Daughters of the American Revolution Essay Reading

Jessica won an essay contest a few months back and was asked to participate in some readings at local libraries for April, May and June. We took these pictures at the April reading. Mrs. Mangelly has been just a joy to work with. She plays the accordian and hosts the readings each time. She is a hoot. She also uses the accordian to play some of the songs that were popular in the days of the Civil War. (The essays are about Abe Lincoln's Gettysburg Address!) It all fits together nicely and we're so proud of Jess and her willingness to continue to read her essay. I'm thinking she'll have it memorized soon!
