Pulau Tioman | Pahang

Hey guys.

Today I'm gonna write about my trip to Pulau Tioman few months ago. This trip was organised by my parents who booked a package from Matta Fair. We had postponed this trip several time due to work commitment and unavailable timing. All of us joined the trip. The cost the package was around RM320 which includes accomodation 3D2N, meals and snorkelling.

Day One

We departed earlier one day and stayed overnight at Endau. We booked  budget hotel which could accomodate all of us. Our boat schedule was at 10.30am tomorrow. That night we had seafood dinner at a restaurant nearby, Restoran Nusantara.

Our ferry departed from Terminal Feri Tanjung Gemok which is located just 10 minutes away from our hotel. Our ferry left the pier at around 10.30am if I'm not mistaken. The journey took 2 hours. Lama gila ok! The journey of course not so smooth with some bumps. Kebushhh kebushhhhh~

Two hours later, we reached Salang jetty. By the way, Salang is the furthest back on the island, thus our turn to alighted from the boat was the last one. Our accommodation for 3D2N trip was at Salang Pusaka Resort. It was a very nice area with a lot of chalets and some restaurants. Be careful around here as there are a lot of komodo lizard (biawak) around here. Please take care of your children.

After checking in our rooms, we had breakfast at the restaurant nearby. Lunch was not included in the package, therefore this one was on us. Actually the food was good here. There was nasi goreng nemo in the menu which was basically a seafood fried rice. I was thinking they put the real nemo inside the fried rice. Lol.

Later that day, we went out and take a stroll along the beach. The beach was nice, we could just snorkel from here. Many tourists were already inside the water at that time. Since we still haven't claimed our snorkel set yet, therefore we just swam at the beach. The kids played with the sand, they brought their own beach toys set. Pastu gaduh berebut2. Kids.

Day Two

It's our snorkelling day! Just enjoy the photos okay? I'm lazy to write anymore. Haha..

We had to take turn in snorkelling as we have small kids. The snorkel area was nice as well, a lot of black-striped yellow fishes could be seen as well as Dory. However the corals weren't very nice though. Maybe we had to dive down deep inside the sea to see the pretty corals. But the most important thing to bring during snorkelling is bread. Fishes love breads. Hahaha..

For dinner, we had barbecue set. They served fishes, cuttlefishes, chickens, sausages and lambs. The food was so awesome but the portion was so big until we could not finished them all.

Day Three

Balikkkkkkkk~

Another long journey from Endau to Shah Alam. Esok kerja pulak tu. Huhuhu..

Janda Baik | Pahang

Assalamualaikum & Have a good day peeps~

So, new year has finally come. 2015 please be good to me, let me be happy all the time. Hehe.. As a start, our first trip this year was to Janda Baik which is located in Pahang. What's so special about this place? Janda Baik offers a very calm and isolated waterfall and stream plus the location which is near to Kuala Lumpur also become one of our reason to visit here. Based from Waze or Google Map, Janda Baik is located only 74km from our home in Shah Alam, thus it only took one hour plus to reach there.

This was my first time in Janda Baik. My mom had booked Teratak Pak Lah which is wooden chalet which offers quite a reasonable price ranging from RM60 to RM100 per night depending on room types. Some rooms have attached bathroom and some don't. They also provide BBQ area and stoves if you required one.

We arrrived at the chalet at noon on the 1st of January. We unloaded our stuffs (well my mom packed almost everything from home including food and kitchen utensils). Then we rest a bit before we enter the stream. The water quite cloudy maybe because it was raining a bit. We dipped our bodies in the water and enjoyed the moment for a while before starting our BBQ session. Since they didn't provide fridge, thus we put our cold food items in the river just to make sure they were kept cold. Hahaha..

Fefeeling Harry Potter.. haha

For me, this place is very convenient as it has nearby stream. Just go out from your room and your can take a bath in the cold running water immediately. The water is very cold but very refreshing.

