New Year - New Storage

I hope you all had a great start into 2016. May it be a healthy, peaceful, inspirational and successful year.

I decided to end the year with layers of glue on my fingers - First Edition glossy deco mache glue to be precise (and I added so much glue to my fingers that I would not have left identifiable fingerprints anywhere ... in fact, I still found traces of glue on two fingers this morning). Two rectangular TJENA boxes from IKEA, which were originally white, were waiting to be turned into storage boxes. So they got covered in First Edition deco mache papers on hogmanay and decorated on 1 January.

The first box is for storing paper flowers (mainly paper cherry blossoms) and should be stackable with other boxes, so I added cherry blossoms together with some assessories to the front of the box.

The second box is for storing bus timetables. This box will be kept in a drawer with a frosted glass front hence the labelling on the lid.

Product lists and step-by-step instructions for both boxes are - as usual - in my Trimcraft gallery.

3D Pearl Effects Caddy

Today I would like to share another piece of craft storage with you. Since I got the two sets of Dovecraft 3D Pearls Effects they had been in the two plastic bags they came in. They not only deserve better, but it is also so much easier to use them when they are stored nicely with the full overview over the range of colours. And from time to time it is so nice to create a project that can remain in the own craft room without the need to part with gorgeous products.

The caddy is created with Dovecraft 3D Pearl Effects in mind, but I also tried it with the similar bottles of Stickles glitter glue, Liquid Pearls and alcohol inks from my stock and they fit into the caddy as well. Its measurements are 8.5cm (H) x 12cm (W) x 12cm (D). The lid is deliberately kept flat, so that another caddy or the embossing folder box can be stored on top of it.

The main elements of this caddy are products from the Dovecraft Sweet Paris collection by Trimcraft and kraft cardstock (I used 350gsm cardstock by Craftwork Cards). A full product list and instructions can - as usual - be found in my Trimcraft gallery. The templates are also added below, as the details might be easier to read on here.

Storage Box for Embossing Folders

My collection of embossing folders just keeps on grwoing. I have got specific storage for A6 and 5" x 7" folders - but that is full. And now that Trimcraft have started to bring out such beautiful embossing folders I just want to store in a nice way and keep them handy for design team projects. This is how the idea for this storage box was born. And it is also such a great way of creating a project with the Dovecraft Sweet Paris collection that I can actually keep in my craftroom.

The assembled box measures 8cm (H) x 12cm (W) x 12cm (D). The dividers are deliberately a bit higher, so that the individual sections can be identified easily.

A product list and instructions are in my Trimcraft gallery. But I am also posting the templates here, as the images on the Trimcraft fourm are relatively small.
