Julie's Smile

Today I am bringing to you another New Release from High Hopes called Julie's Smile!  Isn't the fairy collection just adorable!  I also used the image Julie's Butterfly for the Butterfly Strip down the left side of the card

I made this card for a very special family!  Many of you know that my husband recently became ill.  My daughter wanted to do something special for her dad and since we are a softball family, she approached a parent on the team who has some seats to the Blue Jay's games!  Well they offered her a pair of tickets for a game against the NY Yankees!  So my daughter took my husband out for a bonding night to the game on May 4th!!

The Copic Markers that I used for this project are;

Skin E21, E11, E51, E04

Hair E30, YR31, E33, E35

Wings/dress/butterflies
    R22, R24, R27
    BG32, BG15, BG09
    W9, W7, W5
Eyes BG49, BG45, B00
Background YR00, YR000, YR0000
    Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass

The paper that I used for this project was all in my stash!  I just used some plain paper (unpatterned).  The additional embellishments were from Make It Crafty for the Scripty Thank You and the Butterfly and Dragon Fly on the actual card.

I am entering this card into the following challenges;

High Hopes - May Challenge - Anything Goes
Join Us! - It runs through 7pm EST Thursday, May 31st.

I hope you join me again next week when I have a new release to share with you!  I can't wait!

WOW the week came and went!!!  I am so late for my project this week!  Where oh where does the time go?  This week I worked with Happy Panda from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  I had this one chosen because my niece turns 16 this year in a few weeks and her name is Amanda so OF COURSE her nick name is Manda Panda!

The Copic Markers that I used are;

Panda - N9, N7, N5, N3, N1 - E40, E41
Mouth - R20, R22
Bambo - E55, E53, E51
Leaves - YG25, G24, 28

The Sky and ground are the Distress Inks from Tim Holtz!  I am just inspired by a nice cloudy sky and I seem to use this background quite a lot right now!  It saves on copic marker ink too LOL.  The inks that I used for the ground were Tea Dye, then on top the Crushed Olive.  The sky is simply the Tumbled Glass.

The paper that I used for the background I purchased from One Crazy Stamper

I hope you will join me on Friday for another image that I will be sharing with you from High Hopes!

The challenges that I am entering this card into are:

Friday March 27th, 2015 - Fox on the Beach - MichelleVata

Isn't this the cutest stamp from High Hopes Rubber Stamps?  The Stamp is called Fox on the Beach.  As soon as I saw it, I knew it was all about my DAD!  My dad turns 76 today!  Everyone used to call him the sly fox when he was working (many many years ago before he retired) so I knew I had to make this into a birthday card for him!

The top green tule actually pulls (see image 2) out a hidden message for my dad from myself and my family!  Hopefully he will know enough to push it back down afterward so it stays with the card LOL!

Just in case he doesn't remember to push that tag down again into the card, I will write similar sentiments inside the card

The Copic Markers that I used to colour this image are;

Fox - Brown - E40, E41, E42, E43
Fox - Red - R59, E08, E35

Hiya All!
The image today is from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  The actual Rubber Stamp is Bunny with Tulip.

I used a new technique that I learned from an Online Class that I took.  The technique was to colour the image then use the colourless blender on a piece of fabric to remove some of the colouring to make it look like a stuffed animal.  It did not turn out the way I was hoping, it bled through so I actually made lemonade from lemons LOL  I cut out the image, used another one to glue the cut out image on...see how perfect the whiskers look? LOL.  And then thought, hmmmmmm for a bit more of a pop I will do another colouring of the tulip and vase and pop that up!  The effect was quite nice if I don't say so myself!  Geesh now thinking about it I should have popped up the feet too, maybe twice for the effect...Oh Well, next time I use this image!  I also curled the orange paper to a round effect so it looked more like a carrot for the bunny

The Copic Markers that I used are;

Bunny - E18, 17, 15
Bunny Ears/Feet/Nose - RV10, 21, 13
Vase - BG0000, 000 and R56, 37, 35
Tulip - V17, 15, 12
Leaves - R56, YR04, YG67, YG17, YG03
Sky - BG0000, 000
Shadow/Table - E42, W2, W0

The items that I used to create my card are;

BackGround Paper from One Crazy Stamper

On hand I used the Orange and Green Cardstock, the Green Thread (for the carrot top), Ribbon.  Not sure where all these were bought from I have had them for years LOL.  Common I know your saying the same things LOL

Thanks for popping in to see my creation!  I look forward to seeing what you complete for our Challenge this month.

Jane

This is Party Girl Florence

Sure hope everyone is keeping warm these days!  Maybe this "party girl" will heat things up!
I coloured Florence with Tombow Markers and water, then sponged some pink and blue ink around the image.  Glossy Accents were used on the balloons, and frosted lace stickles on her pearl necklace. I used a wave die(on blue vellum), and palm tree die for an added touch to this card. The designer paper is from Carta Bella-Summer Lovin'.  A few YNS - green glitter gumdrops were placed in the top corners to finish it off.

Hope this inspires you to create a card and join us for this month's "Anything Goes" Challenge!
Thanks for joining us!!!  Have a wonderful weekend!