The next morning, we prepared some breakfast which is egg mayo sandwich and noodle soup. Then, we entered the stream again for the final time before we headed out for Friday prayer. After prayer, we took a rest and then checked out at 4 pm. The owner was very lineant, he said we could checked out later since there was no other guests checking in. Alhamdulllah..

Might come back here in the future. I recommended my friend to go here and she said she love it!

Cuti-cuti Cameron Highlands (Post Convo)

Assalamualaikum & have a good day peeps!

Ini entri yang sangat2 tertunggak ye. This trip happened a couple of months ago right after my convocation at IMU Bukit Jalil. After the convocation, we dashed off to Taiping for my brother's engagement ceremony. We stayed at Taiping overnight and continued our journey to Penang. In Penang, we beraya at Wanji's house, Boboi's house and also grabbed the opportunity to shop at Hard Rock Hotel Penang. Hehehe..

After that, we drove on a hilly road up to Cameron Highlands by taking Simpang Pulai route. There are two ways to Cameron Highlands, the other one is from Tapah. However, the Simpang Pulai route is generally safer and less curvy than the other one. We reached Tanah Rata at night around 9 like that. We stayed in this lovely apartment promoted by my brother's friends. The Camerons. It's a very lovely apartment with 3 bedrooms with English-style decoration. Astro is provided as well. :)

That night we had a chitchat before dozing off. So, our itinerary started on the next day.

English-styled apartment.. Who wouldn't want it?

KHM Strawberry Farm

This farm is a must for us to visit if we're at Cameron Highlands. It is located in Taman Sedia also in Tanah Rata. Here, they served scones with strawberry jam and cream and also some other strawberry products like homemade ice cream, fresh and dried strawberries and strawberry jams. I love the ice cream although the topping is very sweet. Having the ice cream without the topping is much better I guessed. Then I took a few photos with the strawberry plants.

Momo!

Kea Farm

My sister didn't plan to buy any vegetables or fruits here but we dropped by here for a couple of minutes to buy strawberry-designed alas kaki for my nieces. It's best to go here in the morning as there will be less crowded and can park your car easily. All of the products are from here so they must be very fresh. They sell corns, sweet potatoes, cabbages, cactus, fresh flowers and many more. Singgah kejap jek.. Hehe..

BOH Tea Plantation

This place is amazing. The scenery was breathtaking. It's all surrounded with green. Inilah keindahan ciptaan Tuhan. Sangat indah, permai dan menenangkan.. Also refreshing! Very beautiful indeed. :)

Actually, we were planning to have tea there but since today's Monday, therefore it was closed. So we diverted our journey up to Gunung Brinchang. We stopped a few times to capture our moments with the teas. Momo must be very happy because I dragged him/her along.

Mossy Forest

We encountered this forest while driving up to the peak of Gunung Brinchang. There's no one here, empty. I think because today was a working day, so people didn't go up here except on weekend. We slowly parked our car because the road is a bit steep. Your bumper might be scratched id you didn't park properly. Then, we climbed the wooden steps into the forest. So, what's so special about this Hutan Lumut? It's simple. There's a lot of mosses here! Especially on the tree barks. If you are lucky enough, you can see pitcher plants (periuk kera) here. Oh ya, I brought along my Momo as well. Hehe.. We didn't walked the trails until the end but turned back at half way. Time was the limiting factor here. We really need to go back to Shah Alam later.

Cameron Valley Bharat Plantations Tea House

Finally we got the chance to have teas in Cameron Highlands. After having a quick tour in the souvenir shop, we sat down to have a hot tea. I chose honey lemon tea since I was still having sore throat at that moment. There's a free wifi here as well. :)

We spent a few minutes here before continuing our journey down the highlands. We took the Simpang Pulai route again because my brother wanted to have cendol somewhere in Batu Gajah. Slurrpppp...

Since I've been to Cameron Highlands for a quite numerous of times, therefore I didn't buy many souvenirs. Only a few magnets for my close friends and for me as well.
