App to start with.

Hands down, it was so easy to use, and this layout is the first I made, using free templates and collection packs:

One of those trips we have lots of photos from, is our hiking trip into the mountains this fall. I wanted to check out how a digital layout from our trip to the waterfall "Myfallet" could look like:

Worked as a charm!

Then I got really brave and scrapped a (silly) photo session of my cousin, his daughter and my husband:

So, do I have any plans for using the PL app? Oh, yes.
  • I plan on documenting snap shots from our daily life weekly,  two or three photos from each week, just to tell the stories I often forget are worth telling.
  • I will use the app on a long road trip later this year, making a layout every night using the best photos of the day - a kind of trip diary.
  • Any other occation when I feel I want to have lots of photos in my album.
I have figured out how I can print at home from the app - I will share with you in a later post, so stay tuned!

Lockers in Wroclaw (Scrap lift)

I visited Wroclaw, Poland, in December. The main reason for the trip was the Christmas market, but we did some sightseeing, too.  Oneone of the bridges lovers had put up lockers to show their love, and I found the collection so pretty and colorful, that I needed to take a photo of it.

Papers: 4heures37. Word stickers: American Crafts. Wood weeners: Project Lift/Becky Higgins. Twine & charm: unknown

The idea for the design came from one of the April scrap lift challenges at Paper Issues. Here is the layout to lift, made by Janet Grzanka-Dlugokenski

I used the layout as a sketch and kept the main elements, like the large vertical paper strip and the right side embellishment cluster

What a surprise: I doodled :-)

Cute wood weeners
Please come back later this week, as I have more up the sleeve for you :-)

A wine drinker's heaven

Italy.
Piemonte.
Barolo.

Do I need to say more?

Some times themed/ photo papers work out on layouts (why do I keep buying them, when I find them difficult to use?)!

Background paper: Paper House Design. Other papers: unknown Alpha: American Crafts. Corrugated word: Jillibean Soup. Wood weener words: Becky Higgins for American Crafts. Chipboard: unknown

Close up of cluster (and wine)

The background paper is bought recently, but the other must be 7-8 years old.

The design is taken from the April 15th sketch at Stuck?! Sketches

It might be hard to recognize the sketch because of the image of the big wine bottle on the background paper, but it's there, just have a look - layers, cluster and title *lol*

Thank you for stopping by - your visit means a lot to me!

The restoration project

A month ago huby finally found his dream boat: a classic  - a 13 foot Selco Select - 1970 model.
The body is in quite good shape, but the seats: oh boy!

I know where to find my hubby this winter: in the garage (no room for his car for a while), making this baby pretty before the summer season.

Background paper & buttons: unknown. Journaling cards: Becky Higgins PL. Stickers & alpha: Authentic. Anchor & wheel dies: LaLaLand

I found the design in Sketch-N-Scrap's Sketch #66:

Some close up photos:

Do you - our your better half - have any restoration projects going on?
