No Bones Doggy

Howdy -

Once the New Year is here - I am already looking forward to Valentines Day. Love it! It is also my Hubby's Birthday and our Wedding Anniversary so its a big day :0) - Today for High Hopes Stamps I decided to pull out and have some fun with one of the fabulous Valentine Images. Love how it has that vintage school days feel to it. Makes me want to find a shoe box and decorate it for a school room party! Ha!

This is No Bones Doggy  -

Is he adorable or what?? Colored with Copics (colors below) It is really so perfect that the sentiment is part of the image. Easy! Cut out with a Circle die cutter, and then did a faux mat around it with a dark red Copic. Then matted with a Scallop die. The pattern papers aer from My Mind's Eye (Lost & Found collection) All the layers are sewn down with zig zag stitch. Then wrapped a ribbon the papers. Found some mulberry flowers... no red ones though. So I used light pink ones that I colored with a red Copic. It is great to make thing all matchy matchy! A few brads to center the flowers and done!  This one just makes me giggle!

No Bones About it......

Hi Folks;

As Valentine's day is almost here, I thought it was time to make a Valentine's Day card.  There is no doubt that High Hopes Stamps has some very cute images that make great Valentine cards.

Now as I know a few people that have dogs and puppies as pets, No Bones Doggy would be just perfect for the card.

After stamping the image onto friendly copic paper, I coloured it with Copic Markers.  I used a Spellbinders Labels die to cut the image out.  Using Mulberry Paper, I cut some small hearts out and added a jewel to the center.

Supplies used:

  • Stamp:  No Bones Doggy (M131) -- High Hopes Stamps
  • Ink:  Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper:  XPress It Blending Cardstock, Mulberry Paper
  • Copic Markers:
    • Dog: E30 - Bisque, E31 - Brick Beige, E33 - Sand, E0000 - Floral White, W00 - Warm Gray No. 00, W0 - Warm Gray No. 0, W1 - Warm Gray No. 1, N8 - Neutral Gray No. 8
    • Collar:  N1 - Neutral Gray No. 1, R46 - Strong Red
    • Bone:  E40 - Brick White, E41 - Pearl White, E42 - Sand White
  • Dies:  Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Two; Stitched Nested Hearts - Tutti Designs
  • Miscellaneous: Jewels

No Bones Doggy

Howdy -

Now that we are moving onward into January the next holiday, that is my favorite, is the card making focus! Love Valentines day! Hubby and I were married on Valentines Day... and it happens to be Hubby's Birthday. :0)

So as you can tell its an important holiday around here. And I ADORE the High Hopes Stamps images that have the old fashioned feel of sentiment made with the image. Just reminds me so much of those sweet little elementary school valentines! Makes me want to decorate a shoe box so I have somewhere to receive my own!

This is No Bones Doggy -  I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then cut out with a pretty shaped Nestie. I found a scrap piece of Paper Studio red dotted paper that all though from a Christmas collection had a perfect Valentine feel to it as well. I sewed the pattern paper to brown kraft card stock and then matted the image on the same kraft card stock. Then a few enamel dots for embellishment.

Fun image that makes a great "insert heart here" card!

Copic colors used

Hope you enjoyed my card this week. Me... makes my heart happy and now I think I need to run and color another Valentine image!!!

Thanks so much!

No Bones & new die cuts!

Happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing High Hopes adorable image called No Bones Doggy....isn't he just so cute?!  I have the perfect person to send this card out to.

I had quite a bit of fun creating this card.  I love banners and can never get them quite right unless I have a die to cut them with.  This time I thought why not give my die cutter a whirl.  So I ended up making the little banners that way.  I don't know that I would have been able to do the little ones by hand.  I cut out three sizes of ovals and cut off a piece on the right side of each one.  A little grosgrain ribbon, patterned paper & adhesive dots and this card was all done.

Copic Combo
Grey - T9, T7, T4, T3
Ears & Nose - E04, R20, R11
Bone - E33, E31, E30
Collar - B18, B16, B14

Paw - E33, E31

No Bones About It

Happy Thursday High Hopes Fans! Thursday means it's my day to post some inspiration for you ........and it also means tomorrow is Fri-YAY! The weekend is almost here!

Today my card features "No Bones Doggy" another fun, versatile stamp from High Hopes and the layout is based on this month's challenge sketch.

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, these stamps make it a breeze to make a card especially with the sentiment as part of the stamp! Cool right?!?!

Our cute dog friend is coloured with alcohol markers and cut out using a stitched square die. I tilted the cardstock piece behind the image and added some ribbon and a wood heart. The heart is coloured with an alcohol marker to match the card. I used Silver Wink of Stella on his tag and collar studs - I like to add a little bit of sparkle to my cards if I can. Some sparkly gumdrops finish off my card - just a little more sparkle..<wink>

You're Great!

Happy Tuesday all!
Today I am sharing with you another Valentine card. I am using the High Hopes Stamp called "No Bones Doggy"!
I decided to use the Art Impressions Easel die to create this card.  I am using Valentine themed paper to create the card and I embellished it with sequins.
The nice thing with this Easel die is that it will fold flat for easy mailing!
I used my "big hugs" die and cut it out on Heidi Swapp Toner paper . Then I ran that through my Minc mini machine with foil paper for a neat effect!
Copics used:
Dog: T0, T1, T3, T4, T5, T7, R11(ears), 0
Bone: E41, E42, E43 / E00, E11
Collar and tag: R21, R22, R24, FY1
Black gel pen: nose, collar and whiskers

Don't forget to enter into the February Challenge over on the HH BlogThe February Challenge is easy!  All you have to do is leave a comment on the daily inspiration our Design Team posts for your chance to win!!!
