WFU Soccer- Henry.

Tonight we drove up to campus and watched the reigning NCAA champion soccer team. I like soccer games because we get to watch those guys run around after a ball, the big lights are on, and because I get to pick out a ring pop to eat while we watch the game!

Today I picked blue.

It was great!

There were a bunch of other exciting things at the game tonight too! The Demon Deacon- Deke- was thee. We had a love-hate relationship. I always wanted to see him, but I was nervous whenever he came near. I did get up the nerve to high-5 him once, but spent the rest of the night making sure he wasn't coming close to us.

The other excitement was the enormous grasshoppers! Seriously, they were 4 inches long! Yikes. One got on mom's purse and she even moved it so I could watch the grasshopper. Thankfully, I have a healthy respect for insects and didn't try to touch it.

We had so much fun at the game and even got to stay past our bedtime. We finally got to bed at 9pm. Apparently, I had so much fun that I'm still upstairs talking and singing to myself and it's 10:30. Luckily, Junery (that's my new name for her) doesn't seem to mind.

Firefighters- June.

Yesterday, we ventured out of town and headed to the Lewisville Library for story time.
There was a real fire chief there and he swore us all in as honorary firefighters. We even got badges and helmets.

While the fire chief was reading stories, I was chewing on a chair.

Mama thought it would be fun to get a picture of both of us, but good luck geting two kids who don't like hats to pose.

Henry tried to explain to be how fire fighters wear their helmets.

Just like this.
We had a good time after story time in the library. There were lots of puzzles to put together and books to read. Mama tried to read Henry a book called "Pacifiers are not forever," but Henry got up halfway through it and walked away.

What we've been doing-Henry.

Mama made us take baths last night.
By the time we got out, we were both pretty tired.

I didn't want to have my picture taken.

But I have a secret weapon up my sleeve...

When all else fails, make your sister cry and mama will stop taking pictures.

Later, I did some home repair in the nude. It seems to be the trend in this house these days.
Meanwhile, June just stayed downstairs eating us out of house and home.

And feeling pretty good about it.

How 'bout June in the nude?

We tried to come up with witty comments for these pictures, but we think June's rolls speak for themselves.

We counted 28 rolls.
A mid-bottom roll?

What a belly.
Luckily, despite my bulk, I still have my flexibility.

Fall photo shoot-Take one- Juner.

Today mama put us out on the lawn and tried to get a nice fall picture of us. Good luck getting both kids to look in the same direction when the sun is in their us.
I just wanted to look at the flowers and Henry didn't even want to come sit by me.

When he did sit down, he wouldn't stop talking.

Then Henry couldn't decide which pumkin was mine and which was his.

The he decied they both needed to be in his car.

Then it was just me. Alone with no sock.

Oktoberfest-June.

Tonight, Wake Forest held Oktoberfest. We decided to go up to get a good dose of polka and sausage. It was a little different down here than in Wisconsin. For example, people kept saying things like "Oh, I'll try a little of that white stuff. What is it called? Sauerkraut? Oh what the heck. I'm feeling crazy."
I got to try my first pretzel. It was great.

Henry liked his too.
Mama offered to share her kraut, but wasn't upset when everyone said no.

I also got to try my first brat. It was great. I'm not sure if this is what they meant by introducing pureed meat into your baby's diet.
I love saurkraut just like my mama.

I also ate a big bowl of carrots and another bowl of applesauce and oatmeal, but I was still hungry. So I ate the rest of Buster's apple. My endless appetite attracted quite a few people and we ended up having a fun night with some new friends.

We had a great time and mama introduced me to a new dance- the polka. We danced and danced and I've never laughed so hard. Henry and Papa just tried to pretend like they didn't know us.

Finally, mama wanted to show off today's project. Since Henry goes to school on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, mama decided her time at home with me needed to go to productive pursuits. Today she hung up some pictures.
Mama and Miss Leah came across this in a Pottery Barn catalog. Mama liked it so much, so she gave it a try.

If you're reading this tonight during the vice presidential debate, you're need to do some work to stay productive too. (Because we're sure that watching this debate will only make you dumber.) So to pass the time, check out this link-The Sara Palin Baby Name Generator. Find out what your all-American name would be. And God save us if this really is the best that the two Presidential candidates could find.

Evening in the park- Henry.

It was a great night to be outside, so we loaded up the minivan and looked for a new park.
We found a park with a mile long running path.

I was disappointed because I thought there might be a playground.

Along the path were circuit training stops. I think this is how you're supposed to use this one.

Mama and I stopped for a picture.

Here's one before I got too tired to do anything but whine. And of course that started when we were farthest away from out car.

Not even papa's goofiness made me feel better.

Juner had a good time too, even after it started to get dark.

On our way out, we stopped by a bridge to look at fish.

I had a good time until I tried to crawl through the opening. Then mama made me climb back in.

Science museum- Henry.

Per our normal Wednesday morning routine, we headed to the science museum.
First stop was the dino exhibit where I got to help dig for bones- just like in my George book.

Mama had to tell me to calm down when I got too excited about my discoveries.

Then we went to the pretend farmer's market and I bought mama a great lunch.

June decided she wanted in on the fun, so we put her in the rocking boat.

She seemed to enjoy it...

...until I jumped on the other side and rocked it hard enough to make her fall over.

Eats dirt and leaves- June,

This morning, we walked Henry to school. When we got home, mama set me down so she could put the stroller away and talk to our neighbor. When mama turned back to me, she found that I had stuffed as much red clay as I could into my mouth! Yum! She cleaned me up, but you can still see the remnants on my nice white jacket.
I have the worst mother ever! She never lets me have any fun!
